I assume you mean the ICS leak because the official one isn't out still.
In the case of ICS, the new radio UCLD or whatever is known to solve this problems for people on occasion so give that a shot.

the new radio UCLD?
Can i have directions for this i dont know what is this :s
My apologies
Go in the development section and do a search for radios and you will see what I'm talking about and how to install and how it works.
Sorry if I won't tell you straight up but its only because the people who released it and the topics that have it contain much more information that I can possibly write up.

I am new to rooting. After using my phone simply rooted i decided to flash a Rom. I am using Synergy but since i flashed it i am no longer able to recieve MMS messages. when i look at the message settings i am missing information. Please Help. I am missing some goooood Stufff.
You will probably have better luck posting in your phones forum (Q&A section), or even better in the thread specific to the ROM you are having issues with.
Unfortunately he can't until he has 10 posts. It's a nice catch 22. Im digging through search in hope of finding answers.
I don't think MMS over wifi works on that rom. Try over 3g?
Yea i tried posting it wont let me yet. I just don't know what else to do besides really flashing stock rom and trying again

i believe mms is borked on that rom. was for me.
I've got a question. If I wanted to switch to Synergy's new RC do I need to install any custom kernel or is it included with the install of the ROM as well?
i flashed that same ROM with no issue. you may try to reflash it and be sure to wipe everything clean. something may have just gone wrong in the process
There are currently no gingersense kernels. No source I believe

Has anyone put together a list of what roms need what radio to go with it? I know a lot of people list what's needed but some don't. Is there a rule of thumb that falls into play?
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
There's one floating around with all the radios. A general rule of thumb is gingerbread roms use the MR2 radio and newer. Hope that helps.

Can't go wrong with MR2. It was the 2nd radio released and has worked with everything out there.
Backup
Thanks for the reply.
One other thing on my mind is. Currently I'm still running the stock radio. If I create a backup using rom manager before putting the new radio on. Will the restore bring back the old radio as well? Or would that have to be done manually? I'm not sure exactly what gets backed up.

Someone already answered you No in another thread. But I will answer here also in case of some Guests who are viewing looking for an answer.
You have to flash it each time you want to change the radio. It is a separate file must be flashed when you want a change. ROM Manager will not restore radios.
Hello all!
First off, I need to thank jnichols959 for posting this solution. If you benefit from this, you should thank him too.

I fixed the youtube link issue by rooting, using titanium backup to backup then remove HtcLinkifyDispatcher. After this I had trouble with links in the stock HTC browser so switched to Chrome and it handled app associations in the normal android way, allowing me to view youtube links in the app and do other things that were broken (like custom links like seesmic://... to authorize the Seesmic app on Twitter).

So, if that's enough for you, there you go.
However, I like using the stock Browser. So my proposed fix is to pull the Browser app from a Rogers ROM (where youtube links open the app as expected.) However, I'm using CleanROM, which is deodexed, and my Rogers ROM is obviously odexed. So, until I can figure out how to deodex that, I'm stuck. If I make any progress, I'll update this thread. And if anyone has any input, let's have it!
Or maybe we'll get an updated Rogers RUU to base ROMs off of, since this isn't an issue on Rogers, along with a couple other small things.
I just want to reiterate, do NOT thank me for anything. If you want to thank someone, head here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26605595#post26605595 and thank jnichols959
CREDIT
All credit here goes to mohan_kr and his anonymous source, without them, this couldn't exist.
INFO
This is a debloated, deodexed version of the UCLL3 leak, which is fully functional, so far as I have been able to tell.
This is NOT rooted by default, you must flash superuser to obtain root, mentioned later in this post.
I have left in all applications that I believed are accessed through settings options, even the ones for motion tutorials. This is NOT bare bones. Almost every Samsung app is still here, besides Media Hub because I always thought it was useless. I may remove the Samsung backup apps at a later date, I have not seen what they do yet.
Anyone looking to use this as a base for a ROM, feel free to do so, just follow what mohan_kr wanted and give credit to his anonymous source. I haven't done anything difficult, so no need to mention me at all.
What I have removed:
google+
swype
youtube
kindle
google books
city ID
family map
featured apps
mog
liveTV
google magazines
media hub
need for speed shift
ocean wather
quickoffice
sns.apk
smartwifi
telnav
google videos
WISP
weather wall
yellow pages
att code scanner
att digital locker

DISCLAIMER
I am not responsible for anything that happens to you or your device(s) from using this ROM. Hard brick, soft brick, dead cat, loss of limb, amnesia - all your problems, not mine.
INSTRUCTIONS
Note that your /data partition (not your internal SD card, that is safe) WILL be wiped by the ROM's updater script.
Download ROM and whatever else you wish to flash (e.g. root, insecure kernel, radio)
BACK UP YOUR STUFF. nandroid, titanium, whatever you use, just make a backup.
Wipe system/data if you're coming from an AOSP based ROM (anything not TouchWiz). This may not be needed, but I have not tried it myself.
Flash ROM through recovery. I'm using sk8's latest CWM touch recovery, it should work with that
Flash any other additions you want (root, mohan's insecure kernel, the UCLL3 radio)
Wait for the device to boot. There wasn't any initial setup for me, just go add your google account through settings yourself.

i had that issue before too. i think that is an issue with the leak, not with this ROM, as i didnt remove anything related to the camera at all. once the thing i wanted to take a picture of was gone though, the camera decided to work. i think its just hit or miss, keep trying to reopen it.
updated main post with newer, less bloated version done by android88.
removes more apps, most widgets, and the news lockscreen, possibly more.
I'd like to install a different battery icon (one that indicated percent left) but I'm not sure what is compatible with this rom. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You have to decompile the systemui and edit the correct XML in order to get the battery icons to represent the way you want 1-100% battery icon you best bet is to go to embryo 6.2 or learn some theming

You could use the zips from the Embryo general thread, they're both UCLL3.

you're right systemUI crashes as soon as the phone boots up. It's ok I did a backup right before flashing so it's all good. I'll keep searching until I find something that works.

You're welcome to just pull the icons I made from my zip and use them. Just replace the ones you don't want with mine or whatever you choose.

what everyone else here has said hopefully has been of help, but if you just want the information of the battery level and dont care about it being the actual icon, there is an option in settings to show battery level in text form next to the icon.
im assuming you dont want that, but just letting you know on the off chance that you didnt know the option was there.

i cant confirm it for a fact, as i dont have any exchange account to test it with, but i know for a fact in the version i did, i did not remove exchange, nor the forced security that goes along with it. if exchange is working on samsungs end, it should be working on this.
is it possible to run the stock Touch Wiz apps that came in the Stock GB ROM on one of the custom ICS roms like RemICS for example? the stock apps i want to run include stock Facebook with the apps that help it sync contacts and stock camera, and the swype keyboard...any help is appreciated even if its a simple no it can't be done

It's becoz of the contact storage code doesn't support that since ICS and on at AOSP. If u want to know why, search fo google, facebook, can't sync ICS bla bla bla coz there was a reason Google did that. Or if u want it back, DIY at hacking the source code coz tbh, idc at all. Somtimes, search b4 asking can inform u more than just spending energy barraging w the questions tho .
Oh n ye, it can't be done.
