[Q] format_volume: rfs format failed - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/stl10
I tried every combination of re-partition+latona+kpe/kpu.
I can use it, normally but I shutdown, goes to factory state.
Y read several post, about this and with the i9000 users fix the problem, flashing again with latona 512, this will not work for me right?

I just upgraded my phone to 2.3.6 and i got bootloop and then i tried to format but i am getting the same error above

Ohh but why did u selected update.zip.. U hav to navigate to the razodroid rite.. Anyways not booting means.. Bootlooping or not powering on at all..
Just try to go to download mode once if its not wrking tak out the battery leave it for sometime then try again... If its stil not wrkng.. Then therez only one way tak it to the service center
I tried instaling update.zip i.e. Razodroid v4.0 and even partitioned my sdcard with a ext3 partition and then it booted successfully.... Thanks all.....

if your phone is dead (no lights, activity etc) then only consider it as Bricked else you can revive it by flashing firmware via ODIN for stock ROM or CWM for Custom ROMs

So basically, radio version, build number or baseband version have nothing to do with which Stock ROM we use? Are the different stock ROMs only for different languages?
Yes, the way jaggy made them there is no need to search for your radio version, yes difference is in languages.
You should search for your radio version if you wan't to use RUU
where do i find radio version??

But I think that stock ROM will be rooted. To UNroot simply delete superuser in system/app and "su" in both bin and xbin directories using any root explorer. Remember to mount system as writable.
Now I think you'll be on stock UNrooted ROM with "custom recovery".
Don't know how to get rid of custom recovery and get back to stock one?
Let me know if someone know about it.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy SL i9003 not booting. !

Hi
Recently I've rooted my Samsung Galaxy SL i9003 with a Cyanogenmod 11 based ROM (Android firmware 4.4.2).
When I've caught up in a boot loop error, I went to recovery mode and instead of wiping data or a factory reset I've wiped cache !!
(by mistake or lack of awareness).
.
After that my phone is not booting up.. when I'm trying to turn on, it got stuck at the first screen which displays like
'Samsung Galaxy SL GT I9003'.
ROM : Cyanogenmod.
Android Version : 4.4.2
This is the first time I'm doing this kind of stuffs with the phone, So guys please please help me out to get over this..

I flashed the phone with stock rom, i.e GB 2.3.6(I9003DDMF1) for SL i9003 with Odin3 V1.82. After flashing, the phone was trying to reboot, but its stuck some where and showing the animation continuously instead of moving into the language preference option.
I guess it may be a boot loop error and i went to recovery mode and tried to do a factory reset, but while resetting it shows some error..
after that i wiped the cache partition too..
Still the phone is in the same condition as mentioned above
So, should i need to flash stock rom once again, to resolve this issue ?
Thanks in advance
-Arjun
I think you have the same issue like me. Your internal memory is maybe broken.

Actually what happened in my case was, I've lost some boot files due to an improper factory/data reset
and the same issue can only rectified by flashing these files PIT, PDA, Modem, CSC with OdinV1.85.
In some cases flashing with a single file(PDA Only) will not works at all.
Thanks

Your phone is gone flashing the stock room using Odin will not work! Download Samsung Kies and their go to firmware recovery option. NOTE- YOU NEED A INTERNET CONNECTION TO DOWNLOAD EXTRA FILES OF NEARLY 2.5 GBs
---------- Post added at 03:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:15 PM ----------

Well then ,
You need to find rooted J700M to get PARAM.bin file
How to Dump PARAM.bin
Now Download This Tool
Copy PARAM.bin file to tar-Tool Folder and run batch.bat
after that you will find allfiles.tar.md5 inside newly created AllFiles Folder
flash it via ODIN
This Should work. That s how i fixed my j700f after same situation
Is there another way to make my cell phone back to normal ???
It's no problem if you go back to factory standards.
