Since 1 day i am a happy owner of the Samsung galaxy R. It has android 2.3.4 an I put ardatdat's kernel 1.3A on it.
Its a really nice kernel and my Galaxy R already has higer scores than the s2!

The SD write card test is extremly low! The phone doesn't have a microSD card. I installed 25 apps orso and when i just flashed the kernel, everything was nice around 10-15 mb/s but now it's dropped down? Does anyone knows why?

try 5-7 tests in a row and you'll see the progress. I use sandisk 8 gb class 4 and writing speed is between 40 and 100, depends on the day, weather....and so on

Thanks! Yeah i think im a little big a benchmark freak and im happy that this is already faster than the s2 (for now but also when i install a market app of 15MB it installs in 3-4 sec so my wurrys are over! Thankyou!

I am trying to sell my HTC Touch Pro. [Moderator, if this is not appropriate, please just delete it]. It is a T7272, which is Euro Version. I only had it for a month (Bought in late Dec.) and during my travel to Europe. Note I live in the U.S/NC, and the phone is unlocked to use any sim card. Well everyone I've made progress, can't show images yet but Bulldog Titanium ECON 20 for ICS 4.0.3 MID7042 is working.. Now with latest configuration and Max WiFi Ultra SSS Max II. Out of the box you think the COBY tablet is fast! Well wait for Bulldog Titanium T100 with ECON 20 designed for 1GB Systems! Prior Systems ECON 6, 8, 10 were for 256MB to 512MB now ECON 20 for 1GB of RAM Tablets. Along with Max WiFi Ultra SSS Max II boy watch out!
Rooting..
Well as you all know that All Winner CPU tablets come with Rooted core but COBY for some odd reason has it block. Internally block. This causes others to come up with all sorts of so called OS Images for your 7042 which are based on other brands with All Winner. This leads to all sorts of issues. I say let's fix it or get it working on the COBY image which is better to me. Well I have to say I got what I needed on there and it now works.

Currently it's running AOKP milestone 4.1.2. I run the Quadrant Standard and got very low scores, both with stock and custom ROMs.

Try to wipe everything and start fresh.
I started afresh when I bought it. Unlocked the bootloader and wiped the data and all. But I guess I'll try again.
Meanwhile, any other guesses?
IF you look at your benchmark and compare it with Nexus s then look at the Blue cpu and The red mem - then you find your nexus ok - I Think you have to move your apps to your sd Card - smile

Ok so moving the apps to SD card did give me a better score but the I/O and 2D scores are still relatively very low.
Searched and found nothing. Is there 'ROOT' or any custom ROMS for this device?

There is no App to SD feature on this device android 4.04. Can someone assist in the dev on this device? Root and ROM. Would love if some of the features left out of the stock rom were enabled.
Internal storage space is 8gb with 6 shipped unless the maps are there in which it drops to 2gb. It doesn't even support certain FS like exfat or similar so I had to format the 128gb SDXC card with Fat32...
Can we bake back in some of the normal Android features that were left out?

I would root it to run PPP widget3 and plug 4G key to have internet access without wifi share .
