MID7042
Well everyone I've made progress, can't show images yet but Bulldog Titanium ECON 20 for ICS 4.0.3 MID7042 is working.. Now with latest configuration and Max WiFi Ultra SSS Max II. Out of the box you think the COBY tablet is fast! Well wait for Bulldog Titanium T100 with ECON 20 designed for 1GB Systems! Prior Systems ECON 6, 8, 10 were for 256MB to 512MB now ECON 20 for 1GB of RAM Tablets. Along with Max WiFi Ultra SSS Max II boy watch out!
Rooting..
Well as you all know that All Winner CPU tablets come with Rooted core but COBY for some odd reason has it block. Internally block. This causes others to come up with all sorts of so called OS Images for your 7042 which are based on other brands with All Winner. This leads to all sorts of issues. I say let's fix it or get it working on the COBY image which is better to me. Well I have to say I got what I needed on there and it now works.
ICS
Play Store
Google Mail
Youtube for Tablets
RAM
1GB there Norm is 670MB after boot-up or run FMR and get 739MB
CM3 no Overclocking this after the new reprogramming method I am using on it. Prior to my changes it was 1000 lower, now it's 1000 higher.

HTC Scorpion to pack 1.5GHz Snapdragon? / Get Android 2.2 Froyo on the iphone

HTC cranks out Android handsets like candy corn – and we love that. The only downside to this, however, is that each new leak has us drooling before the last leak even has time to become a real product.
Our salivary glands were just warming up for the HTC Incredible and the HTC Legend, but now we’ve got the HTC Scorpion (possibly codenamed “Olympian”) to dream about. According to the very-latest of leaks, this thing might pack a scorchingly fast 1.5 Ghz processor and the as-of-yet unreleased Android v2.2.
The emphasis in that last sentence, though, should be placed on “might”. We’re by no means 100% convinced this thing exists. Someone hooked the guys over at AndroidSpin up with what is reportedly a build file from this “Scorpion” device. The catch here, is that this leak is purely text – no images, no video, and thus, nothing tough to fake.

Get Android 2.2 Froyo on the iPhone 3G
Yes, you heard right!
Don’t know what to do with your soon to be retired iPhone 3G? Just install Android 2.2 aka Froyo on it. Sure it’s currently totally useless and sluggish (and according to those who tried it; causes the device to run extremely hot after a few minutes, but here are the installation instructions

[Q] What's a good keyboard app for low-spec Android devices?

So I got a iRobot 7in Android tablet (WM2.1.2_105)... was about $86 shipped.

I've had quite a bit of experience with these kinds of devices so it was fairly easy to get it rooted, hacked, optimized for best performance and working with Android Market.
...but optimized or no, it's still a low-spec device (256MB RAM, I'm quite sure the processor is below 600mHz... no 2D or 3D acceleration, 800x480 display), and I'm fine with that because I only got it because paying $160 for a Kindle that just reads books and nothing else seemed kinda retarded... especially when Android has a Kindle app.
Anyway, the keyboard (standard virtual keyboard) is actually the problem I've been having here. If I try to type the speed I'm used to typing, the device will skip strokes because it's not fast enough to keep up with me, and has all this predictive stuff+key enlargement effects slowing it down (of course, I tried the obvious solutions of disabling everything I can in Keyboard settings... still slow).
Are there any bare-bones keyboard apps with no added "under the hood" functions that you guys know of?
try this link..
scroll at the middle of the page.. u will see a download option.. download those keyboard apps.. it can also run or other devices besides htc.. download your correct resolution keyboard (download all and see which works best for you)
you will download a zip file.. install the two apk's...

GOOD DAY

Low Write speed SD card

Hello everybody,
Since 1 day i am a happy owner of the Samsung galaxy R. It has android 2.3.4 an I put ardatdat's kernel 1.3A on it.
Its a really nice kernel and my Galaxy R already has higer scores than the s2!
Only 1 thing:

}
The SD write card test is extremly low! The phone doesn't have a microSD card. I installed 25 apps orso and when i just flashed the kernel, everything was nice around 10-15 mb/s but now it's dropped down? Does anyone knows why?
Thank you!
try 5-7 tests in a row and you'll see the progress. I use sandisk 8 gb class 4 and writing speed is between 40 and 100, depends on the day, weather....and so on

Fancy on Android phone with keyboard?

Good afternoon, community!
Some time ago I started to think about mobile devices with full keyboards - but all what I found were tablets like 2 in 1 and they still didn’t looked good enough. I remembered my Nokias 9 series with beautiful S80 on board, what I have used to write course assignment at Uni, to write job applications, etc. By the same time I’ve been working in retail and used to sell this kind of devices - as well as legends like Qtec 9000. People loved it. So, I’ve decided to move forward!
I have created a concept of smartphone in notebook form-factor:

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3d model can viewed here https://skfb.ly/RHDK
Inspired by Psion 5 series, so it would have a proper QWERTY, and as Nokia 9 series, it would have 2 screens - inside and outside.
According to concept, it should work on modified version of android with access to linux apps, with factory root access and open boot loader for community ROMs.
I have contacted some ODM factories to get estimation for production, and got some advice on cost reduction, to edit concept - for available mainboard and screens - FHD, because its too expensive to produce specific ones.
So, if there is anyone who is interested in such product - you are very welcome leave your suggestions, ideas and comments!
There is a massive work still to be done before I would go for crowdfunding, so any help would be appreciated!
What type of keyboard would prefferable, laptop type, when screen is on the lid, or sliding out? Or anything else?

NERLMIAY chineese tablet

Hello people.
I did the mistake and bought a Chinese tablet from a website, that promised a lot, but finally it's not like that.
It's a 10,1 inch tablet . It should be very strong and fast, with 16GB Ram and so on. It also should have android 10.
Anyway, it works real slow. But the main problem is That it's android system is old and a lot of apps does not support it anymore.
Device Info HW application shows the specifications that you can see on the pictures.
I'm open to any suggestions that would make this device run smoothly and become a newer and more apps-compatible version of android.
I'm good at working through the PC, by connecting the tablet with it. I already did activate developer options and USB debugging. And it is also already rooted.
So, I don't know which TWRP image file to install, because I don't know which one would be compatible to this no-name tablet. Same goes also for a better custom ROM though.
Please people can anybody help me?
1. To find the right twrp image file
2. To find a custom rom
Thank you very much!

Why don't you just return the phone and ask for a refund?
what did you do to save him? I did the same **** as you, I bought it thinking it would be the best tablet in the world, 12 core 16gb of RAM, 512 of sd... all a lie
