Ok so I have decided to make daily versions of peoples favorite roms customized the way they want. I have been doing a couple of testing making roms for my myTouch and im liking the progress I'm making. So if you want me to make you a rom please provide me your email.
I will upload my test builds later so you can try them out. My roms have LauncherPro instead of ADW Launcher built into it. It makes the phone more usable and quick to respond when idle. I have edited the build.prop setting also to make the 3G connection to max out as best as it can. I will accept any changes just give me 24 hours to complete your rom.

If this idea works out good I might start charging five dollars to make a rom as long as I can keep up with demand.
I take no credit for the hard work of Cyanogen and everybody that works so hard to make you phone awesome. I am not repsonsible for any damage done to your device or accesories!! Deving requires sacrifices
Sorry, but this is not allowed on XDA grounds. What you are saying in here, equates to a business (compensation for goods or service). I am closing this thread for now.

Don't wanna ruin the party...but as Root Explorer is a paid app, are you sure you can include that?
If you've asked permission, or whatever, just ignore me Just don't want you to get in trouble

actually, thats a valid point i overlooked...MUST FIX
IN NEED
I need someone who is exceptional at creating custom boot images that would like to get there hands dirty! im looking for something dark, yet sexy. A true visual climax of how great the sensation is and can be. surprise me!
Yet again. As there's no Rom here, the thread doesn't belong here.
Please do not post threads before the Rom is ready. It is,super annoying.
Edit: no mod around? We now have 3 threads about a Rom that isn't there.
Yea, have to close this for now as you don't have a ROM ready yet. Feel free to PM me or another mod when you have a ROM ready for download, and we can open your thread.
We generally don't allow coming soon threads as they end up going downhill fast lol.
I love Android. I love the ability to mod the phone and do many things the carriers and manufacturers don't like us to do. I have a crazy amount of experience in all things modding, from rooting, custom roms/kernels, audio mods, theming, customized apps, Xposed, etc. I've modded every phone I have had to the max. Because of that, I also have a pretty good amount of troubleshooting practice between all the stuff I do for myself and friends, as well as for my customers at my repair shop. I've spent 1000s of hours in the past 4 years reading, researching, testing, modding, fixing various phones and tablets. I've rooted over 100 different kinds of devices, including, but not limited to devices from:
Samsung
HTC
Sony
LG
Motorola
Huawei
Pantech
ZTE
Asus
Acer
Dell
HP
Kindle
Nook
Random no-name Chinese things
etc
etc
Why do you care? Because I want to help you enjoy your phone like I do. I know many people would love to take the plunge and root their phones, but are scared because of the potential to break things, and the technical terms that just don't make sense without hours of reading. So, I am offering personalized help, no strings attached, to get your phone performing and behaving like you would like. Use my experience to your advantage, and in return, I get to give back to the community a bit, as well as getting the chance to learn even more. No matter how many times you go through rooting and customizing something, you always learn a little something or pick up on a new mod/tweak/setting that you didn't know about before, as well as maybe make another friend or 3.
With that out of the way, if you would like to take me up on my offer, please hit me up on Hangouts or a message with how you would like to chat. I would like to keep it as much 1 on 1 as possible, so I can give the help needed without getting distracted by a thread going everywhere. There are plenty of threads for generic root / modding help, and I prefer IM type chatting for things of this nature.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Very cool of you.

I've been doing tech support for a few years now between working the Internet and Phone support lines for Comcast and I run a little cell repair shop where I help people a lot as well. Have to have a ton of patience to walk people through how to get online when they don't even know if they have a router or where it would be (or even if they are connected wirelessly or not - I wish I were kidding). It's also good to keep in touch with new and/or inexperienced users because it's easy to get comfortable in your knowledge and assume everyone knows the "easy" stuff. I've also been kicking around the idea of teaching a Community Education class for Android 101 in my area (Denver).

Yeah I'm in IT support too, but I'm losing patience. I need to get into implementation.
My company is a supplier to Comcast

I can understand that.
I'm bored and at home today, so I have time to help. Bring it!
I'll start off.....
Let's say I want to stay stock'ish..... Plain old 4.4.2 with the bare minimum of google stuff added in...
Can I flash system.img, but delete everything in system/apps, and system/priv-apps before first boot?
I would flash system.img, then banks gapps, core. Would that provide a "stripped down" stock rom? No bloat? Then just add in necessary apps from the play store....
Thanks for everyone doing this..... hopefully it will be a great Q&A thread....

