Here you are the update file for voice search(1.9mb).Extract the voice search file with 7z and file a update file in the voice search file. Follow the Market installation steps.
Somebody can't play the Temple Run game and it is because the G-sensor not tweak.
You can download the FID BN G-sensor Tweak file and extract it and get the update.zip file.
Follow above step to flash the file.
G-sensor Tweak file Warning :Be-Careful the G-sensor Tweak file is only good for the TB782 version which the back cover mark FID :BN (beside the Made In China)
Don't flash to other version and it will corrupt your G-sensor

My unit was rooted out of the box. NICE!

Set-up
I have done steps 1-5. 6 says go to set up and I'm not sure what you mean by go to set-up. Sorry if I sound dumb but I'm not sure where to go to go thru set up.
I GOT IT!!

does this need CWM or stock recovery
ok folk im on my second zeki. one the 1st one attempted to put CM9 on it after installing cwm. tablet booted to a sputtering white screen . i tlet the battery die then (vol - and power) to boot into recovery but encounter the same results. eventually the screen stopped coming on completly no matter what. I exchanged it at Sears for another.
Now without install CWM i attempted to do this market install. Similar result black screen and unresponsive. Are these things duds or did i miss something

worked for me
thanks man, it worked for me. this little tablet is great for the price. Too bad this is the only thread anywhere for the zeki.

Have to say this is a sweet little tablet for not much money. I had a little trouble flashing Google Play on, but it was my lack of familiarity with the device and nothing else. Here are some notes in case you need a little more detail than the OP furnished.
1. Charge and power up the device.
2. Install the apps per the leaflet that comes in the box.
3. Open the book reader app and spend a little time with the user manual. It helped me get familiar with some of the buttons and icons that differ on Android 4 from previous versions.
4. Insert a suitable micro SD card.
5. Go to Settings -> Storage and delete everything on the card to clean it up (if necessary).
6. Download the update.zip from the OP in this thread to whatever computer you're going to connect the device to.
7. Connect the USB cable. A USB Connected message should show up in the notification bar at the bottom and the USB symbol should appear.
8. Tap the USB symbol in the notification bar. A message should come up that asks if you want to turn on USB storage and explains that tapping the botton provided will let you copy files to the SD card.
9. As the OP says, two drives will appear. On my system, neither was identified as ZEKI, but one contains a folder named DCIM which is where the camera stores it's files on the SD card, so you know that's the right one. (You can check the properties of each if you want to to check overall size.) Copy the update.zip to the root of the drive with the DCIM folder.
10. You can then eject the device from the computer and let it remount the SD card.
11. On the device, go to Settings -> About Tablet -> Check for update -> Check Now and OK.
12. The device will restart in recov mode and you may see a path error scroll by at the bottom. In any case, the choices appear at the top and one will be to install the update from the SD card.
13. Use the volume rocker (up/down) to highlight that choice and tap the power button to select it.
14. At this point the device installed the update and rebooted.
When all was said and done, Google Play showed up in the app list and it even updated Flash and a couple other things. I used the same Google Account I have on my smartphone. I tried installing a couple of paid apps I have on my phone and it let me with no problem. I'm still playing, but it's pretty much all good so far. - MarkC

Thanks for the write up - I saw one of these at Kmart for $99 (also at sears) and thought it might be worth a try - they have a 30 day return anyways if it sucks.... Did anyone else get cm9 running on it?

Well - I went and bought one - looks waaay better than the 70's style Chino-clunker cheapies anyways. Went to best buy first to check out what they had (pantec and the supernova on sale for $150 (both the same price).. anyways here's what it looks like.

I'm itching to try a new rom on this thing, but not quite sure where to start - besides getting CMR on it first. Judging from the screen shot - does it look familiar to anything that might be compatible ROM wise?

I thought in the description on the Kmart site said that it charged through usb port, is the picture above the Zeki 7in tablet. Can you charge through usb? thanks
"Mini-USB port for battery recharge" -kmart

Charging options
The tablet comes with the wall plug with proprietary connection, but you should be able to use the USB cord attached to your computer as well. I have not tried this yet, but it is stated.

Yes - both ports show charging, but the manual recommends charging via the wall wart port.

Don't try it .The bootloader is lock. it will brick the table.

again for good measure dont attempt a rom install or even CWM install on this.
I've bricked 2 zeki tablets already.
in other news i gave up on this thing for now hoping a nexus tablet is really in the works. Would reather put $100 towards that.

Or if I can find a good deal on CL for a used kindle fire or nook color - lots of scam listings on CL for the kindle fire in particular.

Thanks for the additional , clear instructions. After three failed attempts it finally worked. For whatever reason I had to completely clean minisd card. Everything works great so no need to ROM !

efsres mifflin
The bootloader is NOT locked. I got CM9 installed on it, but the display drivers did not work. well the display worked, but no touch screen or rotation. I had to use a USB kb/mouse to use it.
I tried building a stock ROM through the extraction process, but never could get it to work properly. It would fully boot, but after about 10 minutes, the screen would always turn green and crash.
There are other threads, including disassembled photos of it on freaktab, but since I have not posted 10 times here, I cannot post the link.

