Bricked :( - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

Not sure what happened. I have played around with recoveries and ROMs on my Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus (WiFi only) (GT-P6210MAYXAR), but I thought I was at factory.
I woke this morning to find myself stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus" screen.
When I reboot holding the VOLUME DOWN key, I get stuck on "Warning!! A customer IS can cause critical problems in tablet and installed applications. If you want to download a custom OK, press the volume up key. Otherwise press the volume down key to cancel."
Volume Up key gets me trapped in a screen endlessly that says
"ODIN Mode.
Product Name: GT-P6210.
Custom Binary Download: No.
Current Binary: Samsung Official."
"Downloading... Do not turn off target!!!"
Booting with Volume Up held gets me to a screen that says "Manual Mode... Updating Application" but then just reboots stuck again in "Samsung Galaxy 7.0 Plus" screen.
Can anybody help??

Try factory reset from manual mode. You will lose any saved data apps.

Thanks for trying to help, chrisrotolo
"Manual Mode" just sits there a moment saying "Updating Application", with no options, then reboots.
Other ideas? I'm open.

flash with Odin

yeah best bet is ODIN to stock. if it still hangs it usually needs a factory reset.

Same issue
I was running the HD ROm for the 6210 Tab and I woke up this morning screen showing "Samsung Galaxy Tab 7,0 plus" logo and will no go further. I tried going back to stock and still no go. Is there a way to unroot via odin. I think that is the problem.
---------- Post added at 06:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:28 PM ----------
when I say I tried going back that was via odin using the stock image. It freezes with that bugdroid with red exclamation point witch I think means you can't do this because it's rooted. Please help.

problem between chair and keyboard. I was flashing the wrong rom, it's back up now.
Thanks,

hey Knox, I think I have the exact same problem. did you have any luck solving it? i did try to ODIN the EUKA firmware (vs the newer one linked in this thread) and it seemed to flash ok, but it still hangs at the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus" and if i use power and volume + to go into recovery it starts to load and reboots.

Ok. not sure what I did, but I used ODIN to load the firmware linked in this thread (the hotfile link) and it worked, my tab booted up. I was on my way out the door to work, so I haven't had a chance to mess with it yet, but it appears to be fixed.... phew!!!

Just happened to me. Same symptoms of OP. Tried to flash the stock that I got from checkfus, nothing changed.
I will try with the one linked to this thread.
Very strange, I was using the tab, the screen went off, tried to turn it on and nothing. Long press for reboot, and got stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus" screen.
Edit: By the way, if your tab is in this situation and you can't turn it off while downloading the firmwares: plug it to pc (or charger), press power button. The charge animation will appear, just plug the tab off.
Edit2: What I have tried so far:
* Flashed the stock brazilian rom I got with checkfus;
* Flashed The stock rom someone posted on this thread (hotfile) link;
* Flashed the stock US rom from post 82 of official stock rom from devs section;
* Let battery die an try to flash again (yeah, I known, silly right?)
Just like the OP, when I try to enter manual mode(recovery), it says something about installing some apks and reboots.
If I try to enter the download mode, it enters and I can flash the rom, but after processes end the tab reboots. There are some messages and then the last message is again something about installing some apks and again it reboots.
For what I saw those are symptoms of corrupted data partition or partition table of the internal memory. Seems like there are some threads about this exact error on 7.7 forum.

not sure if it would matter, but i can tell you when i used odin to flash the hotfile linked file in this thread, i left it plugged into the computer after it flashed while it was booting and that is when it booted up finally (the first time i flashed using odin i unplugged it as soon as it tried rebooting)... hope that helps.

Thanks buddy, got it back after letting its battery drain and full charging. It took a while but then the animated samsung logo appears. I don't really think it did the trick, but as it was the last thing i did...

Hi Sir,
If you still have the problem, I have a theory: Your Power Button are always pressed because of a problem on it. This could hapen after some time of use. I thought in this theory because you said that you enter in the "updating aplication" just pressing the vol button and in normal conditions its needed to press power and vol key same time to enter in this screen.
Try to shake the power button a litle bit to see if it release the contacts. If it didnĀ“t work you should needsend it to repair.
Hope I help in some way.

lost...
I have this same problem currently to the "T" I have also had this happen to me before, and flashed stock from Odin with no issues! Yearlater and here we go again but this time like previous posters it doesnt seem to work.
Question;
Last time I remember putting files in PIT, PDA, and CVC? This time only the TAR file in PHONE. When I try it in PDA the process fails. But anyway. Am I missing some files or?
Also I was able to flash CM Recovery and can boot into it now and have tried doing a factory reset that way to no avail. Anything else I could do through CM Recovery? Maybe put a custom ROM on my micro SD?

