Anyone else having issues updating Gmail or Maps? I get an error, "Update for 'Gmail' could not be downloaded due to an error. (941)". Any ideas?
You can try clearing the cache for the Market app.

I cleared the cache but all that did was remove the update notice for Gmail and Maps, a few hours later they show up for updates again and I get the same error.
For anyone that is curious, going to Settings -> Apps -> Google Play -> Uninstall Updates fixed this issue for me.
In my case, removing just the cache for the Play app wasn't enough - only after deleting all data for it did it appear to work again.

Had the same problem. I signed up for g+, and my profile had been suspended. Took more than 24 he's to correct. Go into the g+ web apparently and look at your profile.
With a suspended profile some serviced won't work. For me it was talk and latitude.

Use something like Astro or Titanium Backup to back up the apps that are giving you problems, then uninstall and restore them. I used to have a the same problem and this solved it for me. Also, I would always get a force quit error when starting up certain apps.
I did a search and didn't find anything that addresses my problem. I've been on SV7 since 9/20. Up until last Thursday the play store showed most apps. Now it only shows 16 to 22 apps regardless of category and when i search for apps I know I've seen before they are missing (ie. Lookout Security). I've forced closed PlayStore and cleared cache and data and it still shows the same number of apps. The only thing I've installed recently was WatchDog Lite.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try clearing data/cache again, but this time delete your Google account information, reboot, then re-enter it and see if it clears up the problem...

no question about updation of GAPPS...
Tried the force close, data and cache reset and deleting acct and ended up losing data connection. I ended up reinstall SV7 and everything seems to be working.

Did you try going into settings, then applications, find your email app under "all apps" - clear cache, clear data - then try the app again ?
It's worked for me in the past
Good luck

Yup, tried that.
Also tried reflashing'. tried updating to newest CM, tried resetting to factory... Wiping cache and Dalvik...
The only thing that has made it stop is disabling it in Settings/Apps but now my email app won't bring up any emails... I guess that's better then that crap popping up every few second...
I just wish I knew what I did to start this so I can avoid doing it in the future.
Especially since no one seems to know how to fix it
Running liquid 2.9 past two days have been getting this a lot on apps from the play store that I'm trying to update.Any fix for this

It's not just Liquid or any particular ROM. I'm running Jelly Beans and it happened to me for 4 apps. I did a Google search and found quite a few people were having this problem. It has to do with the play store. I'm assuming you are trying to download over wifi. A few people were able to correct the problem by clearing the cache for the play store. For me, it took turning off wifi and updating the apps over 4G.

I had this issue with my N7 for 2 days straight this week and no matter what "fix" I tried nothing took care of it. Even a data/system wipe and reinstalling my ROM fresh did not help. Eventually the apps finally updated, I think it's a problem with Google and not device or Playstore related.
I've been having issues with this too. Chrome and Google+ absolutely refuse to update, no matter what I do. Keeps saying "package invalid" every time I download the updates.
Try in this order:
1. Turn off wifi
2. Clear data and cache for Play Store
3. Open Play Store and try updating, making sure data is on and wifi is off.
This worked for me updating Instagram. I was getting the same error on my Droid X2 yesterday.

This problem started about two weeks ago. YouTube randomly popped up the default (useless) message stating that YouTube had crashed. It repeated the message over and over; I had to remove the app just to be able to use the phone. I fixed the problem by clearing the Dalvik cache and normal cache from TWRP, then reinstalling YouTube from the Play Store. That worked for a few days, then the problem started again. This is annoying but I was at least able to fix it.
Today, however, the problem started again and this time clearing the caches didn't work. I don't know what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated to be able to use the app again.

Try to clear app data and cache for Google Play Store, Google Play Services, framework and YouTube. Reboot and try again. Uninstalling updates of YouTube or removing your Gmail account could help too.

I've now tried all of these steps--cleared data/cache for Store, Services, framework, Youtube, uninstalled/reinstalled YouTube, still didn't work. Removed Gmail account, rebooted, re-added Gmail account, still nothing.
I don't know if this is related, but as of several days ago (after this original problem started) my Google account no longer auto-syncs anything. I have to manually sync everything from the Accounts section of Settings. I use the Gmail app; very frustrating to not get updates.
If the problem persists whenever 5.1.1 gets pushed out I'm planning to do a 100% clean reset of the phone, but I'd like to avoid that if possible.
