THIS ONE is newer, faster and better on battery. Also includes rooting tools (to be flashed from recovery).
One malybru quoted is also good, but is GB, one i linked is ICS.
P.S. I'm using it at the moment and am very happy with it (rooted)

Hi,
All I know is that it is very close to stock.
I have never tried it myself.
It will not hurt to try it for yourself.
You can of course flash an RUU of your region and carrier.
This will return your entire phone(including recovery) back to stock.
It will leave you s-0ff.

No, if you still want s-off and root you are better off flashing one of the stock roms.
With ruu you will lose root, custom recovery and other goodies.
BTW, if you have a look under our avatars you will see why we cannot be on T-Mobile US.

Look for shipped roms in development forum. Find one for T-Mobile us, run from windows with phone connected via USB.

RUU stands for ROM Update Utility. It is a utility you run on your computer to flash your device via USB.

If you want stock ICS go with ARHD and never look back. If you want GB stock rooted flash the RUU from that stock builds thread and follow the guide to root.

Yes it'll revert your phone back to original stock out of the box.
You'll still be S-OFF, but it shouldn't matter, most of store employees are too stupid to know what that is, let alone even check it, or know how to check it.

[Q] How do I get a stock ROM?

Hi All,
I'm about to root and flash a new ROM onto my HTC Sensation but before I do so, I want to have a backup of the stock ROM in case I need to take the phone in for a repair.
I'm looking for the Vodafone Australia HTC Sensation stock ROM but can't find it!
Does anyone have one which they could send me a link to?
Or, is there a way which I can make a backup of the stock ROM from my phone?
Thanks!
EDIT: just to clarify, I've tried searching for the RUU but there don't seem to be any for Vodafone AUS. So is there anyway to backup the stock? Thanks! (I'm not exactly a newbie at rooting/flashing, just never had to worry about backing up for warranty purposes before)
i was wondering the same thing! cant find the ruu! hope someone can guide us to restore without a RUU
or some method gets invented

Not sure if it helps, there are many of RUU in shipped-roms.com, Sensation related ROMs are in http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Pyramid

hey did you find a way to do it?
People, before you flash a new rom you need to make a nandroid back up! In case you need to restore your phone for what ever reason.....
This is also done in clockworkmod recovery.....
Hit the backup/restore button and you are good to go.
If you look at the step by step install protocols in the tread of your choosen rom, one of the first steps is DO A NONDROIDBACKUP....
Goodluck!

you cant S-on without a RUU though? thats what the guide says?
If you do restore, you are unrooted.... But be careful restoring s-on, its more riskie than requiring s-of! Read the threads regarding this proces and do what it says every step!

You'll need to have stock recovery and bootloader, which a nandroid backup doesn't save. And only an RUU, AFAIK will give you those.

Here is a link to an Australian Vodafone stock RUU, I note yours is a slightly newer version than this RUU, however I would expect this would be fine if you need to go back to stock.
http://www.filefactory.com/file/c13...00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_220002_signed.exe (thanks to Football)
BTW you either need your stock RUU or you need to have backed up stock recovery and Hboot before rooting (via temp root) because these are overwritten in the revolutionary s-off and custom recovery installation process. A nandroid backup is important but it won't take you back to stock.
For a short time I've got the RUU in my dropbox, it might be a bit quicker and less ads! http://is.gd/Vaq45l

If there is one. This is yet another example of why guides to root should also highlight the importance of making notes of everything before changing anything. For the OP, you're pretty much screwed so just pick a generic RUU and use it

RUU's are intended for emergencies if your phone gets bricked and what nots; not for updating your phone. Of course you can flash any ROM as long as you fast boot the boot.img. Best of luck. and keep a 2.31 RUU incase the phone somehow bricks. (Just relock the bootloader and follow the instrucitons)