[Q] tab 2 7.0 P3110 stuck at Samsung Tab 2 7.0 screen unable to boot to recovery

Please can you help I bought this samsung tab 2 7.0 P3110 with it only powering on to the samsung tab 2 7.0 logo screen.
I am unable to get to recovery screen using the power and the vol up button all this does is power it off even if I hold for over one minute.
I can get to the download screen (power and vol down doing so is easy as it works) I have been able to use odin (failed many times) and download firmwares.
Last night I was able to download and gain a pass in Odin for CF-Auto-Root-espressowifi-espressowifixx-gtp3110 this I ran fist then 4.1.1 P3110XXCLK7_P3110OXACLK7_BTU. the problem after that is when odin tells it to reboot it hangs at the logo screen everytime. I have tried without the reboot and reboot manually it staill hangs.
is it a bootloader problem? corrupted partition? I think it needs the whole boot process reinstalled or rewritten if someone knows how
I am not looking for a custom rom All i want it to do is to power on into the stock recovery and to power on into the sofware by using something that works either by reformat or re partition the tab to get that part of the tab working before looking at firmware. sometime I have seen write fail when in odin.
simple instructions for how to get it back is all I am looking for.
I have browsed your site and watched youtube for hours no light at the end of the tunnel
thanks in advance for your help

I am not too sure about the partition/repartition thing, but I think you should use said Odin to flash CWM 6.0.45. It doesn't mean you have to install a ROM, but try attempting a factory reset (at this point, not being able to boot up, you might need to use Cwm to create some sort of backup).
However, I suggest waiting until you receive more than one reply, as I may be wrong
For going into recovery, try holding the buttons at the same time. When you see the first samsung bootscreen, release the power button and continue to hold the other button.

Thanks for your reply I probably didnt explain myself. I have always been holding down the power and the vol up button at the same time.
I have access to another tab 2 7.0 P3110 that is working in stock mode (a trusted friend allowed me to check how to get to the download and recovery screens ) I have noted the time it takes to boot into recovery from power off and from the samsung tab 2 7.0 screen and also going into recovery from the download screen. mine dont do any it just goes to the download screen or power off. the screen is black no life lol.
just a thought I dont think it actually powers off although the screen is black because I left it for over 10 hours I felt the back and it was warm battery was low as I couldnt power it on it was fully charged when I tried to get into recovery 10 hours earlier.
will try to explain one step at a time
because of the problem I am thinking I have to start from scratch instead of jumping into the middle of what is already possibly corrupt files. (I have probably built a house out of my bricked Tab)
1. what do I have to do to get a totally clean 8gb space for recovery and firmware to go onto?
2. what has to be installed via Odin to get to recovery (can recovery be tested on its own before the firmware is installed)
3. I have tried a PIT file before all I had was 0 completed and 0 failed???? is that good or bad? didnt see a PASS at the top left. did I have the correct PIT file?
4. are PIT files dependant on which version of Odin I run or recovery or firmware? if they are can someone point my in the right direction for everything that is compatible with each other
I read on this forum of splitting the MD5 files into bootloader pit by extracting it twice I tried that in winRAR I only had one chance it left a tar.md5 file which is the file I used to upload in Odin.
Thanks again for everyones help

I have tried the above it passes and reboots to samsung tab 2 7.0 and thats as far as it goes. I waited 15 minutes no change tried the usual to get into recovery not happening. went back to download screen and ran gtab2P311x8g.pit below is a snippet of the important bits from Odin output screen bottom left I had auto reboot, repartition and f reset time all selected
set pit file
get pit for mapping
theres no pit for mapping
all threads completed succeed 0 failed 1
I have also ran philz touch 6.008 universal root also pass with reboot and without reboot
all tar md5 files installs and with a pass reboots but no blue bar on the bottom of download screen and no access to recovery screen.
I think the internal 8gb memory needs to be wiped and partitioned.
maybe someone can tell me how to extract all the files that are needed to get the os onto the tab from the tar md5 file like the partition, recovery and bootloader etc and the order of installing in Odin

Am now running with Odin 3.07 and CF Auto Root espressowifi....md5
it all run through with pass at the end. It doesnt show the blue line running across the bottom of the download screen on the tab. I have never seen this in all the 20 + times I have tried with Odin. All the you tube vids show this as part of the installation process. If I have auto reboot on the tab reboots when Odin send the request to the tab to reset.