Thank you very much it worked for the zeki , but when i go to Google play music or amazon music i am unable to play audio samples , but used pandora and that is able to work ... can someone help

I have tried this many times now and stil cannot get it to work. Google Play(market) and the other apps in the zip file do not automatically load after the update and if I try and load them manually from the zip file on the extsd card then the market will continually crash. Not sure what I am doing wrong and any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Automatic updates and create update patches with wyBuild.
After hours of trying to figure out a way to make Mast3rpyr0's batch files work correctly, I noticed it had problems sending certain commands. So I decided to use some of his batch file codes, and create a VB.NET application along with batch files. I have unrooted and rooted my personal phone multiple times trying to get this to work. I tested the app 3times!! Each time Unrooting my phone! All three times its has been successful!
What exactly does this do?
Exactly what it say, Root your EVO in 3 Steps.
How do you use it?
Make sure your phone is on USB Debug mode. (MENU > Settings > Applications > Developement > USB debugging = Checked ) Click the buttons starting from Step 1.
Why the large file size?
This includes all the .img and .zip files that are needed to root. (2 PC36IMG.zip @ ~ 170MB = 340mb) and a couple of other smaller files. I decided to add them to make things more simple and avoid having to explain where to get these files.

Note: Its recommended to flash a custom ROM. Reason I say this is because for whatever reason, the eng-image doesnt allow proper SU permission!!
Requires: Dot Net Framework 4 and HTC SYNC
I would try it if I didn't fully root yesterday. But props to you guys for putting that together. Seems like a one step jailbreak. Very nice.
WOW! Great work. This will unlock NAND too? If so you might want to update your thread title....

FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!! IF IT SAYS DONT MOVE YOUR MOUSE, DONT CLICK ANYTHING, DONT TOUCH YOUR KEYBOARD... THEN DONT!!!!
The reason for this is because for some reason a batch file cant send the command
Code:
adb shell cat sdcard/flash_image > /data/flash_image
The only way I found to get around that was using Sendkeys. I know, send keys is lame, and poor programming, but its the only way that I could get this to work.
Basically, Sendkeys sends keystokes to a targeted window, as if you were typing. You might see your keyboard NumLock, Caps light blink while this is being used, which is perfectly normal. (Enjoy the light show)

That's because the windows shell interpreter parses the redirect as belonging to the Windows system, not the android system. So it's trying to redirect the output to c:/data/flash_image or some such nonsense. Since Windows doesn't do / for it's directory structure, but instead uses \ it gacks trying to find the directory to put it in (which would be wrong even if it worked, since it would be on your hard drive, not the phone). You can change the cat line to this:
Code:
adb shell cp /sdcard/flash_image /data/flash_image
and it should work just as well. Anytime you use a redirect in a batch script like that it's going to try and redirect to Windows. If it wasn't my day off and I wasn't so tired I might figure out a fix for that, but the code I posted above should do the trick well enough. I wasn't sure initially why people wanted to to read the file into another one in the first place, but I did it with cp when I rooted and it worked fine. I suggest testing it, and then possibly changing your program. That way you can get rid of sendkeys and people breaking root by clicking something when it's running
this is amazing. too bad noobs like myself could not wait to root and unlock nand. but the process was well worth it. great job, i hope this save someone a headache

Hi,
If I do this method will I be able to load custom Roms following these steps? I found these on another site and I am a noob so this one step thing would be great for me to get my feet wet...but the whole reason I would root is so that I could try another ROM...
Here are the steps I found...earlier it said I needed adb and sdk tools so I'm not sure if below will work if I don't have that installed on my computer.
Choose a ROM you want to try. Download it and save it to your computer (do NOT extract it, leave it as a .zip)
2. Plug the phone in via USB cable and mount the sd card so we can transfer files to it.
3. Copy the ROM .zip file and save it to the root of the sd card (NOT in any folders just on the sd card itself). Once it is done copying, unplug the phone from the usb cable.
4. Turn off the phone, then turn it back on by holding down Volume Down and Power until the white bootloader screen comes up (if it finds the PC36IMG.zip on your sd because you didn’t delete it, just say NO when it asks you if you want to update). Now using the volume buttons select Fastboot, then select Recovery and wait for the phone to boot into recovery mode.
5. Scroll to Wipe Data, select wipe data/factory reset and then select wipe dalvik cache.
6. Now scroll to Apply .zip from sd card and select the ROM .zip file we saved to the sdcard and wait for it to finish flashing. Once it is done, hit reboot and you are all set! Enjoy!
OP theres an updates restore image much better options from armon .02 works for people who have bad sectors ALLOT of us have
but 01 is for those who dont try that first

Thanks for the quick reply. No, I am a new EVO owner and this is my first android phone. I was an iPhone user but I have come over to the Android side. No regrets. I have basically a new EVO with the OTA update installed. So my goal would be to run your one click method and then learn how to load roms. I also read that people have some kind of rom loader on their phone that sounded pretty easy so I need to do more searching on the forums here so I can learn.
Ken
This would have saved me 3 hours....
Thanks dude though this seems awesome.
Videos are titled "Hero 4g" btw.
Part 1 worked for me but part 2 doesn't. When I click yes on part 2 I get a screen that says "Unhandled exceptin has occured" and it gives me a option to continue or quit and I click continue and it closes out.
Does this method work if I already have the .6 stock rom on my device?

