[Q] Cant understand what wrong with baseband - LG Optimus 3D

Hello to all!
In first, excuse me for my english.
Can anybody help me understand, what wrong with my baseband ?
When i buy my Thrill 4G, seller flash some optimus P920 rom, and send phone to me. (Android 2.3.5, baseband L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1042.00)
And now i can install only Thaiz 2.7.1 rom (great rom, thnx dev) All other is dont get signal (AcuraTeam 3D MAX v1, Promethius, DNA 3.3.3, etc.)
What i need to do, to get working all other roms ?
Thnx for answer!
One more time, sorry for my english.

All the LG Basebands appear with the same name: L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1042.00, but they are different.
To get the real version of your Baseband, download GetRIL from Google PlayStore (is free). It will tell you what version of Baseband you really have.

baseband real is v18a.
its GB baseband.
So whats wrong?

1 more question.

And I'm coming from atrix crazy cwm can I just use rom manager recovery after I root my device with superoneclick?
Thanks

I think you can use the OneClick for root, but not the ROMS, beacuse our roms are made for 3G and your phone is 4G CDMA, so, i think the radio drivers are different (but is my oppinion).
Best regards,
A.

Thanks for your input! I also just bought a thrill and was wondering the same. The thrill is GSM on at&t actually, so perhaps roms may work too if that's the only barrier?
One click works on LG thrill I have mine rooted since I picked it up yesterday
Ok cool guys thanks, Yea I'm about to do the superoneclick I'm not seeing a forum for us yet but I'm sure it wont take long.. The roms shouldn't take to long to port drivers radio ect. So cross yo fingers for some devs!

not to be mean or anything but please say what kind of problem you are having in the header it makes it easyer for people to help you and get a hind of what problem you have whitout having to klick the link (some people are lazy)
That is the issue related to ghost calls, the typical syndrome.
Update to either 21E or 21F or you will continue having ghost calls.

Did you get the official 2.3 update? If not then you are on old baseband. It's possible that the baseband patch used is faulty. Post #9 in the LG Optimus One FAQ has a download for a known good old baseband fix. If that's not the issue, I'd suggest changing ROMs.

You didn't answer the question I asked in my previous post. But in any case, loss of service means that your device is NEW BASEBAND. Just reflash any CM7 ( Android 2.3 ) or newer ROM and your service will be restored. Granted you may still end up facing your previous issue. I've been a member here for some time and I've never heard of anyone experiencing the issue you are having. It's possible that there is something wrong with your phones radio hardware. I am at a loss on this one.
Baseband is actually the radio frequencies that the device uses to communicate with the service provider. It's a constant on the device. Meaning that it never changes from ROM to ROM unless you use a tool like LGMDP to flash a radio/baseband. For the best stability, CM7 ROMs are the way to go. ICS has had most of the bugs worked out of it. JB on the other hand is really not a stable daily driver for our devices and is problematic when installing because of the small size, 190 MB, of the system partition.

This issue isn't related to Rom or Baseband. As you said.. you get signal but you loose it after some time. May be signal is weak where you stay.
Go to settings.. select network mode 2G. And network search.. Automatic. Still you get this problem then its your operator's issue.

[Q] LG Optimus 3D CM7 revert to stock

I received an LG P920 from a friend because he gave up on it and upgraded to a new HTC. Problem was.. when he had it he lost the original stock rom from a format. It is now running Cyanogenmod 7. I am left with a Optimus 3D I desperately want back on stock so that I can upgrade to ICS. I use straight talk as a cell provider so I have my own SIM and have my settings set accordingly. I have tried time and time again and scoured forums for answers. I cannot get Google Play to work and I am basically stuck with a dumb smartphone. I have to do constant restarts to get messages/make calls/update my battery status. Please help a very lost and confused Optimus owner.

[q] ics/jb roms with 3d?

Just Got a new O3D and I plan to root it soon...but before I do,I want to know.
Is there any perfectly working 4.x ROM that works well and I still get to keep my 3D camera/screen?
Am still waiting for any helpful reply
There is no best rom. And this question is prohibited in the forums.
Btw... what kind of rom you have now? Which baseband? In which country you use the phone?

So ... you have a long way to go. Rooting is the most easy thing in the whole work.
So... JB/CM -> not 3D view
To go to ICS... you should first install over computer in KDZ or Bin/FLS file the ICS system - I am almost sure that you will brick your phone 1-2 times - so it is better to read careful what is written in the manuals. Basically you should go from your V20p to V28B or V30a/b/c via LGFlashtools or SmartFlash(good change to loose you IMEI - so look for how to repair my IMEI cos you will not have signal). Then you should install open bootloarer (there is a tools) cos most of the Kernels work only in open one. Then you can install custom roms... well... they are all Rooted so you should not care about that.
As drastic00 said - read the developer section and all about resurrection guides.

No. you should install first over the computer the ICS and then you can install over CWM custom Roms. so.... read read read.
Why not update to ICS through the LG update tool LG released the update a while ago now..
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
You could try it but LG updater tool has been bricking phones left and right. Better to install ICS by LG Flash tool.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2195753
Then you can install p-vlad's custom ROM or xbsall's or whatever ROM you want, or stay on stock ICS.
Mine worked perfectly, in fact it unbricked my locked GB after I messed around with the kernel. And updated it ICS perfectly. Big performance improvement, I can run games I wouldnt expect a mid 2011 (mid range phone) to run. It's given it a whole new life that the GB roms never could and even xbsalls and other ICS+ roms felt sluggish compared to it.