ADB devices does not attach itself to the tab. ADB just says its waiting for device when in download mode and fastboot returns nothing. I think its because I am unable to run USB debugging due to no firmware.
Is there a way to get into the tab if theres no os?
I have taken the back off thinking the volume or power key might be faulty, there not. Pressing the power button and the up vol does nothing apart from putting the tab in a reboot loop or power off. I can get into download mode no prob. I have tried pressing the up and down vol keys with the power button to try to put the tab into shock no change.
I was searching the forum for a similar problem as mine.
And you have the exact same problem as I do.
At some point when I used Odin 3.07 and flashing an official firmware from samsung I got past the first boot screen.
But right after that it shows an android robot with a dedacahedron in front of it showing an animation and a loading bar.
Soon I discovered the next loop, since this animation would loop over and over again.
Now I waited for the battery to run out and charge it up till its full.
By the way:
When the tablet is off and I plug it in with the original cable and charger the tablet shows the battery icon, but it doesnt show the charging animation. The battery icon shows a "waiting" circle. So I cant really see if its charging or not.
Have you had any progress?
Would be so awesome to fix this, this galaxy tab is not mine. Its my brothers and I broke it by trying to root it and install cwm xD

You can find it here:

In the first post there are attached files.
The right one is in that list.
Then I tried flashing it with Odin3 Version 3.09
I googled for a newer version of Odin and found this version 3.09
First time rebooting didnt work.
But the seccond time I succesfully got into CWM recovery.
Hope this works for you 2!
Cheers.

[Q] Relay Boot Loop

Chrizuki said:
My Relay wont boot into recovery mode. Whenever I hold the Volume-Up + Home + Power, it turns on then it says on the top left corner a small blue colored message saying "RECOVERY BOOTING..." and then it goes to the "Galaxy S Relay from T-Mobile" screen and then black screen. Nothing happens, it doesnt boot into recovery but it can turn on and function well with the OTA Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update as well as boot into Download mode. I have rooted it before when It was still ICS 4.0.4 and I guess I didnt unroot it correctly.
A couple of days ago, I heard about the Jelly Bean update, which I wanted, so I used Kies to update. I connected my phone while in Download mode and Kies did its thing and my phone was unrooted when it booted up and had Jelly Bean. It worked perfectly, but it couldnt boot into recovery mode. I dont think it's a huge problem to not boot into recovery, but to me, I feel safer having it.
Is there a way to fix this using just Samsung Kies? Is there a way to flash that recovery or something using Odin? If so, where can I find it and how do I do it?
Thanks in advance!

My phone is currently NOT rooted. I attempted to root it when I first got it and almost bricked it so when I got it back to working I just left it. I've had my phone over a year and have recently over the past few months had issues with the charging port and batteries even holding a charge. Bought extended life slim batteries and a charger due to that issue. Then just yesterday I was using facebook on my phone and it randomly rebooted and wouldn't stop boot looping. Only way I've stopped it thus far is to take out the battery.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds as though your recovery image might be corrupted. I'd utilize ODIN or heimdall to reflash recovery using download mode and see if that fixes your issue. If you were rooted, and feeling adventurous, you could even do so from within the OS. One more question though: Are you releasing the buttons when you see the samsung boot logo with 'RECOVERY BOOTING....' in the corner? If you do not, then the phone will simply reboot again into the OS. Always let the buttons go once the recovery boot process begins.

Heimdal is an open source program that implements the ODIN functions. I usually use it as a command line tool, but it does have GUI front ends.

Magamo, I've downloaded Odin 3. 10..6. Not exactly sure what to do now cos I just tried to put my phone into download mode and it boot loops again! So if I can't go into recovery mode or download mode, what can I do? My phone is not rooted and I don't want to root it. Ideally I want to be able to at least copy some of my text messages before rooting it but how can i do anything if I can't get it to go into recovery mode, download mode, or even turn on without boot looping?!
I dont even know what made it randomly one day decide to shut itself off and boot loop.
Any ideas you (or anyone else has) would be very much appreciated!