[ROM] Custom Roms For the GoGear Connect 3 8Gb

as I have promised here is are the first 3 custom ROMs for the gogear connect 3 8gb. if there is interest i will work on a few ROMs for the 16gb version also.
The way of installing roms on this device is a little different than most people are used to so i have included instructions
(with pictures this time!) but because of this way to do it it also makes this device almost brick proof and easy to fix.
before we start make sure your battery is at least charged 50%
THIS WILL DELETE ALL OF YOUR DATA EVEN THE STUFF ON THE "SD CARD"
In this guide i will be using the AndroidGeneric Rom for the example.
be sure to look in the rom package to see if i have given any extra instructions for the specific rom
1. Download the MfgTool Package at the bottom of this post. also download the rom package you wish to install.
2. extract the MfgTool Package somewhere onto your computer
3. extract the rom Package somewhere on your computer also.
4. now take the actual rom folder (in this case the AndroidGeneric folder) and put it into the profiles folder in MFG tool folder
5. Turn off your MP3 Player Compleatly
6. now with your player still turned off hold Volume Up and plug it into your computer.
7. dont let go of Volume Up untill a new device named SE Blank ELVIS shows up on your computer

8. install the driver located in the Drivers folder inside the MfgTools Folder (the driver isnt signed so you have to click a popup allowing it to install, x64 users may need to turn off driver signing to get this to work)
9. After Thats Done open MfgTool.exe
10. once Mfg tool is open click on the Options drop down menu from the menu bar and click Configuration
11. in the window that pops up Select the USB Ports tab. then scroll down the menu untill you find "Freescale i.MX51 USB BulkIO Device" and put a check mark in the check box next to it. then select ok.
12. now your back to the Mfg tool main window. Check the Profile drop down menu to make sure it is on the rom you want. then hit start.
13. it will install the rom you selected. when you get to the part where it says "please connect device" and the stop button is red it is done installing. hit the stop button and unplug your mp3 player from the computer.
14. turn on your mp3 player with its new rom. it may take a little bit longer than usual to start up but thats only because its for the first time.
15. you are done unless there are more instructions with the rom.
for people that have already done this, here is a set of instructions to install differant roms
1. extract the rom Package somewhere on your computer.
2. now take the actual rom folder (in this case the AndroidGeneric folder) and put it into the profiles folder in MFG tool folder
3. Turn off your MP3 Player Compleatly
4. now with your player still turned off hold Volume Up and plug it into your computer using the same usb port that you used the first time
5. dont let go of Volume Up untill you hear the beep of the computer recognizing the device.
9. After Thats Done open MfgTool.exe
12.Check the Profile drop down menu to make sure it is on the rom you want. then hit start.

I am guessing that your builds are based off of these, but would like to make sure before I flash something. (This is good info to have in the OP in some form.)

you need a linux computer and the android sdk to develope and the adb drivers installed.
After following this guide, my GGC became bricked
MfgTool would stop at "Formatting op6 partition" before showing me "Update error -65535-" and after unplugging/plugging back in it shows up as "Linux File-Stor Gadget" and I can't access it from Windows because it says "Please insert a disk into drive X:" (I changed the drive letter so I wouldn't get confused)
It turns on but doesn't get past the Philips logo. I tried repairing it with songbird but I always ends with an unexplained error.
I tried flashing it with mateo1212's OriginalRooted and AndroidGeneric roms as well as the original GGC3 rom found in C:/Program Files/Philips/Philips Songbird Resources/Firmware/SA3CNT/SA3CNT.zip (extracted the archive to MfgTool/Profiles and named it SA3CNT) and still no luck, ending in the same error mentioned above.
Can anyone help? Philips is already sending me a replacement (I played dumb with them) but if I could save this one it would be great...
Can anyone help me with this? I`m doing everything as the instructions say, but the MfgTool wont update the rom.
It starts working on the device, but gets stuck on error message (operation time out). After that it starts all over by itself.
One possible reason could be that the mfgtool version provided here was not working properly on my win7 (64bit). To solve this I downloaded another version of the program form the authors website.
The reason I had to change version was that the mfgtool crashed everytime I entered the "configuration" menu and the "usb ports" submenu.
All the help is much appreciated!

Hi,
I also want to change rom but after reading you, I'm afraid now.
Have you take a look to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396085
It says on the first post that:
I Have Figured out how to unbrick and flash this device if you have Messed it up while having root privileges. this method can also be used to install custom roms once some are made. if people need the repair/flash method or wanna work on roms let me know in the comments and i will post the files and guides needed for it.

I am new to this forum and normally would not dream of rooting so I have printed the instructions and thoughly read them. I wish to use the Original ROM rooted and with bloatware removed. I understand the instructions except for step 8. How do I install the driver?
Anyone know why some people report failure and bricked devices? I would hate for this to go wrong!
Where is everyone?

Hi, just follow the guideline it will be ok, as to step 8, in the device manager you should right click the SE Blank ELVIS and manually install the driver, wait a moment it will successfully install the driver, after that you can follow next step.
By the way, I just flashed under Win7 64, everything went smoothly when just follow the guideline. Thank you mateo1212!
For people with bricks because of this
PPl don't be scared if you get bricked, i try at first and i got bricked, my device was in a loop and did not start, at the beginning just was showing a black screen then i tried to turn it on and it was in a loop. But i manage to recover it! This is what i did to recover it:
Download the mfgtool provided in this post.
Download the android files to flash provided also here
Put the device in flash mode or whatever is called the state when you power on the device with the volume up key pressed. ( for me this was specially hard since it was doing a loop, what i did was to push the reset button with a needle, then as soon as release the reset, push the power button and the volume up, and then connect the usb cable... create your own way to do it, just keep in mind you need to have your device booted in this kind of service mode ( vol up and power) before proceed.
Then just click on start and wait... it did it successfully this time...
Obviously you need to put your rom folder in profiles and everything just as explained in this guide.
THANKS, I UPDATED MY DEVICE WITH ROOT! :cyclops:

In my case it failed just after it erase everything with no reason, however the same method worked the second time so i think is not risky to try, you are going to be able to install it eventually following this method. For more info see my other post. Cheers.

