Ever wondered Music runs without touch of ur finger??
Now it will!!
Intuitive music player, with sensors (proximity, accelerometer..) as controls.
This app allow you (mainly) to skip songs without using your fingers nor the screen, depending on the situation.
5 easy-to-access modes are available :
- Fly over : Pass your hand in front of your device (5cm max) to play/skip current song. Hold it 0.5s to pause. The proximity sensor we use is generally located around the device front speaker.
- Pocket : Lock the device, put in your pocket, slap it (pretty hard) to skip current track.
- Hammer : Put the device on a surface like a table, hit the table to skip current song. WARNING: using the device loudspeaker can produce enough vibration to fire the action !
- Sensors disabled : Sensors are disabled, you can only use buttons to control the player.
- Custom : In case you feel the need to use different sensor settings. Set wich sensors you want to enable, set sensitivty and your own action for each sensor events !
Please join the facebook page to ask questions, report bugs and request features ! (you can also use button in app context menu)

this app is in heavy development, with lots of updates. If you find a bug, please report it (using mail, FB page, auto report...) and wait 24h before posting a bad comment. We work hard on every little bug, we usually just need a few hours to fix...
thanks, and enjoy =)

Great idea! Perfect for when I'm in the car. Is there a way to get rid of the menu to choose what mode it's in? Kinda intrusive.. Also, if there was a way to go back a song that would be awesome, however I see how that could not work.

The UI is ugly...but it great app... 5 stars...
Sent from my WT19i using xda premium

works well ,however the ui looks ugly and needs to be changed ...

Some comments:
1. Feature request, swipe left to go back one song.
2. UI issue same as the rest. Can't select individual songs to play. Must create playlist?
3. Is there a way to calibrate the sensors? When I use the swipe function, when screen off, a slight movement of my phone will register as a swipe and skip to next song. Very irritating.
4. The app MUST hold a wakelock in order to work?
5. Table function works fine but hammer function a bit off and non responsive.
Great app. Keep developing.

no run on CyanogenMod9

Thanks for the equalizer! That's one off the list! now we just need a sweet ICS Holo theme!

So will we ever get the option to play music by albums, artist, or just the song in general without having to put it into a playlist?

slap hard?
in the slap hard gesture, which sensor will be active, since i put my sgs2 in a flip case so hows it gonna recognise,i would like to know which sensor will be recognised, also u must mention the devices your app is gonna support as all devices dnt hav all sensors

realy good

Interesting way of using the accelerometer, i will try the app miself see how it works.

Thanks for the app very useful,
is there a way that the folder will automaticly add all my songs the playlist?

hi guys, glad you like my app =)
if you have suggestions, and/or want to impact next features (I always ask users what hey want, using some kind of poll), I invite you to join the FB page here :
edit: ok, I'm not allowed to post link, but it's facebook url slash sensorplayer.
see you !

wowww really ossmmmm
ossmmm appp mann... mind blowing...
tested on AT&T GALAXY NOTE ICS 4.0.4
really fully responsive...
on thing if u can make...
swipe up and down for volume increase and decrease....
it ll b really fun....
Thanx mate

I usually have a problem with pausing with wave over option. While song changing works flawlessly, when I just put my hand over phone it often change a song before pausing, or even few songs. Sometimes song is paused, but after I take my hand away next one is started immediately. I think that this function need some calibration. Besides this flaw your music player is great - I'm surprised that no one before you though about that kind of way to change songs.

question about Pocket Mode
hi dears
can anybody tell me how slap detection (pocket mode) works?
thanks

Nice
NICE work, carry on :good:

Interesting idea but not anymore.

Are Sensor Music Player Works on all Android Devices?
hi
this is an interesting app but it's pocket mode doesn't work on all android devices. i thinks it doesn't get ACCELEROMETER when screen off.
is it true?
tnx

[GAME] Ultimate Music Quiz - Call for testers

Hi, I'm developing a music quiz for Android and before I launch it in the Android Market I would like to release a public beta for testers and hear some feedback and suggestions from you.
The concept of the game is simple and nothing new. A song plays for 20 seconds and the user has to answer which band or song is playing.

