I actually stumbled into the same situation as you when I was rooting my friend's sg2. I used this thread to get me out of code red: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342348. It worked on my second try.

[Q] stuck on reboot, not able to go into recovery

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I have yet to find a solution.
I recently rooted my Infuse with SuperOneClick. I flashed the Serendipity 7 ROM. I decided I wanted to unroot my device because my phone began to not be able to receive calls. SuperOneClick does not support 2.3 software, so I tried to flash a Froyo rom so I could use the program. My phone is now stuck in reboot. I can't even get it into recovery mode, no matter how many times I try. I have no idea what to do, I need my phone to work. Does anyone know any way to fix this? Thank you in advance.

[Q] Can't Apply T-Mobile Update to Rooted SGS24G

Hi-
I rooted my phone a month ago. I have had no problems except that when I try to download T-Mobile's software update, I get stuck in Clockwork recovery. I don't know what to do next.
Please help!
Thx!
(I rooted my phone based on Melvin's [HOWTO] ROOT T-Mobile SGSII via ODIN -- Updated Recovery on 10/20/2011 and the recovery by Bubbly in the Developer's Forum.)
Only speaking for myself.
I have never with any ROM I originally or later thereof been able to get any update pushed.
Kies and their newer Windows proggie has not once worked despite drivers etc.
Gotta tell you, the ROM's here at XDA are better any way's.
Can you recommend a ROM that would be compatible?
thx!

[Q] Samsung conquer 4g sprint

Hello all my samsung 4g conquer self updated its software now its not rooted I tried superclick it gets stuck on 7 waiting for device I lefted for over A half hour and still nothing please help
When SuperOneClick gets stuck at Rooting-Step7, then the exploit is fixed in the current rom. You are safe to force close SuperOneClick, and pull the cable.
Thank you but my phone is still not rooted any suggestions?
You can flash a custom ROM, or if you have not unlocked your bootloader you can reflash an older rom of the stock.
OK is it possible to give some links for roms and how to flash
Try different rooting methods..try flashing a supersu.zip if u have cwm ...if not then use superoneclick gingerbreak exploit works on my sgs4g

Rogers infuse root

OK so a while ago I rooted my friends rogers infuse with super one click. We then tried to flash a custom kernel on it but at the time I was a huge noob and bricked it and couldn't get it back to a working state. He only had the phone for a week so we suckered rogers into giving him a new one. Since then I've learned alot and managed to install custom roms on my i9000 sucsessfully. But now when I go to root his infuse with super one click it won't work. When he got his new phone after i bricked the the other one they hooked the phone up to there computer and did something. Is it possible that they blocked root somehow? That said would it be safe to flash infused kernel onto the phone through Odin?

Search threads.
One-click shouldn't be used for rooting the Rogers Infuse as it is running Gingerbread. There is a specific way of rooting the Rogers version (involves Odin). From what I know, one-click is just for the AT&T (2.2 Froyo) version.
Good luck!

Ya that's what I read everywhere but I actually got it to root through super one click. I haven't been able to do it again. Needless to say I still fixed my problem. I would plug the phone in and Odin would recognize it and then it would say it disconnected. Then it would say the device malfunctioned. What fixed it for me is I flashed my friends girlfriends infuse first cause it was having no issues(still her first one never been tampered with by rogers like the other one was). And then his worked just fine. Flashed kernel got cwm and installed zeus. Of course after I hard bricked it by flashing froyo based kernel then tried to fix it with a gb kernel and encountered a problem while updating firmware. Got to love back to stock guides!

[Q] Looking to get to cwm recovery installed to obtain gingerbread

I've looked, I've tried. I apologize in advance if I am bothering anyone with my question.
My phone (Galaxy s 4g- T-mobile) has been rooted via oneclick. twice. The first time, I was running stock ota gingerbread 2.3.6 as soon as I rooted, CWM recovery was installed no problems. After switching roms a couple days after root... something went wrong! I fixed my brick using odin and got back to stock 2.2.1 which is where I am now, rooted.
I've attempted to use Kies (before root) No go.
I've attempted to use Odin to upgrade, No go.
I've attempted to use Hemidall. No go.
I've also attempted to do everything manually. -Download new kernel (to obtain cwm) and flashing from within the stock recovery, no go...
I've read, I've searched... I just can not seem to figure it out.
ANY help is appreciated...
Also! I've read something about getting a generic imei number through rooting/flashing/recovery and when I check for my imei under settings, I don't see one. But, I can use my phone no problems. and when I check via dial pad, It pops up.. I DID back up my esf when I first rooted, but no imei seems to be in it... idk
Thank you in advance. :fingers-crossed:
Read through the first and second link in my signature. Then use the second link to flash GB.
Thank you!! I am on GB finally! Now getting back to root... lol
