This is NOT a new ROM! It's only a trimmed down and fixed up version of MildWild V-2.9.5.

F.A.Q.
I. Why would I want to install MildWild v2.9.5 Lite?
- It's smaller so it will fit on the Alpharev Oxygen r2 Hboot meaning that you will get a larger data partition and more space to install your applications. (Alpharev Oxygen r2 partition sizes: 100MB system, 5MB cache, 332MB data; Alpharev CM7 r2 partition sizes: 145MB system, 5MB cache, 287MB data)
- It stores apps and dalvik on sd-ext so you get even more space for your applications. On the downside, the ROM may become a bit slower.
- Alternatively, you can install the version which keeps dalvik on the internal memory.
II. So, how come MildWild v2.9.5 Lite is smaller?
- Some non vital system data and system applications have been removed from the instalation package.
III. Right, so what's missing?
- These applications have been removed:
1. GMmail (Gmail.apk) - you can install it from the Market so it will go to sd-ext instead on the internal memory, hence you get more space;
2. Google Talk (Talk2.apk) - well, you have to make some sacrifices; however, I think you can install it manually from the apk package but I haven't tried myself;
3. Google News & Weather Widget - you can find a whole range of simmilar applications on the Market; or you can probably install it from the apk package but I haven't tried;
4. Stock 3D Gallery (Gallery3D.apk - I recommend QuickPic from the Market instead; it is smaller and does the same job better;
5. Stock Music Application - there is a whole range of media players on the Market; this however will break the ability to play music through the Desk Clock Application; however, you can probably install it manually from the apk package but I haven't tried;
6. Typological Clock (TypoClock.apk) - you can most likely find something simmilar on the Market; or you can probably install it from the apk package but I haven't tried;
7. Timer Widget - you can most likely find something simmilar on the Market; or you can probably install it from the apk package but I haven't tried;
8. File Manager (FileManager.apk) - you can find a whole range of File Manager applications on the Market;
9. Compass (compass.apk) - you can find a whole range of Compass applications on the Market;
- Launcher 2 has been replaced with GO Laucher EX; it's smaller, faster and I think generally better; then again, it's a matter of taste;
- All alarms, notifications and ringtones have been removed from the installation package. Instead, you can download the media package attached (see link further down), unzip it, and place the folder as it is anywhere on the FAT32 partition of your SD card and it will work just the same. The system will automatically detect these files on the SD card.
- All PicoTTS (voice output) data files have been removed from the installation package. Instead, you can either download them from the Market or download the svox package attached (see link further down), unzip it, and place the folder as it is in the root of your FAT32 partition of your SD card and it will work just the same. The system will automatically detect these files on the SD card.
IV. So what's the point if I still want these applications?
- Whatever you install from the Market will go to sd-ext so you will have more space on the internal data partition for additional applications. If you keep the dalvik internal then the application data will stay on the internal memory but you still get some benefit as the apk still goes to the sd-ext.
- On the downside you can't get some of them on the Market and they may not install properly from the apk package so if you want to use exactly these apps then you'd better stick to the fully fledged MildWild ROM.
- However, you can download the apps package attached (see link futher down) and play with the apk files.

Removing a launcher and replacing it with another one doesn't make it a custom ROM. This could all be put into a flashable ZIP which has to be flashed on top of a stock MildWild ROM, so that the update-script removes all the APKs. But another topic just for a modified ZIP only causes a lot of confusion.
what is the point of this ? everyone could make this.

Not a fan PERSONALLY of this "I can unzip, remove a few apps, then re-zip and post as a new rom" attitude, but it's a case of supply and demand I suppose. At least the OP has had permission from MildWild.

it's some deleting/adding stuff to a zip file.. nothing else.
absolutely no need for this in my opinion, 'cause everyone can open a .zip file and delete stuff they don't want, and add stuff they want.
if we continue this road, we have 20 roms based on mildwild, and 20 different threads filled with the same questions over and over and over and over and over again.

whats with the hate? it saves people time of doing it themselves if they dont know what system related stuff they can remove without causing problems
it gives more space and mildwild allowed him to do it.
if you dont want it dont use it, im sure some people would be happy to use it.
as fopr putting it on the same thread? why would he hyjack an ops thread with different work. i doubt people would but it could be seen as trying to take people away from the original ops rom or some people might be confused with it being by mildwild himself as its displayed in a rom dev format..
people need to chill out, leave the complaining to the other devs if they have an issue with it and everyone else concentrates on flashing.
i dont see you complaining about the many different varients of stock roms that are modified in a kitchen using the same kernel as every other rom and called something different.

Oh, I do get annoyed by all the Sense ROMs too. With all that ROMs out there it's pretty hard to see the difference, so that's a mess too IMO.