The main difference from the apps that are available in Android Market is that UMQ does not use the music that you have in SD. Instead you can choose to play music from a last.fm username, a artist you love or from one tag available in last.fm. This makes the possibilities of playing UMQ almost infinitive.
The High Scores are powered by ScoreLoop and is Ad supported. The score is the time left.
Known Issues:
- In time when passing from 01 to 00 it takes 2 seconds
- It's only optimized for HVGA (320x480)
- Sometimes appears songs that are not related with the tag, or artist
- If the name as a & sometimes don't appear the text after the &
- Some state buttons images are missing
- In artist game mode sometimes it gets stuck, you have to go back several times to give force close or kill the app
- Some songs appear repeatedly in one game
- The Options button does not work
Each game of UMQ generates about 20MB of data, so it recommended that you use a Wi-fi connection.
All feedback are welcome and appreciated.
Donwload v0.2.3
Hope you like UMQ
Options button doesn't work
Hi!
On my desire hd, the options button doesn't work, when i listen to a song, press the back button, select a new artist, the whole program freezes, and the two songs play on top of each other. Also, when i have played the game for some time, the whole program just hangs and i get a force close message.
Anyway, Greate game!
hi,
i would be happy to test your game i own a htc desire Z.
Ill keep an eye on this thread. If you happen optimize for other resoulutions ill give it a shot.
thoughts
just played one quick game of it (got 13th place on the leaderboard)
fun game. would have liked a little more space between the band names. it ran well though and is a cool concept. especially once i get some more music on my phone i'm going to give it another go.
on a t-mobile g2.

Hi, I just downloaded your game on my nexus s and after answering a few questions the game crashes and I have to restart it.
Hope this helps!
When I first loaded up the game I chose play, then chose last.fm username and it foreclosed on me. restarted, just picked artist this time, chose snoop dogg, game worked fine but out of the 20 songs it played 2 of them twice and 1 of the three times. And 3 or 4 questions had two of the same answers. Other than that I love the game! great idea!
Edit-Plus I dont know if you have control over this or not, but try to choose a part of the song which doesn't involve the title, if possible.
beta
i will be happy to beta test this app.

Fun! Nice work. I fired it up on my Vibrant and had a couple force closes, but it seems to be running now. I used the username function and artist. Both seemed to work well so far.
Hi, running a gingerbread rom on a Desire and working ok. Flaws seen so far, same potential answer given twice (ie not 3 distinct possibilities) and same song being repeated.Great concept and app though!
Works great on Droid X
will download/try/review tomorrow when i get the chance/time too! sounds good tho!
update: downloaded it and tried it...
1)options buttton DOESNT work at all
2)since I dont really use fm radio or tags or listen to music on my phone I cant seem to start the game...
which is kind of an issue
rooted g2 running stock rom
On my rooted Droid X I noticed that the options button does not funtion as well as exiting the program while in the game does keep the songs playing (kind of annoying). I don't use last fm so I didn't test that part. Also it seems like you'd want to filter out if two options come up that are the same song name. Other than that it works well.
I will test in my Galaxy S
absolutely love the app, a bit of feedback, some sort of notification or feedback for the user between songs to show the app is downloading the next song would b grrat, many times I thought the app crashed. other then that, very nice work, great idea. can't wait for more updates

[HOW TO] Make your Play the perfect in-car MP3 player!

Okay, so this thread may seem a bit odd, but there are people (myself included) who use their Xperia Play to blare music through their car stereos while driving. I've found that the best way to do this and not veer off the road (hey thanks SE for the really difficult to unlock phone.. ) is to do the following:
1) get root here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312859
2) download PowerAMP from the marketplace (just because I like poweramp... you can do this with the stock music player as well... blah.)
3) Download the free app "Change Shoulder Buttons" from the market
4) Go to the change shoulder app, click mode, then media.
5) Accept root permissions, do the Charleston, and rejoice!
The best way to change songs while on the road is to hit the home button (which lights up the screen) then hit the R shoulder button. It will change the song without you even having to unlock it!
I know this tutorial seems fairly obvious, or dumb, or common sense, but maybe I just saved someone out there from running over a cat because their stupid lock screen swipey thing wouldn't swipe, and they really didn't want to listen to That One Song.
Or you can get PlayerPro (which you should have anyway because it's the absolute best mobile media playing experience of any mobile operating system) and have a media player integrated right there in your lock screen :3

Ah, this looks great, but I made this thread on the idea of "eyes on the road, not on your phone" and although the lockscreen would be awesome for while I'm walking or something, I like having the ability to change songs without looking at my phone. Then again, for the life of me I cannot use my touch screen without looking, and I'm sure that most people here can do that. xP
Thank you for the find though! I will give it a try when I get home.

