No internet after custom rom - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I have no more internet after I updated my rom to SKY 4.2d-10. Everything else works. I am on AT&T. Please help.

check your apn settings, and that your radio is compatible with the rom u flashed. I'm almost sure it's your apn settings though.
Also, if that rom includes that 15 toggle mod, make sure active data packets is set to enabled in settings, sometimes the data toggle sticks, and doesn't work

Internet as in wifi or internet as in cellular data? No wifi = reflash, no cell data = see above.

I can`t enable internet in MIUI

After installing MIUI I can`t enable data transfer (2g/3g internet). Data transfer is turning on, but there is no 2g/3g logo and internet. This happens after installing all MIUI stock and custom roms. APN settings is correct, before it was ok. I`m installing via Clockwork recovery v5. Device is G2x (P999)
What should I do? How to enable it?
I believe for the g2x you should see an H next to the bars, that is if you are in a good service area.
Otherwise I think it also shows G, and E.
If it doesn't have anything at all, then I'm not sure.
Does the internet work when you go inti the browser?

what i have a problem is the backupp app does nto work for me im runing rg2x miui by richie
Yah I have the same problem, I notice it works but when you use WiFi then your done w/ the wifi and shut it off the regular cell data never comes back on - You have to completely reboot the phone...I'm using SINGH-UI - same thing

I`ve tried SINGH UI too, as I remember wi-fi is on by defalut, isn`t it? So, I turned it off, and use my phone few days. Rebooted it few times, but data not worked ((
I had this problem before, go to ur APNs and go to authentication and make the authentication "None" instead of "Not set". That will enable ur data

Hey go to SETTINGS->MOBILE NETWORKS->ACCESS POINT NAMES-> in here select option button in your android phone, in the menu select NEW APN, you will get the APN settings as seen in this. In the link ACCESS NUMBER = SERVER in mobile.
As I am not allowed to post link for first ten TIMES! will guide you through
google search -> "vodafone apn address" the third result will be GPRS APN Settings with Username and Password - Modem Unlock. Click it and follow the method above mentioned.

LTE / CM9 CM10 Roms

I know a lot of people have been reporting issues with getting or keeping LTE with some of the CM based roms. I too had the issue.
After digging through threads for the HOX and several other devices I was able to find a solution (for me) and just wanted to share my findings here in a fresh thread (plus I'm a noob and can't post in the developer threads for those experiencing the issue).
Any time I went from a 4.0.4 Sense-based rom to any of the cm based roms I could never get my LTE to stick even after changing apns or *#*#info#*#*. What I discovered was if I would flash a Sense-based rom that was prior to 4.0.4 (I use cleanrom 4.0) , wipe caches, full wipe and then install the CM based rom all things were good with my LTE regardless of which radio I flashed.
Hopefully this will help some of you out there.
I've also discovered that coming from cr4.5 that there are settings that stick...namely wifi settings. I've wiped everything on my phone including internal storage and flashed something new and in the newly flashed roms there are wifi settings were remembered.
I don't know where any of this stuff is stored in the phone but i thought that a full system wipe, cache, dalvich would have cleared EVERYTHING.

Learn something new every day...thanks!
Then might I ask, why don't those settings, or why don't my apps auto load, when I use an AOKP rom?

THANKS! I wasn't getting a 4G icon at all on CM10 but I did a full wipe (factory/system), flashed CR 4.0, checked 4G speeds (check), did another full wipe and installed CM10 & GA. As soon as the welcome screen came up I saw a 4G in the status bar. :good:

When u say full wipe. What exactly do u wipe? cache? system? external storage? factory reset?

Wipe Caches, Factory Reset, System wipe. Everything but the SD card.
[EDIT] I shouldn't say "everything". No need to wipe battery stats, rotation or SD card for this particular fix.
Should I do a fresh flash of cm? Or do u think a cm backup would work?
(Update), dirty flash back no working for that. Too lazy to go other route at this point.

worked for me perfectly. Thanks.
this is driving me nuts
I tried following this.... nothing works
clean ROM 4.0 then wipe 'all' then install CM10 8-29 (since link to 8-30 is broken)
I am still only getting HSPA and 3G
APN is always set to WCDMA by default
I use clockwork recovery... could that be it ?
help me out guys.

I am with Rogers. I see rogers-core-appl1.apn that was set by default.
I do not know if this should or not connect to LTE. I found on a website that I could use ltemobile.apn but its only getting me HSPA and 3G.
I might have to reflash on cleanrom 4.0 and compare APN. but i do get 4G-LTE with clean rom
Anyone can tell me what APN they use to get LTE on rogers with all APN info?
Thanks
---------- Post added at 12:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:16 AM ----------
SUCCESS !!!!!
ok, so the APN was indeed rogers-core-appl1.apn and this one does not give LTE access.
I set up a new APN as below
Name: Rogers LTE
APN: ltemobile.apn
MMSC: xxxx://mms.gprs.rogers.com (please xxxx by https at beginning of the line... sorry as I am new on forum I cannot paste URL)
MMS Proxy: 10.128.1.69
MMS Port: 80
MCC - 302
MNC - 720
APN Type: *
I then changed the mode to LTE/GSM/CDMA using the *#*#4636#*#* and I now get 4g icon that means LTE.
I also see the its LTE from the phone info page.
Thanks for your help.!!

