Pretty sure it won't, I believe that Supports Samsung devices, and only specific ones.

The app actually doesn't work on the galaxy s or s2, also doesn't work on the HTC desire. Most likely doesn't work on the One S though

Works for me.
I've used it on my HTC One S without any problems. Derooted and then logged in to Play Movies easily!

Is there anything special that I need to do to make this work? I tried loading it with a rooted HOS. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. It would be nice to play the HTC Watch movies I have paid for and the same with Google Play movies.
Thanks

Sometimes you need to reboot after de-rooting. I haven't had to with my phone, but some other phones I have had have required it. You can also try killing the app after de-rooting. I haven't had any problems accessing movies this way.

Netflix from lg revolution?

Will the preloaded netflix application on the lg revolution work on the tb? Same processor and drm?

why would you want that. The tbolt already has netflix...unofficial support but still.
Maybe they are hoping for working Netflix for Froyo.

Actually it doesn't. Only if rooted and running certain roms. Unrooted we get drm notifications and that's it. The Revolution has the same processor and built in drm. So I'm hoping it will work.

i dont think so since the netflix app checks the kind of phone your using to access the servers i thought, only gb roms (and now with the radio brick issue its time to wait a little bit more) and a hack/fix will netflix work.

It is also running on the cm7 rom, though the quality didn't seem nearly as good on cm7. It was great on the gb roms. Shame about the loop issue because I was diggin gingerbread and netflix.

I don't think it has the same drm. The hardware drm, sure, but not software. We may be able to extract that though and get it to work.

Hope so!

It's not a DRM issue, it's the stagefright libs. Search the forums because there is more info already here. On my phone or I'd link it for you.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
Yeah, the only way you're going to get it working ever on froyo is if you compile and add in the necessary libraries that are missing (stagefright is the frontend wrapper method of streaming on android since 2.2 and underwent some major revisions since then). Doesn't matter where the Netflix application comes from at all. Unless you want to compile them or wait for someone to or pay someone to, you wont be seeing it until gingerbread is stable if you're rooted or whenever netflix decides to be nice and "officially" release it for those that won't root.
If you don't root, then thats your choice, just please no whining when you made your choice and have to wait it out for netflix to care about you (which for all anyone knows could be months away). Can't have the best of everything if you want to stay with what verizon gave you.
I don't think it would, just a guess though. By the way, do we have a Revolution forum? I don't see one in the list unless it is under a different name. I should be getting one shipped soon. It is ugly as hell IMHO.

Getting videos through the Market

I am not able to view videos from the Market. It doesn't show up at all. I went to the web market and I see the Videos app from Google, but it tells me that it is incompatible with my phone. I go to the movies section of the Market online and it will not allow me to select my phone as an option to download. Has anyone else run into this issue? I'm running on an unrooted, stock Inspire.
Much thanks for any assistance.
It's because you are rooted. I haven't heard a workaround yet.

I have never rooted my phone. I bought it new from AT&T and the replacement was picked up from AT&T. Is it possible they could have given me a rooted phone? How can I find out?

My wife's Inspire is not rooted and the market doesn't have the video tab for her neither. It is because it is not officially supported for the Inspire, although it is said that it works for non rooted Inspires. There is an apk floating around here that will allow you to do a manual install.

Google Video on rooted ICS

Does anyone have a solution for getting Videos to work on a rooted 4G Xoom running ICS. I have tried multiple ROMS and the temp root remover app in the market and I still can not play rented videos. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I encountered this. Sadly no real answer as rooted devices are barred from playing these videos by Google or actually the film industry.
I wrote to customer services and got my money back for the rental.

app refuses to run due to rooted phone

I am using Uniporn ICS and trying to run an app from my cable company (Time Warner in upstate NY) the app has a feature to let me watch live tv on the phone if using ICS but when I try to use that feature it tells me that rooted phones are not supported. Anyone have a clue as to how to get around that issue?

Sorry, was worth a shot :/, I wonder what they have against rooted phones....I mean even the att bloat works on a rooted phone, as well as the samsung bloat...so if the manufacturer and the carrier don't block there apps from rooted phones...then why should a cable company? I would send the devs an email and complain...hell ill download the app and complain myself
What twc app is it?

Hulu plus hack

So if your one of the many people unable to watch Hulu due to a error saying you must be on carriers latest update then I have a solution. Simply use a app to access root then go to data/data/com.Hulu.plus/app_sslcache and delete play.Hulu.com.
Edit: when you start up a video I've noticed it may say unable to load advertisement from our sponsors nothing to worry about just let the timer for the unplayable commercial run down which is Like 20 secs and video should play but if not just change the quality of the video to medium and let buffer then change back to high and your golden

DRM copyright protection he's basically saying his phone told him to f off

I haven't experienced this

I assume my DRM problem is cuz boot loader is unlocked. Idk really know fer sure
Sent from my One X
Yeah. I couldn't watch Hulu till I deleted that file. It's because of the unlocked bootloader.
Sent from my HTC One XL
I deleted and still gave me DRM warning. Should I reboot after ?
Sent from my One X
I didn't reboot. That's strange cause all I did was delete that file and started up Hulu and it worked fine. Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling and trying again
Sent from my HTC One XL
I tried that too. No luck

Does not work. Galaxy Note (AT&T) running 4.2.2 Rom. Jan 2012 hacked APK appears to work...but boy does it look sad/old compared to the most up to date Hulu Plus APK.