If you use poweramp, that also has a lockscreen player

*scours settings* le woah! I originally didn't like this new Poweramp release, but it's starting to get better and better!
Just Shake app allows volume buttons to be used for previous/next track when the music player is playing or when the headphones are pluged in. Has many other features too like silencing the ring tone with the turn of the phone, answering/hanging up calls with a shake, or launchng apps with the shake when not phoning, and I believe does not require root. Also vibrates when the call ends. Give free trial a go, I purchased the app but do have a problem with it sometimes dying in the background - maybe converting it into system app if you have root fixes that - I will test.
I just use doubletwist for itunes syncing with my phone upside down in the car (since they put the lockscreen buttons on the bottom). Works well enough since I'm not dead or anything yet and it's free. It's just annoying that applications have a sucky/lack of support for creating dynamic playlists as compared to ipod touch/iphone.
CyanogenMod 7.1 uses the volume buttons to raise/lower volume and change songs with any music player.

increasing your Dalvik VM Heapsize may also help you with that problem
Depending on your car Bluetooth music is pretty nice. While the sound quality is a bit lower, I can connect to my phone without even taking it out of my pocket, and my steering wheel controls work to allow me to change tracks! Also on Pandora the controls move you to the next track. If I hit the source button on my steering wheel to go to the radio or something my phone pauses automatically as well. This is all built in I had no modifications made to the phone to do this.
My car is a 2010 Camaro SS, but I would imagine any GM car with BT music should do this. And any other brand for that matter.

I haven't gone Dalvik root yet, but was considering doing Link2SD to get more memory - what do you think about link2sd versus Dalvik cache please? By the way Just Shake has not failed since i made it a system app so far. I tried the same trick with "Skype on 3" but it still closes in background by itself - maybe this one does it when I lose internet or mobile connection in the tube etc.

Link2sd is better. To change the dalvik vm heapsize all you have to do is pull your build.prop open in wordpad, find the line that says dalvik vm heapsize =. And change the number to 48m. This will allow background apps a little more memory before system closes them

[APP][2.3+] Magic Unlock

Hello,
I am the developer behind Magic Unlock
First of all, this app allows you to unlock your phone (after the screen is on) using a hover gesture.
Usage tips
- Lockscreen security needs to be off
- Lockscreen needs to be active
- Works only after the screen is on
- 'On' button means that the app is working
Tehnical data
- Uses proximity sensor for hover detection
- Android service with listening on ACTION_SCREEN_ON/OFF intents
- Proximity sensor reading only when screen is on (battery saving)
- And an adaptive service
Adaptive service settings
- Low priority - app running in background (might be laggy on some devices)
- Medium priority (adaptive) - running in background when enough memory is available / running in foreground (visible notification) when low memory is detected - [recommended setting]
- High priority - always run in foreground (visible notification) - [best responsiveness]

The app it's on a lightweight long running service that stays in background when in medium or low priority mode with no sensor listening
so the battery it's not threatened

Unfortunately no, only 2 boolean values 0/1 or 0/5, but you could think about apps using proximity in combination with light sensor that have many levels

i don't think that is possible, couldn't find any android api for the air gesture sensor
My guess is that they are using a device specific implementation that combines the light/camera/proximity sensors
Working great on Nexus 4, only thing as extra would be making it work together with light sensor, but light change too much based on enviroments
Nice
Works great on E4GT..Very responsive.Low on Ram. And combined with gravity screen off, its great.
Hope its not laggy

Thanks!
Works perfectly on my Galaxy SII! (SGH-T989)
Will continue to use this for a week and see how it goes. Hopefully, it doesn't take strain the battery.
Ok so i'ts not working for me HTC One. Security and lockscreen are off. but phone goes straight to home screen on power button press.
Also are you thinking of making this work when the screen is off to turn it on? i.e. you could use accelerometer to test when the phone is taken out of the pocket, and at that stage turn the proximity sensor on and wait for hand hover? Seems simple in theory lol
EDIT: Ok Ok Ok last edit, so it works now but its impractical if you need security as someone can just unlock your phone normally (in my case pulling the lock sprite up) without knowing about the magic unlock functionality, on top of that its faster to unlock normally :/ Others seem to find it good though so I guess I'm a one off