There already is an ask anything thread. I don't think that's the intent of this one. And, no you can't do what you're thinking. How are you going to delete the apps out of the system.img before you boot?
At that point, it's easier to just root the stock rom and remove what you want with a root uninstaller or file manager with root access. Add in the Xposed Framework if you need any little extra tweaks without messing up anything that can't be resolved from removing the tweak and rebooting. Or there's a multitude of minimalist roms in the Development forum.
I understand that there a lot of ROMs to choose from.... I just wanted to make my own.....
The apps can deleted in recovery.... after the boot loader flashes system.img, boot straight to recovery, and delete away...
I wasn't knowledgeable enough to determine if the first boot of the ROM would install anything extra that would not delete after the boot. (Similar to windows registry)
Thanks for the quick answer..... much appreciated.

The things that would get installed that you can't uninstall after it is booted are things you should not be able to do so at risk of messing with the phone's functionality, or worse. There aren't going to be any benefits of removing apps in recovery vs doing it while it is booted. If you really wanna go that route, just download a stock prerooted rom and use 7zip to remove whatever apps and files from the zip that you want before you put it on the phone to flash.
Thank you very much.... I'll go that route....
Hi, I started researching and messing with custom ROM/Kernel development 3 weeks ago. I've successfully compiled the kernel for my s5 neo Exynos 7580/MALI 200 (no hardware acceleration yet but I'm a kernel developer and reverse engineer so I can get that working given enough time, and have chosen all the apps I want to include in my first ROM. I made the ROM into and Odin flashable image and bricked my phone because I didn't adjust for the differences between the s7 and the s5 neo's power requirements. I bought 3 more S5 Neo's though, fixed the kernel, and all 3 devices have been 100% stable for 3 days with some minimal usage to test all the features. I am a kernel/driver developer, and as of now have taken over a dozen kernel MOD's from other people's kernels, and applied them to mine. There are more mods I could extract and apply, but I don't care to add them because I don't think they suit the goals of my ROM.
I would like to know things that aren't documented or easy to find that I will have to work with as I progress in the complexity of ROM development. So most of my ROM right now is apps I extracted from other ROMs and the play store and f-droid. But I am a coder and am working on my own settings app is suited for my ROM, including providing all the functionality of the root requiring apps I have installed now, also, I have about $80 of premium paid apps in my current setup, and want to put all the things they do into my custom settings app. I eventually plan on turning this into an android fork but for now, I'm starting out with baby steps to learn at a pace I can handle without overloading myself.
Please, any ROM/Kernel/App developers provide me any things you have learned from experience that I can't find on google and will be useful to know for my project.
Also, I have 2 questions. A) is UBER GCC better than Samsung eabi GNU compiler collection compilers?
B) Is deodexing really so good? because I've looked at the pros and cons and I don't think deodexing is worth the tradeoffs, but I feel like there's a reason almost every custom ROM does it. I know the tools to deodex ROM's don't work on Samsung android or other not AOSP based ROMS, but I already wrote a python script that deodex's my phone perfectly, I tried it, but I wasn't happy with the differences in response time and boot time and I believe it was causing a lot more memory to be used although I'm not sure why. Is deodexing better than I think it is, or is it just the cool thing to do for people who don't know how it really works?
Links, tips, polite criticisms, are all welcome. Also, this is my first post and I'm pretty sure these forums are the only place I can find people with the skill level to do these things well or at all.
I see some very knowledgeable people post here so I hope they find my post and reply with some tips. I tried the Freenode android channels and they are all plebs. They actually made fun of me for claiming I could make a custom ROM for this phone, they said it's impossible, and in 3 hours I had a screenshot of my about device showing my own compiled kernel running on my phone, no mods, just proof this been stuff is doable. Then I told them off about pretending to be experts but really knowing nothing and calling me a fool because they are too ignorant, then I left all 3 Freenode android channels and came here. In the channel for android ROM's and rooting, 99% of them were people who needed help rooting their phone or installing a custom ROM, not people I can learn from and grow to become a member of their community like I hope to do here.
if you didn't stop reading by now because of tl;dr, thanks for taking the time to read my post and please respond if you have helpful info. I've already read all the stuff I can find from google and these forums, I'm looking for the tips that aren't documented or that I may have written off as not important.

[email protected] email me and ill send the link . It comes pre-installed with gapps and any thing else you may want, Fast charge in under 1 hour, full theme and customization, full ambient wave doze, there was never a rom made for our device so i had ported it and made it,Known bugs-NFC don't work, and block notifications crash, working on these 2, other than that all is very good, you get about 4-5 hrs onscreen sot time its pretty good to be honest.Yes i also know that marshmallow is no longer in high demand but it still is in commission, however there are many people who own our beloved bacon and at one point wanted this rom, i posted here because of xda newbie rule, well hopefully they change that cause if you load my port, you'll see newbies can partake with actual developers as well. Im "NOT A DEV" i love android, learning and Bacon, lol, have fun with the Rom Thank you.
Cyanide-MM-Completed-(073120)RLC.zip is on AndroidFileHost.
you know, lol, i didnt even check, lol but it is thank you much.