I have no Google Play store icon anywhere. I see the Google Play process running in the background.
but have no way to get it to show up. This on a fresh ROM, all User data, Cache, and all that cleared.
Any help on this would be nice.
Would of asked on that post where I got the ROM. but I don't have the patience to or any thoughts about other post to make to meet the requirements to even post there.
Tried without flashing the Google Apps and with the google apps they list there.

Are you sure you are using the right GApps package? That's Rasheds ROM you're referring to using. Build 7 is Android 4.1.2. Check this link here. And some of the problems you may be experiencing could be due to a faulty installation because of limited system space. You may want to review the LG Optimus One FAQ too.

There is more then enough internal space. (150MB Free after Gapps Flashed).
I tried again with the Gapps for 4.1.2. At the time my post I re flashed the ROM but left it out. I didn't flash it.
When I tried again. I got the Updating Android. but still no Play Store Icon. However it did not break my home or other buttons.
and browser still working. but again. no Play Store icon.
I checked the FAQ. Currently i see nothing there to give hints. I got more then enough free space. I've flashed ROMs on this phone dozens of times so I know the whole wiping of cache and data and all that between each ROM.

You have to trim the Rom, there's not enough SYSTEM space for the Rom and Gapps..this has been discussed time and time again on rashed thread(cm10)..There's a tool ( Oone Rom editor that will help you do this) This is why you have the bugs that your facing.

I used that program already. looking at all that it would only show.
the math dont even come to half of what the phone memory is.

The system partition has nothing to do with the devices memory. These devices have a 190 MB system partition, this is where Android gets installed. What you are referring to is the user data partition which is 200 MB, while the device has 415 MB+- RAM ( memory ). Unless you are using Android 4.2.2, the only way to see how much space is on the system partition is with a third party app, with ADB, or with a Terminal Emulator app on the device. The math isn't adding up because you don't understand it, that's why I pointed you to the FAQ thread.
I wrote OOne ROM Editor. I haven't put hundreds, yes hundreds, of hours in to it's development just for general pleasure. It was written for a specific purpose, to trim ICS and newer ROMs for devices with small or limited system partitions.

I dont know what to try to trim with that program. i dont know what half them apps do.
Like Exchange2.apk. I don't know what that is. Which are some of the key things i can trim?
Also, Telling me how many hours you put into a program and that i dont understand something not going to be on my good side. So i missed something, big deal. I just got off a anxiety attack. and i was needing was a simple answer. doing a search for "LG P509 No Playstore Icon" was getting me no where and i didnt want to have to search page by page of the 487 pages of the ROMs post to find clues.

The help docs in OOne ROM Editor's thread list some of the known files that can be removed from and or moved around, ie; converted to user app, in the ROM.

Are you getting an "assert() failed" message? If you are using CWM 5.0.2.7 Touch, it will only allow you to install P500 ROMs. OOne ROM Editor has the ability to remove the "assert()" statement from the ROM's updater-script to prevent that particular error from happening. Before building the ROM, go to the Tools->Build submenu and select the Build Options command. Check the checkbox for "Remove updater-script 'assert()' statement". Then build the ROM.
And stress... You call editing a ROM stress? Try writing the code for OOne ROM Editor Or better yet, play with live electricity :silly: - oh wait I do that already since I am an electrician... DOn't get frustrated by it. Sit back relax and soak in some of the knowledge around here.

Again bad, day. had a Anxiety attack. haven't slept. I havent played with Android as often as other things. I am also a Electronic person. Soldering Caps and so on on motherboards all the time. So please dont talk like that to people you dont know. they may have plenty of knowledge. but maybe having whats called a short fuse kinda day.
Also I did do "Remove updater-script 'assert()' statement". And i get no error from OOne ROM Editor it was in CWM it would just say it was bad, or say nothing at it would just restart CWM. Ill try again when Im better. Right now my phone has CWM 5.0.2.0, So ill change that as well when i try again.
but right im turning in for the night.

Sorry you're having a bad day. Rest assured, if I was talking down to you, there wouldn't be any smilies. I was just expressing that you weren't the only one out there with stress in their life, and some of us have loads of it. On that note, I'm not one of the many teenagers around here. So I'm not talking down to you, but out of experience. My teenage years were gone 23 years ago. Apparently it was take outta context, Sorry.
I think the issue I mentioned for CWM 5.0.2.7 is a shared issue with CWM 5.0.2.0, but I can't say for sure as I don't recall ever using CWM 5.0.2.0. I wasn't suggesting changing to the CWM I mentioned, was asking if that was the one you were/are using, which you've now stated you aren't. There error I was referring to would have been from CWM after flashing or trying to flash a ROM.