Get HomeTouch from Playstore
HomeTouch is a tool that help fingerprint sensor to work for you beyond its original authentication function. It transforms the little used fingerprint sensor into a powerful controlling touch point.
HomeTouch enables touching fingerprint sensor to control your phone. It can replace your Home button, or Back button, Screen Off button, Recent Apps button. It can also pull down notification bar and quick setting drawer from the top of the screen. For light version, you can pick one of the above functions. Sound and vibration feed back upon touching is selectable.
For Pro version : It provides you with PRO short touch and long touch actions - thus give you more comfort and increase your efficiency using your phone. Besides performing one of the above functions, it allows turning on the camera, taking a screen shot, and especially toggle HomeTouch's control desk from any screen to perform most of your daily activities: adjust ring and media volume, screen brightness, display time-out, open calendar, calculator, telephone, sms, mail, browser, set alarms, open previous applications, screen rotation locks, toggle flash light, launch any custom application or open any custom document. It can even control media player.
Moreover, long touch can also be used to switch applications just as using Alt+Tab in Windows. Switching back and forth between recent applications has never been so easy with this one-touch concept implemented in HomeTouch.
With HomeTouch, your fingerprint sensor becomes much more valuable and useful !
Note:
- Please read HomeTouch description in Playstore for more information before installing/using HomeTouch
- Latest new release version 2.1 is just launched recently
- Initially HomeTouch is made for Samsung phone, but now it can also work on a number of other phones besides Samsung.
Great working good on Note 4,and yes its selectable.

hi. how will this affect battery? it's working on galaxy s6 btw
Hi n3loki
It consumes little battery, less than 1% daily provided that you don't open it settings inteface too often.

Working great on my s7 edge. The fact that the turn off screen works without the need for root access and also does not mess with my screen timeout is all I need. Just bought the pro key so I can hide the notification. Great job on this wonderful app for samsung galaxy devices! :good:

Just updated mine to the latest version. I Like that we can now choose which color theme we can use ( yey dark theme! ) and navigate to home screen responds faster upon tapping the fingerprint scanner. Great job! :good:
Must be back button support.
Hi,
I appreciate your comments very much.
Short touch action takes shortest delay if there is no long touch action set.
Back action will be included in next update. I have been wondering if anyone requests it, now there is.
HomeTouchDev
I bought this app with back button support expectation.
Great!
Great job! Far better than EasyHome that stops working all the time.
But unfortunately, I did not find at exceptions a process/app that could add to keep
fingerprint working on samsung pass over Internet Browser for example. Add Samsung Pass App
did not work. In Easy Home app, I used sucessfully the "Android" process for this task.
Any sugestion to deal with this problem?
Thanks in advance!
Hi rogeriofosky,
In Exceptions, we can tick several apps, and when one of them become the foreground app, HomeTouch should stop accessing the finger print sensor. For example, if you tick Browser, then when you open Browser, HomeTouch should let that Browser to use the fingerprint sensor.
The other way to do this is the 3' exception Button: first you open the Browser, then make a long touch to show the Control Desk, and tap the 3' button on that Control Desk, it will ask for your confirmation to except the Browser for 3 minutes. In that 3 minutes, if you open Browser again, it will leave the finger print sensor for the Browser to use. Have you tried this ? it is working ? Please let me know also your mobile phone model and the particular app that you want to exclude if HomeTouch is not working like described above.
Thanks,
HomeTouchDev

God job man, my only choice for the music love!
Really like the YouTube search option, makes finding and sharing tunes a breeze!
I have few suggestions though:
Media Scanner to rescan the external SD card so the player can discover the newly downloaded content. The native scanner only scans the card at boot up.
Rotation support, I really dislike when apps don't support landscape orientation. First of all, landscape offers wider view for which comes in handy to see long song names and second, it's rather annoying having to rotate the phone every time when switching between apps that have different rotation support.
Now playing open window options availablity, can you add a favourite button and direct YouTube song search there so switching to the current playlist section is uneeded?
Otherwise this is one of the very best music apps there is and I would love to throw you a little donation, specially if you could implement some of these suggestions! ?
Looks good. But need folder and storage option searchs. Otherwise works great. Would like rotation as well but these are just suggestions. Good job
The app always crashes if I rotate the screen when the app is onscreen. I'm running Lineage OS on Galaxy S5.
Howzit...
What's the chances of adding a feature where I can select which folders to be scanned for music? And also a share option for media?
Otherwise it's looking good.
Hey, folks & devs!
I'd really like to know what's going on with development of this fine app? XDA Labs says it's removed from the repo, hopefuly not for good. Maybe devs decided to move elsewhere?
Anyone?