For the Rogers phones I have done 3 of them now and when you flash CleanRom 4.0 you have to go in and setup the Rogers APN and connect at least once. I found this makes a huge difference. If you don't for whatever reason the settings don't stick.
Once you flash CM10 I turn mobile data off and erase the 3 APN's that are listed. I then start fresh with a new APN for LTE.
I only have HSPA+ out here where I am so I can't test if the LTE or 4G symbol comes up. I have noticed that with HSPA+ I still only show as connected to HSPA under Phone Info but the speeds are HSPA+.
The settings for the APN that I used for Rogers is:
Name Rogers LTE
APN ltemobile.apn
Proxy Not Set
Port Not Set
User Not Set
Pass Not Set
server Not Set
mmsc http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
mms proxy 10.128.1.69
mms port 80
mms protocol WAP 2.0
mcc 302
mnc 720
auth Not Set
apn type *
apn enabled enabled
bearer unspecified
Also CM10 erases the voicemail number from the phone. So call your phone from your phone and access your voicemail. If you check your call log after that the voicemail number should show up there.

yes I had that fixed. number is +1 514 992 1188 for my region (Montreal)
By the way, the signal type reset on reboot. I need to dial *#*#4636#*#* and select LTE/GSM/CDMA.
I know some people have made it stick and I followed the instructions but it does not work for me. hopefully they can fix this.
I cleared everything and flashed to cleanROM 4.0 then cleared again and installed CM10-8-29.
This is a minior issue but gets on my nerves.
Cheers !

Its not working either. Nothing seems to get the signal type to stick on my phone.
Its a minor bug and I guess I can be patient and wait for a fix.
The one that is really bugging me is the low volume on calls.
Hope they can fix it.

[Q] Data issues with stock UCLF6 rom and radio

Hello
I usually disable network data when not using it and using WiFi but after Wifi is not in range and re-enabling data , it simply not working and I get "connect to data network error when opining the browser...the 4G icon is showing near the signal with up and down activity but not connecting to the internet. Sometimes airplane mode on then off will fix it and can get data back or if it doesn't I try resetting the phone then it would work ... I am on stock ICS UCLF6 4.0.4 with UCLF6 radio all stock and stock recovery ...Using ST SIM card and att.mvno apn,not proxy or anything else and selected (can't delete the default pta apn permanently)
Is it a radio issue ? does anybody having the same problem from time to time ? several reset to factory defaults/clearing cache and data didn't solve it ..Will another radio like Rogers , UCLF5 or UCLE2 would solve it ?
Thanks

a) use APN: pta it's better then att.mvo. U don;t need to delete the original one just clock on it and edit then settings/save
But try these first:
1) Go to settings/more/mobile networks/access point names/ once there press the left bottom settings and click reset to default.
now restart, go in there again and make sure apn is selected. If still nothing, pull the battery out while phone is on, wait 30 sec, then start up again.
2) If all fails try this radio by mohan ROGERS - UXLF3 Radio (came with official Rogers ICS release). Download.
Flash it then:
in phone type *#2263#
select LTE/ LTE all/ click seetings end
wait for data to come back up
again then in phone type *#2263#, select 1(Auto), then settigns END
3) What's ST SIM? is it red on the back? if it's not red you wont get 4g/LTE, get a red one.
3) if nothing works then flash a custom ROM from forum or if you want stock flash one of these: (u need custom Recovery)

I see, if that apn does not work then it may be the network, you just don;t have permission.
We have here ChatR and Fido, they use Rogers networks, but apn's all work fine since Rogers owns both of them.
Try all the above, and particularly if you can get a red SIM.

[Q] no internet- cm nightly builds p5100

Hi all.
I have a Samsung Tab 2 10.1 P5100 on the cm-10.1-20130513-NIGHTLY-p5100.zip after following the instructions-
1. Wipe Cache Partition followed by Wipe Dalvik Cache
2. Install cm zip
3. Install gapps
I have no internet data or wifi anymore. I see that the network of my provider Optus is found with full bars same with my wifi connection looks connected. Cant use a browser etc...
Any ideas why this would be??
any help would be appreciated.
many thanks in advance
PS- i also tried installing some latest versions of nightly and still the same result
try updating ur tab with new firmware
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=p5100&type=nightly
hit thanks, it matters:good::good:
thanks for the tip, although i have tried multiple roms.
The data icon picks up my mobile provider which is good however its the 3g data that is not working. Basically i have no 3G data working on this rom.
Is the whole internet is not working or just 3g?
Open the quick setting bar and make sure the 3g is activated
Go to settings>in wireless and networks click more...>then click on mobile data and make auire its active

You missed a crucial step.
WIPE DATA FACTORY RESET
the whole internet is not working on 3g. It only works on wireless. I have checked the APN settings and i can see that it has picked up my telco provider. And i also did a Wipe Data Factory Reset.
Any ideas?

Latest 4.2.2 roms no service VZW

Has anyone else had this problem? No matter what latest rom I try, there is no data service at all. Even when I go into the configuration menu from the dialer and try to select the network, it refuses to do it. No matter what I do, my data will not work at all.

I saw your posts in the forums.
I'm having the same issue. CM10.1 from 7/17 works, but nothing after that does. I'm on page plus. What were you on when you flashed? I had to downgrade my radio to the ICS radio to flash my phone. I'm not sure if this is the cause though.
I should just have to set it as cdma & evdo to get it work but the radio never seems to turn on.