Can that program add apps? If so or not. maybe I can edit the zip directly. but is it possible to port the old music player in Gingerbread to JB. I don't like Apollo. or would it just be better to remove Apollo and find something I like in Play store when i make this work?
And should i try to use CWM 5.0.2.7 instead, and try again?

EDIT 2: just ROM Manger being a butt. going to the site directly. I see CWM 5.0.2.7 as the latest.

Yes apps can be added, but only as User Apps. Select "User Apps" in the treeview on the left. Then right click on the listview on the right and select the "Add apps" command item. A file dialog will appear. Multiple file selection is allowed.
You can remove Apollo. I prefer Google Play Music myself.
For your recovery. CWM 5.0.2.7 will only allow installing P500 ROMs. I do prefer the touch version of CWM, and since P509 is identical to P500, it's really not an issue other than baseband which is solved with a flashable patch. I really cannot recommend a recovery as we all have different likes/dislikes/usage patterns. I would recommend not using ROM Manager to install a recovery. It's been known to be faulty with our devices. Theres always ADB and fastboot or another one of my tools, Android Flash Recovery. There are several other apps around XDA that can do this also.

but I'm getting the jiffs of that program. I just need to play with it. some things I converted to User apps never loaded at all.
So I need to play with what I can put in User data that will still work. but none the less i been getting the builds to install.
And even show Play Store again.
Just need to mess with what works and dont in User data.

Is there anyway you can post the updater-scipt from one of the builds you've made with OOne ROM Editor where you've modified the LatinIME.apk and specified to install as a User App? The updater-script is located in the /META-INF/com/google/android folder in the output/build ROM.
One thing to note tho, build options are reset after every build.

I noticed that it resets everytime. so i been ontop of that. I check both boxes in the build options before I build them.

I can't tell what you installed as user apps from the updater-script, but there were apps installed to the user ( data ) partition. And the assert() statement is missing from the script, so I know that option was checked in the Build Options.
The reason I say not to manually move it is because the LatinIME Keyboard Editor should be used to edit it's dictionaries. Once you press the "Apply" button in the LatinIME Keyboard Editor, it removes the LatinIME.apk from System Apps and actually puts it in the apps Recycle Bin. I use the list of files in the Recycle Bin as a filter of files not to include when building the ROM. LatinIME Keyboard Editor also looks in the Recycle Bin for the LatinIME.apk if it can't find it in System Apps but it assumes that it's deleted so it won't do anything.
I am actually working on OOne ROM Editor right now. So you can be on the lookout for an update

Well I got everything to work. Keyboard, Play Store, etc. But not sure ill stick with trying to put JB on the phone.
Its really slow. Unless more free space on the system partition would allow it to run faster.
Would your OOne ROOM Editor work on Any rom Like a CM7 Rom? or just JB ones? if not would you consider support for other roms?
I haven't tried, but figure I would ask.

OOne ROM Editor is just for ICS and JB ROMs. It's really not needed for Android versions prior to 4.0.

Long time no see, huh? Well, contrary to the Post title, I am back but it's different now! Why?
THESE GApps ARE NOW APART OF Open GApps!
I wanted to cover a few things about this package real quick though!
First, the source code has been moved and updated (the old actually was missing the newer releases!) onto GitLab. One note though is that the APKs themselves are managed using Git-Annex, so you will need that to "complete" your repo. Find the source code here: http://gitlab.com/TeamVoxive/vox_gapps/
Second, Open GApps includes a AROMA version too that will be easy for you guys to migrate over to!
Third, my other project, Vox Remover is on hiatus as it is semi-replaced by Open GApps as not only it includes more removals than the original PA/TK Gapps these were based on but it also includes the ability to remove ANY app (have to configure in config file).
Lastly, I want to mention my "other" project that I am still working on. Vox Variety is a 24-hour variety station playing a lot unique stuff!
You can find Open GApps at http://opengapps.org with daily, auto-generated builds for 4.4x to 5.1x on arm(64) and x86(_64) with a ton of variants!

QUICK HOW-TO
We will cut everything after a pound sign/hashtag/"#" from the script. That is, all the tutorials, app descriptions, and apps you want to keep; thus, only leaving the script with the files you want to remove
Edit the list below as you see fit, examples:
AdobeReader.apk > Removed (because there is no "#")
#AdobeReader.apk > NOT Removed (because of "#")
AdobeReader.apk #PDF Reader > Removed (but extra text ignored)
CUSTOMIZING
By making a file named junk.txt in the /sdcard/Famigo/remover folder you can add files from anywhere and use wildcards to cut similar items.
Files and folders deleted ARE case-sensitive, examples:
/path/to/file/file.txt > Deletes file.txt
/path/to/folder/ > Deletes folder ... REMEMBER the trailing "/"
/system/app/Apollo.apk > Deletes the system app Apollo ... REMEMBER to scan Everywhere during install when including FULL PATH
/data/app/Facebook.apk > Deletes the user app Facebook (if that's what it's called) ... REMEMBER to scan Everywhere during install when including FULL PATH