Sorry i guess i cant help u on this one. But good luck m8!

[Q] no battery pull precludes recovery

I tried to use chainroot, and got stuck on the logo screen. normally you'd battery pull, go to recovery and wipe data. but i can't find any way to shut down the phone, before doing power-upVol-home.
And now i've tried to odin a stock recovery to undo chainroot, odin fails. could re-run odin with auto-reboot off, but again, no way to shut off and go to recovery.
at this point i'm stuck with the blue screen asking me to use smart switch on PC to do emergency recovery. but smartswitch says the device is not recognized.
thoughts? thanks!
I was stuck rooting on the boot logo too. Had to use odin 3.10 and did "run as administrator". Also if this helps to reboot the stuck phone press vol down+power together until the screen blanks out. If you need to get into download mode, as soon as the screen blanks out, press and hold the Home button ( Don't let go of the vol down and power though ).
Good grief.... the non-removable battery has made these recovery tricks so difficult
thanks twisted_mind. at this point, i only get the blue screen asking me to do smartswitch recovery, and the one thing i CAN seem to do is volDown-power-home and it easily goes to download mode. i have not been able to get to recovery mode no matter what i do (including volUp-power-home, even before this smartswitch message came up after i tried to odin a stock recovery).
so i can still go to dload mode, and stick in a stock rom. the ones i've tried are from sammobile, and a potential issue is that i don't know the exact one to pick (this phone is a demo here in europe and i didn't note the details under settings when it was working). so the ones i try end in an odin FAIL. again, i've also tried odin unchecking auto-reboot, but then the phone is stuck at the very end of dload ("don't turn off target", etc), and i have no way to battery pull, etc.
Instead of holding power to shut off you have to hold power and vol down

I tried to use chainroot, and got stuck on the logo screen. normally you'd battery pull, go to recovery and wipe data. but i can't find any way to shut down the phone, before doing power-upVol-home.
And now i've tried to odin a stock recovery to undo chainroot, odin fails. could re-run odin with auto-reboot off, but again, no way to shut off and go to recovery.
at this point i'm stuck with the blue screen asking me to use smart switch on PC to do emergency recovery. but smartswitch says the device is not recognized.
thoughts? thanks!

Hello
I'm stucked on the same corner, i used Chainroot with odin 3.10.6 with no luck, just as what
happened with you, my S6 international module stucked on logo screen.
where did you get S6 stock recovery from?
Thanks

I have the turquoise screen that says "an error has occurred... use the emergency recovery function in smart switch...". if i do power + volDown there OR when the phone is stuck in download mode after the odin fail, the phone turns off but then comes right back on with the turquoise error screen. i've tried quickly going to the recovery key combo right when or right after the screen goes dark, but to no avail.
I can easily do power +volDown + home and go to dload mode. i just can't get into recovery mode no matter what i've tried so far.
if i could just find a stock rom that wouldn't fail in odin, or something else to use as AP/PDA in odin, i'd be set i think. wish i knew how to do this. hitting nand erase all in odin doesn't do the trick by the way.

I managed to root my G920F after "odin flashing" the UK version from Sammobile, release date 11-4-2015,
Then i flashed back the CF-Auto-Root.
Know my device is booting fine and rooted

is the version you flashed the same version that you had prior (do the apps look the same, etc)?
so odin passed? (mine FAILs, with 4 different sammobile stock recoveries). I have the S6 Edge, maybe the S6 works fine and I just need the correct S6 Edge firmware.

umm, hey ammsamm, i went to the link you just mentioned, installed it and GOT SOME NASTY SPAMWARE INSTALLED on my machine from it. I'd normally flag you immediately as a bad user, but your other comments sound legit. do you have anything to say about this?