[Q] 2.3.6 OTA can lock my atrix 2 to AT&T? (My carrier is Orange ISRAEL).

Hello anyone,
I bought Motorola Atrix 2 (v2.3.5) from eBay and he was lock to AT&T.
After I got the mobile phone the seller gave me a code to unlock my phone to any GSM carrier.
I saw that there is new update to my phone (2.3.6), If I will update my software my phone can be unlock to AT&T? Or there is no connection between this two things?
You're fine. Sim lock is unaffected by android firmware updates.

Yes it is safe.
I transfer the update file "sdcard-Blur_Version.55.13.26.MB865.ATT.en.US.zip" to the micrdSD card and guided by this tutorial h X X p://w w w .motorola.com/Support/US-EN/Android_Products/ATRIX-2_Software_Update_workround
I go to System updates but no message was popup (according to the tutorial there is popup message named "Copy".
I read the FAQ
If unable to recognize the upgrade package
It is possible that the SD card package was renamed.
The downloaded file must be saved exactly as it appears (do not rename the file)
Ensure it does not have two extensions .zip.zip
Misnamed due to multiple downloads- i.e, update(1).zip
The downloaded file might not be located in root folder
It must be at the top level of the Micro SD card, it cannot be in a sub-folder.
The file may have been only partially downloaded
Full file size should be ~ 45 MB
Please ensure you delete a partially download file and follow the appropriate steps to start the process again.
There is another software package already placed at the top level of the Micro SD card.
Please ensure all software packages were deleted before uploading the upgrade package into your Micro SD card
Phone was not properly disconnected after uploading the upgrade package into your Micro SD card.
Unmount your Micro SD Card from your computer
For Windows, select the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the System Tray, then select Safely remove USB Mass Storage Device, you will see a notification stating Safe To Remove Hardware
For MACs, select the Eject button in the Finder next to the SD Card Device
Turn off USB Drive from device
Pull down the Notification bar at the top of the screen and then Touch the “USB connection” notification USB connection
In the "USB connection" dialogue tap "Charge Only" and then tap OK button.

pleaz help!
I was in the same situation. It looks like you can't update from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 from SD card. Fortunately for me OTA did work and I am with stock rooted 2.3.6 now.
So I suggest you to try OTA again.
Try this: Boot into recovery, From recovery menu, select apply update from sdcard, select update file and let it run.
Manual updation only works by Rebooting Device
If you want to update to 2.3.6 through SD card than you must have to apply the update through rebooting and using three button method to go to recovery mode.
One more thing, update through SD card works only when OTA update gives you a message that "Update Failed"
The manual method is made only for those who are facing "Update Failed" message after updating through OTA method.

You can use that thread also, but I found that whole method a little bit clumsy.
So i searched the net and other threads and I found another simple method to do it.
Search over the net for A2ROOT.zip
You can root your phone through this and this works for 2.3.5 as well as 2.3.6
So i prefer that you first manually update through SD card and then download A2ROOT.zip and extract it on your PC's hard drive and run the 'click-to-root' and you are ready to go.....
But before unrooting make sure to Enable USB debugging and Allow installation of non-android market applications.

To go to recovery mode :
1. Turn off your phone
2. Press Volume UP + Volume Down + Power key at once and hold all the three keys for 2-3 seconds
3. You will see 4 options now, 2nd of which is Recovery Mode.
4. Go to Recovery mode by pressing volume down key once and select it by pressing volume up key.
For WiFi issue, give your phone a reboot.
The update stuck at 35% so I reboot the device and the downloading continue. The 2.3.6 update was install successfully but now I see popup

If you've got 55.13.25 successfully installed, I think you're good. You can just delete the update from your sdcard.

Ok I did it. Thank you very much!!!
Yes I suffering from 3G problem.
Actually I found workaround by using "network" by Phillip Mangelow application from market .
This application allows you to force network to 3G only (ATT blocked this option from settings).
Just remember if you force 3G you will lost connection in areas with low 3G signal.
And yes I am israely but I think we can't switch to hebrew on this forum

[Resolved] Titans2 Doogee DG700 Android 5.0 Lollipop Repartition/Root/Recovery/Xposed workshop

