No idea if I am posting it in correct location. Sorry if not.
Is there a list of all devices than can run custom roms and are fully unlocked? My HD7 dies and want something new but do not want to get stuck with a locked device some homebrew apps are a must!!
Any links if there is a thread like this?

That's not true, there are also custom roms for the Lumia 710. (Even though it doesn't have a front facing camera so I'm not sure how much second gen it is)
Aha but Lumia800 can custom rom aside there must be more phones where we can do full unlock?

[INFO] List of Unlocks by Type/OEM
Just these few posts show my problem, no one seems to know exactly. Nokia 710 and 800 can be unlocked so I guess can have custom roms. Saying that I need more list of phones that can have full unlocks.

Aha Thx, Nokia Lumia 800 & 900 are my bet. I will look like a right idiot plugging all the phones in a shop for testing.

Hi guys,
Is someone moving in order to bring a custom rom on this device?
It was already rooted but i'm not seeing any
nope, bootloader is locked in every nokia except n900. one community does not simply port android into nokia.

It has been posible for a while now with the windows break project:

You need to NOT have the last firmware update installed on your phone, though.

the firmware update stops it all working, if you used zune there should be a backup made automatically , try rolling back to that.
as for custom roms, I own a focus S, although I don't have it at the moment, and there is almost no activity at all so I wouldn't hold your breath for it,
I have a feeling that there is a flashable rom for yours tho which is getting worked on.

If you updated using zune, a backup should be in there. Zune makes a backup automatically everytime you update.
Just restore to that backup and you might be able to jailbreak it.

theres almost no one working on it due to limited distribution, the focus S is (looks like) an amazing device but because its wrapped up with AT&T in the US it never gained the attention it should have, thus no developers.
Id actually like to have a wee chat with some of the DFT team to find out what we can achieve ourselves, there must be something we can do, a dummies guide to bootloader unlocking needs to be made! hell id even pay for it!

As would I, the focus S is the best WP7 device hands down. Not an opinion, a fact.
Hi folks,
I have HTC 8X that I got from AT&T. Is it possible to flash a custom ROM or international ROM to it? It is very annoying to wait for the portico update. International ones gets the update faster and have internet sharing enabled by default as far as I know. Is it possible to flash international or custom ROM to such phone? My phone is developer unlocked if that helps...
Have a look in the development section.

there is no custom ROMs yet, right? I was looking for anything that can be so called Custom Rom but I found only unlocking stuff on so on. I need something to see folder system of my phone and to be able to install XAPs. Any ideas? is it even possible for future?
There are no custom ROMs yet. However I've seen wp8 running on the HD2, I've seen some progress made by our awesome devs here in 8x dev forums and wp8 dev forums.
If you'd like things to go faster, however, you have a couple of options now, you can start with downloading the wp8 emulator, a few stock roms from this or the nokia lumia forums, mount with ImgMount Tool from AnDim (wp8 dev section), and start improvising a way to make your desires work! Good luck!
There is hope

This guy is awesome!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Tell me that this is not true. I just read an article thats says in summary that in android 4.4 because of a security feature we might be loosing the ability to flash custom Roms...This frustrates me because I am getting the Nexus 5 for this exact reason (ROMS) and why Im getting rid of my I9500 S4. Please Developers tell me what you know about this. :S

I seriously hope this will not happen, because it wouldn't be Android anymore :/
Manufacturers who ship devices with locked bootloaders and with dm-verity enabled will be effectively closing the door on custom firmware installations.

Is this the case with the N5? No. You can unlock your bootloader. And whatever that other thing is, I doubt it applies to the N5...
Nope
I have not read this article. The new security features will stop you from rooting a device (using traditional methods) but any devices which can be unlocked can install custom roms and then also be rooted
Nexus devices can ALWAYS be unlocked and therefore can ALWAYS be rooted!
This is why you get a nexus device. Manufactures and especially carriers are locking down their phones to the point they're not any fun to own anymore. But nexus will always have custom roms and unlockable bootloaders
Supposedly our device can be bootloader unlocked right? I mean I tried going through the process on Nokia's website and it allowed me (tho I didn't go all the way cuz my device is registered and I'm afraid they'll void me the warranty as soon as they give me the unlock bootloader code) so why doesn't this device have more custom ROMs?
I sold my Mi A2 and bought this device and although its a much MUCH better device than A2, I do miss the many custom ROMs that device has available, and it baffles me because A2 and this device share most of the same specs. I know the bootloader unlocking issue WAS an issue months, if not years ago, because HMD didn't allowed it. Is there a lack of source code for the development of custom ROMs or this device doesn't interest the community what-so-ever?
There is no official way to unlock bootloader, only unoffical.
Nokia 7+ has treable support, so any a/b GSI should work.
Who would want a custom ROM on an Android One phone?

First, you may have not read a lot on our beloved XDA forums/community, otherwise you would know some better behavior. So, get some manners.
Second, usually, you wish for/use a cleaned and better responsive custom ROM to get away from bloated **** ROMs installed by phone manufacturers, but with an Android One device you do not have to. At least, I hear that is why loads of people use/buy them (including me). Unlocking the boot loader and installing Magisk is nice, but what else do you need then?

I actually prefer a more AOSP Pixel version of Android than anything else (Pixel Experience), plus Mi A2 already has a custom rom based on Android Q's beta, something this device does not have.