PLEASE HELP ME with galaxy S2 SHW-M250K Boot problem

Please guys, my galaxy S2 SHW-M20K (Korean) is in trouble.
I bought it from a 2nd hand shop , and it was runing Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (rooted stock rom). I had no problem with it till today when I tried to install "CWM Recovery", After searching the web i found a post with two files that supposedly could do the task. These files are:
1. CWM_KT_M250K.tar
2. Tegrak-Kernel-Build-39-for-SHW-M250K-UE18.tar
Using Odin, I triedd the first file but it couldn't work, and the phone could not boot so i downloaded the "rooted factory firmware" and flashed the phone. Everything was ok. Later I tried the second file. Again the phone could not boot and stuck at the logo with a yellow triangle. After waiting for about 5 minutes I tried to shut it down by pressing the power button it did'nt respond. (Now this is a point that I regret), I removed the battery as a way of forcing to turn it off.
Now my phone cannot boot. It doesn't respond to power button, neither does it allow me to enter recovery mode nor download mode. But When i connect to the charger or pc, it start charging and keeps cutting off the charging frequently. But it only allows me to enter download mode when connected to pc. When I tried to flash the "rooted factory firmware", again, the flashing goes smoothly but when the phone starts rebooting it fails as if there is a power cut. Is my battery damaged? Can someone give me a guide on how to fix it?
I need your help gus, I am not an expert in the rootings and roms,
Pardon My English. It's a foreign language to me.

As u mentioned, I think that your phone has gone to a Soft Brick. I don't know much about the Korean build, so Google it to solve the Soft Brick. Try flashing the stock rom via odin but I don't recommend it since it may cause your phone to be hard bricked if not done properly.
So go to the service centre, you'll get more help there

I thank you sir for responding to this. From what you have said, I think the best decision is to take it to Samsung service center. (For I have tried to google it but I couldn't get a solution). I would also like to know if it is repairable, and about the cost, is it worth repairing or should I think of buying a new phone?
I am stranded.

How to fix bootloop (can't boot into recovery or system)?

My Galaxy S7 (SM-G930R4) has decided to not want to boot. I can't boot normally or into recovery. I can only boot into Odin mode.
I've tried to flash stock rom, but it doesn't seem to work. I've heard that I should use the ROM from samsmobile, so I'll try that next.
This all started to happen after I accidentally turned on the phone right before I took the battery out. I put that battery back in and it booted fine, but after a few minutes it rebooted and started to reboot over and over again. It won't even show the charging screen when it is turned off and plugged in.
OK, I tried to flash the stock rom with Odin, but it still is in a boot loop. I've flashed it 3 times. I've firmware files from different sites. It seems that this S7 is dead. Please help!
Try to flash another rom and keep in mind that it sometimes takes up to 10-15 minutes at the first boot.
You could also just flash TWRP...

TWRP for the Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930R4)???
Also, now I've been greeted with the screen that says "An error has occurred while updating the device software." It says to use the Samsung Smart Switch PC software to fix it. Hopefully that works.
Where are you?
What firmware are you using? Branded or unbranded?
Have you looked on Sammobile for the correct firmware?
Are you able to boot into system recovery? Home+VOLUME UP+Power (Not Download)?
Oh you have got the G930R4. I thought G930F.
Then I don't know if there is a TWRP you could flash.
But if there is one you could just flash it and enter recovery mode and install a new ROM from within the TWRP environment.
Check this out.

Sounds like your device is currently bricked anyways, so just give it a try.
Maybe you can get a working TWRP recovery mode again.

I am in the US.
I'm on Android 8.0 (Oreo)
I have a US Cellular Branded phone.
As soon as the phone is turned on, it tries to boot into recovery, but it can't so it keeps on trying over and over again. I've tried the firmware from SamMobile, but nothing seems to work.
When I flash to Stock ROM, and I turn the phone on, it stays in a bootloop of the "Recovery Booting..." screen.
When I flash the rooted Engineering rom, and I turn the phone on, it stays in a bootloop of the Samsung S7 logo. I can't boot into safe mode.
I tried to use Samsung Kies... didn't work... I tried to use Samsung Smart Switch... didn't work... I've tried 3 or 4 different ROMs from different websites.... didn't work.
i have the same problem. was able to enter download mode several times, but at some point it died completely (not charging anymore). how do you manage to take the battery out? does the SM-G930R4 the possibility to easily remove it?

The glass panel on the back is glued onto the phone. If you remove the glass, there are screws and from there, it's easy. I broke the glass in the process... so yay me.
Mine won't charge either. It is completely dead, but it will still turn on when I plug it into my computer.
Really strange. Mine is not turning on, even tried several locations, charger, etc. Once I had download mode while having a black screen. Keep an eye on odin and instantly flash firmware if it got recognized. I press all three buttons while plugging in; that's how it worked the first time for me....