UPDATE:
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!
From the moment I bought this phone, I only had problems:
-Facebook always freezing/hanging/lagging when I'm talking to someone that is talking at the same time (had to revert to Android 4.4 to fix this).
-Battery could not handle the heat of the "waterproof" phone and eventually bloated, becoming so swollen that I had to buy a new one.
-Back cover's cheap plastic snapping bits eventually broke as well, had to replace the back cover and order a new one (and one snap broke again).
-Phone was never waterproof, tiny droplets of water could get in from the microphone whenever it was humid and the phone was useless when it happened
-"Shockproof" phone fell from a height of one meter while I was cycling and now the touchscreen is completely unresponsive, even in recovery... completely dead
-Supposedly solid touchscreen cracked real bad at 2 places after I inadvertently put my keys in the same pocket
-The fake plastic chrome in the back gets all scratched and chipped as it's the first thing that touches any surface.
-I suspect this phone of having corrupted and ruin 2 genuine sdcards that I had to replace. Thank you for SanDisk warranty!!
Now all I have is a very expensive clock with a screen that I can just turn on and off. Go look somewhere else than Doogee to buy a phone. I dropped my old LG-P500 from the third floor when I hung the sheets while my phone was in there, dropped a cheap Mediatek Cubot down the stairs and both worked perfectly after. But a stupid shockproof phone can't survive a one meter fall
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THIS PHONE
Best way to use it is to revert back to Kit Kat. Believe us (Several XDA members and me), Android 5.0, even with the backport fixes is unresponsive, slow and sluggish.
tvladan made a guide for the best way to repartition + root + custom recovery + xposed your phone on post #239:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63260626&postcount=239
OLD POST:
This thread is a work in progress for the DG700 to get better partitions, root access, a custom recovery, the Xposed framework and fix memory leaks.
We are still improving it, here's what we have so far:
4GB internal storage partition --> OK
6GB internal storage partition --> IN PROGRESS
Root access with Kingroot --> OK
Root access with Super SU --> OK
Custom Recovery --> OK
Xposed framework --> OK
Custom ROM with black theme --> IN PROGRESS
Credits:
All this has been made possible by the common efforts of XDA members tvladan, Nudeldampf, Pepo1980, mikaelbrostrom, lunito.
ROM was made by Yalita35254
Recovery was ported from yuweng's TWRP by Hanuma50
Xposed framework was developped by rovo89
The bootanimation memory leak was fixed by arter97
The ColorFade memory leak was fixed by tonyp
Make sure to click "thanks" to these awesome people if you see their posts!
Disclaimer:
Of course, none of the listed people and me are responsible if you break your device completely. However, during the test phase I have flashed well over 80 times total and many times thought I killed my phone definitely, but it was always ok. Flashing is so easy nowadays, and you can pretty much always recover from any mistake by reflashing everything. If your phone is not detected anymore by the flashing software, unplug the phone, remove its battery and wait a few seconds before retrying.
Guide:
Step 0, getting ready:
If you just want a rooted phone with a minimal footprint that will still be easily update-able via the phone's "Wireless update", go on page 2 for a guide to simply root the phone.
When you make ANY operation in SP Flash Tool, PHONE MUST BE OFF AND ONLY CONNECT YOUR PHONE AFTER YOU CLICK THE "START" OR "DOWNLOAD" BUTTONS
If your device is undetected in SP Flash Tool, unplug and remove the battery then try again.
You don't have to do all the steps, depending if you just want a repartition, a root, or the whole package
Don't try to skip steps by flashing the rooted /system partition and custom recoveray at the same time, it will not work
Make sure you have at least 80% battery, just to be sure. Flashing takes a lot of juice, especially the first boot that will show a white logo with full brightness for a while
Step 1, Download drivers and open command window:
Download the VCOM USB Drivers attached in this post, extract them, then open a command windows in Administrator mode like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Step 2, Install the drivers:
Change the directory to the location of the auto-installer and execute install.bat:
Step 3, Verify driver:
To verify if the drivers are OK, turn your phone off and plug it in your computer. You should hear the familiar Windows chime when a new device was plugged in. The Command Window should look like this after the installation:
Step 4, Download the ROM and rooted system:
Download both the 4GB of internal storage repartitioned ROM and rooted Android in this package
You will have to flash the ROM and the rooted /system partition in different steps, so follow the guide and don't try anything to skip steps.
Step 5, Format your phone accordingly:
Download SP Flash Tool v5.1352.01, extract and open flash_tool.exe
You must then format your phone to make it work with the customized re-partitioned ROM by entering these values in the Format tab:
0x0000000045F80000
0x000000018CC80000
Then make sure your phone is DISCONNECTED AND TURNED OFF, click start, wait a second or two and connect your phone. Let SP Flash Tool do its magic until you see the success popup
Step 6, Select the scatter file:
In the Download tab, select the scatter file from the r21 ROM you just downloaded to load all the partitions in SP Flash Tool
Step 7, Flash the repartitioned ROM:
After SP Flash tool finished the checkups, make sure all the settings are the same as the 1st screenshot, then with your phone DISCONNECTED AND TURNED OFF, click Download, wait a few seconds and plug your phone. Download shoud start
Step 8, Initial Android boot:
When you see the success message from SP flash tool, disconnect your phone and turn it on to set up your android. Keep SP Flash tool opened for the next step
THE FIRST BOOT WILL TAKE A VERY LONG TIME, encrypting your /data and FAT partitions, then seeming frozen in the white screen for 20+ minutes. BE PATIENT.
