itz a stock rom and very tough to port if it was CM rom i would have done it!!!

I absolutely agree.
That is one really good looking ROM. Plus it's gonna be extremely stable as it is built on top of Gingerbread and not JB.
The taste of latest touchwiz on 2.3.6 woah!!! That is one nice cookie! :silly:

There is enough rom for pico... And most roms are stable and customizable... So why this?

Today I hereby announce the initiation of The Flamingo OS project.
Anybody who wants to join this project can join. Following are the qualifications:
*Should have little knowledge of source building.
*Should be knowing about custom roms.
*Should have knowledge of linux commands(This is optional).
Purely CyanogenMod based rom.
Flamingo OS will be actually initiated in May.
Anybody who wants to join must qualify the above. Anyone who has good knowledge of developing websites and has money can also apply.

can also make it for a110 as we need upgradation to flash kitkat based roms..
also the recovery should have selinux..

We can make it ourselves, with selinux, but it requires work. Are you going to help @WalkerBales. Also we can flash it through bond bro's CTR recovery or by varunchitre15's twrp 2.5.0.0.

whats up guys..so now we have the car kernel thanks to Varun..appreciate ur work btw..I think devs can now start working on the Miui Roms..and why don't make it official we know that some developer are working with omni ROM secs so I hope somebody will be the xl maintainer in Miui..our device is worthy of having all good Roms..

I have tried to port the MIUI V6 from Nexus 5 rom but without success till this moment. It just get stuck on the boot screen. Will try to solve the issue and will share the update if I achieve any?

You can not expect STABLE MIUI unless we have a full stable AOSP/CM
Once we have one stable ROM from any of above, I think we can have other ROMS as well. Also, the CAF kernel needs to be fully stable.
Once both of them are fixed, I am sure we will see some new roms at Xperia L forum

I am trying to do that as it would be lot easier. But I don't see any other devices in which miui V6 is ported. Please share me the device name and link if you find any.

I prefer porting MIUI but will try to port Lewa OS in the mean time. Thanx for the link.

Don't forget to replace our 4.1 kernel's BOOTCLASSPATH with LewaOS's bootclasspath (if available) to make it bootable :good:
What's up guys..is there any news about anyone working on miui..we now have official cm and omni..it's all good but i think miui is the most unique one it seems like a different os..hope that there is someone workin on it

Miui source code has been released on GitHub back in December, so it's definitely possible to port it. It's also KitKat based.

i'm too trying to build it from redmi 1s rom after completion i'm having build and update script and build prop of armani(redmi 1s ) i don't know why its building armani instead of taoshan .i have built the rom using android kitchen followed every step carefully .
i have selected taoshan zip first then redmi's rom which i was trying to port finally i'm finishing with armani build .
So Miui V5 released kitkat version of it's rom. I think there is nothing much left for us to not to try porting it. I'll give it a shot tomorrow =)

it is possible to use tw as base but i dont know if it will boot without modifying the kernel
I tried porting this all night. I followed MIUIs porting instructions by the letter but I do not get further than the bootlogo. Sadly I have no idea how to get a meaningful error message out of this. Any suggestions? (Or anyone wanting to team up on this?)

I'm going to try the instructions I just saw that they release kitkat version of miui for mi3 and I'll try it like I did on my old One X, try to port it on the samsung rom
Yes. When you try following their instructions you will get their bootlogo animation but then the device will be stuck there. As far as I understand it is not possible to get a logcat at this stage so I am out of ideas how to meaningfully debug this?

You must see what is the MI3 processor if it is Exynos or not