WHAT TO SCAN
During the install, it will ask you which folders to scan. By default, we will only Scan /system/(priv-)app which is where system apps and PARTICULARLY junk apps are. However, you may want to erase user apps that are in /data/app or other system files located elsewhere. Unless you are specifically trying to remove user installed apps - do not check Scan /data/app and unless you are trying to cut a specific file or folder (ringtones, wallpapers, etc) - do not check Scan Everywhere

It deletes anything that I am aware of.
So if for example, you was going to delete the stock Email app; it would also erase Exchange Services.

I found this Gapps this morning and installed it on my 4.4.1 Tab2. It is absolutely great!! Having the option of only installing what I really need is fantastic. My only question is if this is a one shot deal or do you intend to update it on a regular basis?

That's great to hear. One suggestion: I don't know if it is possible, but since most of the latest ROMs require you to reinstall the Gapps after flashing the ROM, and since this Gapp requires you to pick and choose which apps you want and don't, it would be very useful to have a way of saving the choices so that you wouldn't have to go through the whole selection process every time you reflash a ROM. Maybe it could be done in a "preprocess" step on the PC or on the SD card as a small saved file?

During the gapps flash process the Aroma UI selections are all saved in two files:
/tmp/aroma/gapps.prop
/tmp/aroma/remover.prop
Just in case you do not know "/tmp" disappears after the flash file completes.
Those would be the files to save. Access to user internal storage is possible assuming if has not been wiped prior to ROM flashing. Of course saving to SD/OTG storage would even get around that situation. All this assumes the two prop files could be retreived from where they are stored before Aroma starts executing. I have been looking at this over the last hour just to see if it is possible.

I made this app because I got sick of flashing stock recovery when a GPE OTA came, and then flashing back to a custom. I also wanted to cut my teeth on Android App Development so here it is. My first app..
This SHOULD work on any device that uses the /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery structure.
I have tested it on the HTC M8 and the OnePlus One
You MUST be rooted and have busybox installed:
You MUST place a stock recovery img and a custom recovery(of your choice) img onto your INTERNAL sd card. Name them stock.img and custom.img (case matters)
Run the app and then press whichever you want to flash stock or custom and that's it.
This is my first app on google play and my first app ever really and I still have a lot of learn. Don't expect anything fancy. I did this mostly for myself to save time of manually having to flash the files and as a learning experience.

It's not possible. The only way you can flash a recovery on a non-rooted device is through fasboot (if your bootloader is unlocked) If you're using an app to flash a recovery then it needs to run a command that can only be run on rooted devices.

Vox Remover, based on PA GApps Remover by @TKruzze, is a flashable script for rooted Android devices that allow you to remove some bloatware that may come with your ROM.
To use, just flash after your ROM of choice! It will walk you through making the file and it will then remove them. Finally, the Addon.d script will keep them removed across updates without a reflash!

When I based this project off of the PA GApps Easy Config script I was working on, I accidentally left some items in the config script named "aosp_prop" instead of "gapps_prop". To make it easier, I renamed both to just "prop".

In config script, fixed leftover PA GApps config name and replaced with Vox Remover.

The second is that even if you copied over the script manually, the items to restore were in the "restore" section and not "pre-restore" and this caused things like AOSPA's script to not restore completely!

There is instructions, it tells you how to make the text file and to flash, if you don't know how to flash, then you shouldn't be using custom ROMs!
As for possible conflicts, they both supplement each other, one removes GApps and the other removes stock apps! They are safe to use together!

Compared to his versions, the interface is completely slimmed down and the ZIP is smaller. How? Well, I used my base which is categorized and has a better file structure. The ZIP is smaller thanks to a few things: One includes less words in script files. An example is resread instead of zipread. This allows you to not have to enter the full file path. Secondly, he added a Splash image and I ran it through a PNG compressor. Before it was 520 KB and is now 130 KB. Third, my base doesn't include extra themes and icons that make up most AROMA zips.

CM Home, Cell Broadcast, and CM account are essential for device use, aka if you remove them, your device won't work.
There is no such thing as the CM Video Editor... The video editor included in CM is the AOSP Movie Studio.
Also, Spare parts and Development are two separate apps. They both are advanced tools for app development.

Exchange services are there.
The keyboard we don't allow to remove because if you don't install a keyboard, you will be unable to type!
Camera I'll have to think about.
The live wallpapers are there, they just may have different names. Black hole is actually called Galaxy4.
Basic live wallpapers (I think) include Nexus. Spectrum is a part of Visualization Wallpapers.