While your phone is booting, you can prepare for the next step.
Step 9, Flash the rooted Android (optional if you want to stop here):
If you just want the repartitioned and don't care about root (yeah, right!), you can stop here. If not, click on the ANDROID partition in SP Flash Tool to select the rooted partition that was included in the package you downloaded.
Make sure only this partition is selected like in the screenshot, then with your phone DISCONNECTED AND TURNED OFF, click Download, wait a few seconds and plug your phone. Download shoud start
Step 10, Apply the root:
Disconnect your phone and restart. This is mandatory before going any further, Android will install SuperSU for root permissions, wait for it to finish.
Keep SP Flash tool opened for the next step.
Step 11, Flash the custom recovery (optional if you want to stop here):
Download the custom recovery (Also attached to this post) then in SP Flash Tool, click the RECOVERY partition to select the recovery you just downloaded
Make sure only this partition is selected like in the screenshot, then with your phone DISCONNECTED AND TURNED OFF, click Download, wait a few seconds and plug your phone. Download shoud start
Step 13, Fix the boot animation memory leak (optional if you want to stop here):
Lollipop has lots of memory leak, especially version 1.0. But one of the worst ones is the boot animation memory leak that XDA member arter97 describes as being due to the memory allocated to play the previous frame is not released.
This can end up in an unstable Android system because of core services being killed due to insufficient memory, or sometimes even in boot loops that you must end by removing your battery (happened to me a few times). Fortunately, he fixed this and posted the solution.
13.1 Get the new binaries to fix that problem, make sure you get version 2:
13.2 Make a backup of file /system/bin/bootanimation. I use and recommend ES File Explorer. Make sure you turn on root explorer to see the system files like such:
13.2 Replace the bootanimation file with the one you downloaded. The one for our phone is this one in the zip package:
bootanimation_v2.zip\aosp\32bit\bootanimation
13.3 Make sure the owner, group and persmissions are the same as the original bootanimation file. It should be the same as on my phone:
Step 14, Download and Install the Xposed Framework (optional if you want to stop here):
If you want the Xposed framework, get the Xposed Installer and the SDK from the official Xposed Lollipop post
14.1 Download these 2 files and copy them on your SD card:
XposedInstaller_XXX.apk
xposed-vXX-sdk21-arm.zip (sdk22 is for Android 5.1)
14.2 Reboot your phone in recovery:
Power off phone or reboot
When the screen is black, before the DG700 logo appears, hold VOLUME-UP and "POWER" button together until you see a black and white menu
Move the cursor to the first menu item (recovery) with the VOLUME-UP button, then select by pressing the VOLUME-DOWN button
14.3 Once You are in your newly installed custom recovery, tap install:
14.3 Select the xposed-vXX-sdk21-arm.zip file from your SD card and swipe the handle at the bottom to accept
14.4 Once done, reboot and go in settings->security and activate Unkown Sources:
14.5 Navigate to where you downloaded the XposedInstaller_XXX.apk file with ES Explorer (or any other way) and install the Xposed application.
Step 15, Fix the Color Fade memory leak (optional):
One of the worst memory leaks of Android 5.0.x is the Color Fade memory leak that causes memory to pile up every time you turn the screen off.
This has been fixed by XDA member tonyp, with his Xposed module that follows the official Android 5.1 patch, available on in the Xposed repository or visa the Play Store:
I'm not 100% sure if Doogee's r21 has fixed this issue, but activating this module will either fix the leak, or change nothing. Better safe than sorry. If I get any confirmation that we don't need it, I will remove this step
Post-Notes:
To make changes to system apps, you can use the following tools. I recommend using these to avoid a boot loop or applications "closing unexpectedly":
Delete system app with Titanium Backup (System application manager corrupted my system)
Integrate updates into system with System application manager (Titanium Backup just shows the loading animation forever)
Convert user applications to system applications with System application manager (Titanium Backup just shows the loading animation forever)
If you wish to install Doogee's r24 update, you cannot do it with the recovery as it will end up in a boot loop. You must use this technique explained by mikaelbrostrom on page 22 of this thread. I did not include these steps here as I did not test it and don't have the screenshots.
If you want to backup all phone, it seems that MTK Droid Tool is not working properly and XDA member lunito has found a way to backup all your phone with some hacks described on page 23 of this thread, using this technique. I did not include these steps here as I did not test it and don't have the screenshots.
anybody...?
Is it still unavailable?
it seems that it has not been done yet ... I just got mine with lolipop and I am also waiting for a root method ...
It seems like this guy managed to do it with vRoot/iRoot:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...00-unboxing-hands-t2953664/page3#post59997977
but it did not work with me, either with the latest version of iRoot or an older version. And that was with a Vanilla installation of the latest Android 5.0 from the Doogee website. I asked the guy which version of iRoot he used, but no answer..
Yea but as I understand what he wrote there, he flashed back to KitKat and than rooted the phone, which we know was possible. (Flash back to Android KitKat that's the title of his post) I would like to keep Lolipop and have my phone rooted since it came with some bloatware installed and I need to install some apps that need root privileges. I guess it's a matter of waiting for somebody with the proper knowledge to root it with Lolipop installed. Doogee DG700 users please keep this thread alive until a proper root method for Lolipop is posted. Thanks
Oh yes, you're right, I did not read correctly as usual..
Well, let's hope a hacker cannot live with an unrooted DG700 and fixes that

