Help,i cant get access on my lg optimus 3d software update. When i bought this phone,it has 2.2 froyo where i can still recieve updates and when i upgraded into gingerbread 2.3.5 i am recieving a message "your device is not registered yet" then i decided to flash king 3d rom hoping that i would be able to get access again on ota updates. But then still no luck.now im getting a message "com.android.phone has stopped"
-pls help,is there any way i could get updates again?

P.s. i tried to register over and over on google/market/lgsmart world/lg website/ tried to contact lg support but.. no luck..
You will never get an update if you are not on stock rom.

I have the same problem. I flash roms via KDZ flasher...
I did upgrade my O3D to GB using LG Mobile Support Tools.
Download the GB package ~ 400 MB. Upgrade completed after 20 minutes.

Missing software update option in my o3d. I dont know how,but its not there where it should be,or anywhere else. I have v10d. Stock rom offcourse. How is it possible that the option to update is not there? Any suggestions or help? Thanks in advance.

Is there an apk that can be downloaded for example OTA.apk? I don't know why but there is no Ota update function in my phone. I used to have it in my previous phone. Anyone? Please....

I guess that you are on froyo,because my phone did not have ota update option in setings when i was on froyo,but now on GB it's ok.
Only solution for you is either to wait for official update via lg pc suite or to flash kdz v21a gingerbread,than you can root and flash custom roms.

You can actually leave your phone exactly the way it is right now. No need to un-root.

This is a very easy update process, but follow the steps perfectly.

Hey guys
just got myself the O3D. its got vodafone nz boot screen and shut down screen and so on which is all good.
but when i had the xperiax10 before i could edit some numbers in the build.prop file, plug my phone into the computer for software update and then sure enough it would update or when i reinstall the software The boot screen would be changed and i wouldnt have vodafone apps nd stuff.
so if anybody reading this knows if and how i can make my phone generic and have a generic rom in it that would be awesomee.
by the way i have roooted my phone already. and its running android 2.2.2 and software version is apparantly v10d july 08 2011 apparantly. i dont know what that means.
your help would be greatly apppreciated.
You should be able to use the lg mobile update tool to update to gingerbread

Search for kdz flashing it debrands it but does not sim unlock it and will get you onto a fully debranded gingerbread...
hello recently i update from 2,2, to 2.3 with kdz files ( i tried V21E V21A and v21d )
and accrued 2 problems 1st problem was wifi reception was really badly sometimes could not connect even at a very close distance
then i tried to flash some roms both thaiz and acura and some more i found
the roms was for GB baseband ( i had a 2.3 baseband since i update with kdz files ) so when i flash a rom with clockworkmod
the phone opens and did not ask for pin number and could not connect to operator and said something like organizing bla bla
any ideas ??
so i downgrade to 2.2 baseband ( latest v10k ) and flash a acura rom for 2.2 baseband and works like a charm
any ideas guys ? for 2.3 updates
no one has this problem ??

thanks for the reply but i already used it
i believe my phone is not Greek but German or something else from EUrope
in the past was a site from official LG where at the end of the link you put your EMEI and it tells you from where is your phone
unfortunately the link in not working either the site where downloading kdz files
so i think i have to try something like open europe kdz or not know
by now i have flashed the basebands kdz over 10 times with not luck

also i tried to flash bin files (same problem) (f*** wifi)
the pin problems are not more but wifi problem still exists
i also tried the official method through lg but same problem
i guess i have to stuck to Froyo
but i also guess that i am going to get rid of this phone and never again buy Lg phone
my next will be for sure galaxy s2 or s3 maybe

AM at wits end trying to upgrade from V10l, have pretty much tried all firmware upto v21e but aways wind up with no APN and 'reorganising internal process...' and cant add them back in....
Have seen the future with custom ROMs and want a better Android experience?

Tried LG tools, followed all run thrughs on here but they never even start to update for me....SMartFlash Tool seems to update phone but then back to no APNs

After the ICS update from HERE I haven't been able to flash. I tried the method listed HERE and HERE. The error message I'm receiving is in the attached pic. I tried asking around for a few days, but no replies. Here's hoping someone knows what's going on. I'm assuming its a driver issue. If someone wants to help over teamviewer that would be much appreciated too. I'll be on for the next 12 hours.

What's going wrong? Maybe we can help without having to use Teamviewer.
I got it now bdadd34 helped me and well I cant recall his name now butit was something like iammonstaaa. I had driver issues as in I was dumb and had wrong drivers installed thank you tho

I managed to install the ICS rom on my P925 Thrill. Played with it for about an hour. It was unstable as all heck and tried to reinstall the V21E firmware but it didn't work. I had to install the old V10g or whatever it is and then I was able to install V21E. For flashing and upgrading, I miss my Samsung phones lol

I successfully installed your ported ICS rom into my P925, everything runs smothly, however, after having all the drivers installed and all the tools installed, I cannot make windows xp and the LGFlashTool to install the baseband, it recognizes an existing sim card installed but nothing else, USIMcard error, no providers available :crying: It gives me the following error after 30 seconds:

Did he help you install the baseband or did he help you restore download mode in order for you to go back to gingerbread?
I read your other thread about restoring download mode, I am not asking for teamviewer assistance but if it is that complicated and you are willing to help in January then please put your ported ICS rom into a kdz file in order to be able to reflash your ICS ported rom with the baseband all at once through the other flashing method (the one that only recognizes kdz files) *if flashing like that without restoring download mode is posible...
I do not want to go back to gingerbread, I only need to flash a working latam baseband (or equivalent, HSPA 850 baseband) into xbsall's ported ICS rom...
