[Q] HTC vodafone uk magic, HOW to ROOT to android 2.2

Please can someone/anyone give me step by step instructions on how to update and root my HTC android 1.6 UK vodafone branded mobile communications device,

HTC Desire s (europe) S-ON how

Dear Friends,
Need help !! i have desire s (europe) unbranded , i did root with revolutionary , all is fine except i want to update to sense 3 either by original ruu or go back to its own 2.3.3 version sense 2.1.
i did install ruu of v.3 but it refused to restart just got stuck on HTC screen , did try removing battery and rstarting but no use..now i am back to its original 2.1 but still have s-Off and when i download update to v.3 same story goes on it just stays on HTC..
How can i update or turn s-on ?
help but in detail apprected as i am just new to android !!

[Q] plz help sensation xe branded or unbranded (ics update)

Hi Every1,
i think my sensation xe is unbranded cuz it dont have any vodfone logo or any carrier bloatware but stil it only takes vodafone sim, i have tried all uk sims but it wont work on ne. i am bit confused its unbranded but locked 2 voda & wen i check its cid it says carrier htc-wwe.. ok dats bit confusin & i have no idea dat if me gona get update from vodafone which already out or from htc

WWE CID unbranded or not?

Hmm, just got an One S (S3) for my wife and it's Vodafone branded.
However, using CIDGetter i see:
ro.carrier: HTC-EastEurope
ro.cid: HTC__032
...032 being a WWE CID?! Aren't those for unbranded only?
It's running 4.0.3 and doesn't find any OTA...
Is there a 4.0.4 for the S3 out there? Besides Taiwan getting 4.1 since a couple of days

can i run the 4.0.4 / Sense 4.1 RUU on this phone?

[Q] Installing SuperXE on HTC Sensation XE with brand

Hi all,
I'm a newbye of HTC modding. I've an HTC Sensation XE with Beats audio branded by TIM (Italian carrier).
It has
PYRAMIN PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT 1.27.000
I've installed the lasted official updates:
Android: 4.0.3
Sense: 3.6
Sw version: 3.32.901.151
Band base: 11.69A.3503.00U_11.23.3504-07_M2
Build number: 3.32.901.151 CL353154
I would like to try SuperXE ROM.
Can anybody tell me what steps to do.. and maybe how?
I tried to find some info on this thread and on google... but not a real guide, so I don't want to brick my phone at first attempp
I.E.
- Have I just to unlock bootloader trough htcdev website or also s-off it via ControlBear and the wire trick?
- Have I to upgrade my firmware at 3.33 or my 3.32 is ok? If yes, how and where I can find it?
- What recovery have I to flash after all from where to flash SuperXE?
- Any other hints?