Heya!
Is it me or nobody found a way to root the Doogoo Titans2 DG700 that has Android 5.0?
There are guides everywhere for KitKat, but it seems like Lollipop 5.0 is more robust and nobody cracked it yet.. It probably means that there is no CWM Recovery for the MTK6582 either huh?
Anyone found info on the subject? Google has not been cooperative and I cannot find anything on xda. I don't think I can live with a phone that has no root and no Xposed framework hehe!
Thank ya!

That's great news! Now, how do I get this old version of Vroot?
Be careful guys, my phone is completely messed up:
-Cannot uninstall any apps as "settings" app crashes
-Cannot open google play store, even after clearing data
-Google play services keeps crashing all the time
-App "superCleaner" got installed and I cannot uninstall it, even with an uninstaller as it comes back after reboot
Dang...sorry about that...are you sure its from the root procedure? Mine works ok...I also checked it with root checker...Green results.

Haha don't worry it's not your fault!
Trying to reset phone right now, will see what happens. If still broken, will reinstall lollipop completely.
I will then try the procedure again and post updates here. Might not finish today though, getting late here

No probs!
I managed to re-flash, re-partition and re-root. All works well and I see the storage space increased, but after the initial setup, the phone enters into a boot loop if I restart.. No idea why. I'm trying to figure out why and when it works perfectly, I'll post the correct vRoot with the EBR1 and EBR2 files in case people want to repartition as well.
In the meantime, if anybody has an idea why it would boot loop, go ahead and tell me.
I'll try it too and post results ASAP. Meanwhile, i did some trying with IRoot en version, did not work but got some suspicious apps installed, also my PC antivirus found the software suspicious. After 2 failed root attempts from iRoot I managed to uninstall the apps that it installed on my phone. Did some reading on the internet and found some troubeleing accusations regarding the vRoot / iRoot software installing crap on users phones. I'll still try rooting with this older version of vRoot and see what happens.
Ok I give up.. I don't know enough about Android. I really don't know why my phone is working perfectly after repartitioning until the first restart after initial setup where it ends up into a boot loop.. I asked help to another XDA member, Elizabeth, who has very good knowledge in repartitioning. Hopefully she can help.
So of all I wanted to do:
1-Repartition for bigger data partition to have more apps (10 apps and phone is already full???)
2-Install a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP
3-Root the phone
4-Install XPosed
All I managed to do was root.. everything else not working but I will still give you guys what I used in case you want to mess with it and can manage to get it working
1-Repartitioning
I attached the files I tried to flash
4GB.rar for a 4GB data partition
6GB.rar for a 6GB partition
And I also included the original one from Doogee for Android 5.0 in case you want to try on your own. I never managed to flash using the scatter file. Every time I was flashing the EBR files with the original scatter file and it seemed to work well, until the first reboot. I created my EBR files with this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/howto-modify-ebr-mediatek-devices-t2769604
And tried using these EBR files:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2455850
But they all resulted in the same boot loop after the first time I restarted the phone (so if you never, ever restart, it works great )
2-Custom recovery
I got a custom recovery from that thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-0-doogee-titans2-t3115515
and I also attached it here. However it is of course not working either, cannot even get into recovery.
3-Root the phone
Just used the VRoot I attached. I rooted my phone about 9999 times with all the flash I did in the past 36 hours and it usually works on the first/second try, except now that I have reinstalled all my apps and after about 10 times GRRR! So just keep trying, it will work eventually. If after 3 tries it's not working, delete the "KingUser" and "supercleaner" apps, try again 2-3 times, rinse and repeat. I was just unlucky that last time.
4-Install XPosed
I did not even get that far since I never was able to install a custom recovery.. There is a guide on how to install the new alpha version for Lollipop and it doesn't seem very hard:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
That's it! Good luck and I hope we'll have more help to put more details and a better guide
Thanks a lot so far! I'll try this tomorrow after work when I have more time
First, sorry for the late reply!
Maybe I'm missing something, but all I get from Vroot is the error 0x000007d1 with "no device found" USB Debugging is enabled and I've installed the universal ADB drivers, can access my phone storage from the Windows explorer, but vroot just won't work.
So, I've tried several things and several adb and mtp drivers on two different computers, but Windows is still telling me that is has no correct driver for MTP. And vroot just keeps telling me it can't find the device and giving me the "helping" text of "USB_DEBUG", which basically opens a link to their forum explaing on how to enable USB Debugging - which I have enabled.
What the hell am I doing wrong?
Hey any one tell me how to root ASUS_T00Q 5.0 lollipop

[Guide] How to Root Cube T8 Plus

Hi
I found a russian site how to root the Cube T8 Plus h**p://4pda.ru/forum/lofiversion/index.php?t695306.html. Here a short translation:
Disclaimer: ******* I'm not responsible for any damages *******
1. Download SuperSu directly to your Cube T8 from official site: h**p://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
2. Download Flash Utility/Driver on your PC: h**p://uploaded.net/file/eyo5yt8c
3. Download TWRP for Cube T8 on your PC: h**p://uploaded.net/file/o54jinin and extract its content to a folder.
Mirror: https://drive.google.com/drive/fold...ourcekey=0-11J8nUVn2_sUUAPHA9kwWg&usp=sharing
4. Install Device Driver from Step 2. on your PC (you have to agree Security warning). Depending on Windows version used, disabling Driver Signing might be required prior installation.
5. Start flash_tool.exe
6. Go to "Download" tab and Click "Scatter-Loading" Button, move to folder created in Step 3. and select the file "MT6753_Android_scatter.txt". Press the "Download" Button
7. Power down your Cube T8 tablet. After power down, connect it to a USB Port on your PC (No, you don't need to power it up - leave it powered down!). After a few moments, the flash tool should recognise the tablet and will install twrp recovery and should show "Success" Screen
8. Remove tablet from PC. Boot into Boot Selection by pressing Volume-Up and Power button simultaneously, Select "Recovery" and wait for twrp booting up.
9. In twrp, Install Zip File downloaded on Step 1. This should be found in Folder "MyFavorite"
10. Reboot device. By selecting "Reboot" in twrp, the device will hang. But don't worry; just press the power button for about 10 seconds for a forced reboot.
11. Voilà, you have a rooted Cube T8 Plus
Thanks for the guide. Can you provide more mirror? Uploaded is currently blocked in my country. Google Drive would be sweet.
Thanks.
Anybody tried this?
It works perfectly, but I had to disable the driver's signature check.
Now I just need the modified scatter file to get a better memory repartition. These russian guys on pda.ru found out how to repartition the memory, but the file is now disappeared from internet http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=695306&st=560#entry44767726
Yes !
it worked for me but i didnt succeed in installing the right driver (package given in this post was correctly installed) for tablet in off mode,
so i had to force download of recovery and if SuperSU install (with error) when i launch it it warn for binary installation.
but root is effective and i can now use soft like adaway or else that need complete root access :victory:

That's weird, it worked flawlessly for me.
By the way, the internal 2 GB storage is way to small for me, I need a bigger partition and since the 4pda guys deleted their scatter files, I'm trying to create it by myself following this guide, I hope to not mess up things
Ok, I found the scatter editor (that was deleted too). Here you can download it. OP, if you want, you can add it in the guide.
Thanks for your feedback and your work Dyonysus, i assume all errors was consecutive to Kingroot installation (he didn't succeed in rooting but i left it installed when i flashed the recovery as i checked sometmes if a root policy was avaible)
This root guide can be used for Cube T8 also?
I also confirm this method works perfectly. Good job finding this.

So, have you succeeded in repartitioning the internal memory? If yes, did you face any issues or errors in the process and is the device stable and working as fast afterwards?

Unfortunately I didn't. I got a bunch of problems tryin' to forge the new scatter file and, when I finally got a decent one, the damn tool didn't flash it properly.
If someone could find those two files or just ask those russian guys to upload them again, it'd be terrific.
Hi,
This post is a subject to change (grow), since I will keep it as a record for my tips for this fine tablet.
Installation of TWRP recovery and increasing /data partition (YES! That's possible)
I've succeeded getting TWRP, root and larger /data partition, so after screenshot I'll put detailed how-to. Sorry for duplicating first post, but I'd like to have everything in one place in the way I exactly did it.
Warning: this method seems to be blocked in some newer OS updates, see this post for reference: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64801688&postcount=25

You need SD card for that.
Cube T8 Plus TWRP and root:
1. Download SuperSu and copy it to the root of SD card (without extracting): http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
2. Downlad Utility/Driver to PC: http://uploaded.net/file/eyo5yt8c
3. Download Cube T8 TWRP recovery to PC: http://uploaded.net/file/o54jinin and unpack.
4. Install driver on PC. Depending on Windows version, if the driver installation fails, it may be necessary to disable signature check (google for that).
5. Run flash_tool (downloaded in step 2). If it doesn't run, try copy it to the root folder of your hard drive, eg. C:\SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1516.00\, albo D:\SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1516.00\
6. In "Download" section choose "Scatter-Loading" point to "MT6753_Android_scatter" from /Recovery (downloaded in step 3), press "Download" button.
7. Turn off the tablet. Connect it via USB to PC (tablet needs to be switched off!). After short while, flashing tool should recognize the tablet and start flashing automatically, installing TWRP recovery. After that you should get "Success" screen.
8. Disconnect tablet from PC. Run it in Recovery by pressing VOLUME_UP and POWER simultanously.
9. Using VOLUME_UP, choose "Recovery" and confirm it by pressing "VOLUME_DOWN". Wait untill TWRP starts.
10. In TWRP choose 'install ZIP' and point to "/external sd/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip"
11. After installation is finished, choose "Reboot". Recovery will hang, but do not fear Press Power for 10s to force turn off. Then turn on the tablet.
Your tablet is now rooted!
Change partition size:
1. Download and copy to the root of SD (without extracting) Resize_v22.4.1-signed.zip: (take attachment from the first post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/rooting-roms/guide-how-to-resize-data-internal-t3180978/ )
2. Run the tablet in Recovery by pressing VOLUME_UP and POWER simultanously.
3. Using VOLUME_UP, choose "Recovery" and confirm it by pressing "VOLUME_DOWN". Wait untill TWRP starts.
4. In TWRP choose 'install ZIP' and point to "external sd/Resize_v22.4.1-signed.zip""
5. In one of following windows choose the partition size. I recommend between 8GB and 10GB. WARNING: If you choose less than the current size, you may loose your data. More than or equal to 8GB is a safe value.
Enabling Multiuser accounts:
1. The device must be rooted
2. Use any root explorer to edit /system/build.prop.
3. Add to the end of a file:
Code:
fw.show_multiuserui=1
fw.max_users=5
4. Reboot
Info: After first try to swich to guest the device force rebooted, but then it worked well.
Disabling killing background apps
If you encounter situation in which apps are being killed right after they are put to background (each application switch using recent apps causes application reinitialization), just make sure that Developer Options/Apps/Don't keep activities is switched off!
Permamently disabling pre-installed chinese apps (they will not reappear after full reboot)
There are 6 chinese apps pre-installed, which can be easily disabled. You can try to simply uninstall them, but you'll find that after full reboot they reappear.
So the best way to disable them is to use any root explorer and get rid APKs in /system/vendor/operator/app. I myself renamed app folder to app.old. They do not appear anymore.
What to do if tablet seems to be dead (black screen - no reaction), but it just misbehaves
Couple of times I've had a situation in which the screen was blank and I couldn't wake up the device. I could however run recovery, so the first time I performed reset from recovery and it helped.
Next time I found out that it's automatic brightness that fails and causes the screen to go blank. So the solution is to press power button, make a swipe gesture from the top to show brightness slider (you will not see it, but it works even on the lockscreen), and try to blindly press this slider. It should be about 2,7 cm (1,06 inch) from the top, with ca. 3cm (1,2 inch) margins on the left and right. Then stop using autobrightness with slider set to zero.
Thanks a ton
Amazing , followed your instructions and my tablet is now rooted and also has 9+GB of data partition. Thanks a ton.. Keep up the good work.
--Rao:
after using the resize script it not remount the partition and android not start. Android ask for a password to "decrypt data" but the problem is that the partition is missing.
Any suggest about this?
thanks
For the moment i can resize partition up to 6 gb using a edited scatter file
Please can I use this safely on the original Cube T8?
