V6 supercharger script works great! - Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G

Hey guys
So after I rooted and installed clockwork and I erased all the crap, and there is lots of it on our phones.
It was a lot smoother but not to my liking.
But after I ran the v6 script its night and day there is no stutter or hesitation at all... I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this my wife has a galaxy s2 with the same script running. But the blaze just feel smoother and faster.
Try it out let me know if you guys need any help

Which V6 options did you use?

It's the 1000hp 9 I think
Sent from my SGH-T769 using xda premium

Did you also set the On-Boot script?

yeah use script manager go to /data and scroll down you will see a file 99supercharger.sh click it select root and boot and like run the close the script and rerun the original script and you should be all good to go

Hey, how did you install this script into your phone?

Google v6 supercharger download the script file ends in .sh
Then in install busybox from the market v1.82 then script manager also in the market
Put the v6 script on the root of your sd card, open script manager find the v6.sh file and click on it then click run as root and follow the instructions on the screen..
Let me know if you need more help
I will also going to make videos on how is done and other things

Does the script stick or do you have to run it after every reboot?

Thanks for the tip radiohead! The phone is definitely snappier. I mostly followed the directions on the supercharger script post and had no errors.

Can you post a detail or possibly a video on how to change the supercharger script? I'd like to try this out. Thanks!

Yeah I will make a video how to load the v6 script also the cm9 port will be released sometime this week please don't ask for any eta.. remember its a beta so only report real bugs...

Wifi tweak on the X10. (Moved to development)

Hey guys I got a tweak from wolfs Rom working on my x10 that increases the signal greatly. Watch the how to video here.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy0r-o1Bh9Q&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I now have over a 10000 kbps connection just like his in the video. Pretty cool.
First step unzip the file in your sd card then open the file via root explorer
Next go into system/etc/init.d and copy the modules script using root explorer.
Next go to your system on the actual phone (not the sd card) then go.to etc then find the folder called init.d. (if you dont have it flash this via recovery) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236446
Then place modules in the init folder.
Next go back to your sd card where the 4.0.4 thing is and go into system*etc and copy the entire. Install sh recovery folder then go back to the actual phone and go to.system/etc and just paste it there and select yes if it asks u to overwrite something.
Finally find the install recovery thing
you just copied and click it once and press execute.
Then your done.
How to test if it worked. Before u do the tweak download speed test from the market and test your current wifi speed. After tweak test it again. Note it may require a reboot.
Get it here. http://www.datafilehost.com/get.php?file=a18d42a6

you do realize that overwriting install-recovery.sh will overwrite any other init.d scripts the person might have and also any tweaks put in there by the dev (if you are using it on any other rom than wolfbreaks)?
You shouldn't be advising people to do stuff like this without at least warning them about what they're doing.

V6

Hey everyone. I am running the newest infinity ROM. I was wondering if like GBE 2.1 I have to apply the script on boot or if the settings will stick
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA App
I was wondering also, but I think (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong)
since we don't have a source built kernel there is no support for init.d where I beleive the file to make v6 stick is located. In the mean time I've been using auto memory manger from market which does the same without the kernel tweaks. That app does stick through reboot.
Sent from InfinityROM using xda premium
Also, if your getting redraw, which lead me to v6, this tweak is the best answer to that. In terminal emulator:
Type: su
Hit: enter
Type: echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1>/data/local.prop
Hit: enter
Type: reboot
This locks whatever launcher into memory, I've never seen a redraw after doing this. To undo it just delete the local.prop file in data and reboot. Hope this helps.

Simply use root explorer to make a new folder in /etc labeled init.d, run the script and the file will show up in there. Then set that file to run at boot.

imoseyon kernel supports init.d. It's the main reason I run it.

V6 Supercharger for ICS

I was wondering if anyone has tweaked the services.jar for the v6 supercharger for the g2x? I'm running it now but still get USB connection errors. I downloaded an "updated" version of the script and ended up bricking my phone and losing all the data on my SD card. If anyone is interested and have the time then please let me know. And if this is in the wrong section... my bad and feel free to delete or move it.

I actually had the same problem when I ran the 'ics" version of the v6 supercharger, but fortunately I didn't lose the data on my SD card. I just got stuck in a bootloop after it restarted so I just had to do a restore from my nand backup (thankfully I backed it up first : D ). I'm running Hellfire 1.2 with the kernel it came with and haven't had any issues other than the common cm9 issues that have been mentioned. It's good to hear that someone else has it working on Hellfire so I'll try it again from the link

Well It work on me, you have to follow every step on the script.
If it tells you to reboot even though you havent finish all do it, then come back to the
Script Manager and finish where you left of..
All of the services.jar that are posted on the guide are for different phones running different ics. I was looking for a patched services.jar file specifically made for cm9 for the g2x. That is all.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
I'm able to run pretty much any CM9 services.jar on my milestone.
Try the THS CM9 - it's done by me and it's worked on alot of different devices.
That's the one I'm currently using but every time I reboot my phone initializes my apps and when it gets to the home screen an error pops up saying "select an application for the USB device. %1$s is not responding. Would you like to close it" Any ideas on fixing that zepp?
Edit- I was just pushing the services.jar file with root explorer. Then I cooked it into the rom and reflashed it and now no errors. Still says it breaking strict mode policy on boot up but no more USB connection errors.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
So it doesn't initialize the apps on boot anymore, right?
Yeah doing the permissions usually fixes that.
I'm not sure that I know what that strict mode policy error is tho.
It also seems that the text on buttons don't always say the correct word... so it would indeed be better if you had your rom's services.jar patched.
It doesn't initialize anymore but it does say the strict mode policy thing. And I tried to patch my services.jar for the cm9 selfkang3 rom but I cant seem to do it right. Is there anyway I can upload the file and you patch it for me?

[MOD] OC on boot via INIT.D Fixed update.zip

now that we have Init.d support in our boot.img i have been tinkering around with loading coolbho's overclock modules on boot so i don't have to go to caremy computer or use clunky smanager app to run my .sh
well I had some time today to sit down and iron out the kinks and everything is working this will only work on your phone if you are using a boot.img that supports INIT.D
Cleanrom has this by default as do other roms available.. if you want init.d support download the boot.img's by scrosler for the init.d support
Changlog:
06/05/12
Added run-parts to system/xbin
added sysinit to system/bin
Revamped /system/etc/init.d/30cpu
placed OC module somewhere the system can reach it
Fixed updaterscript
6/6/12
Added scroslers updated .zip
He was kind enough to fix the permissions in the updater script
Added to op
This mod will ONLY LOAD THE MODULE
You MUST set your max clock up to 1.8ghZ
This mod just loads the krait_oc.ko and enables the undervolt settings called for by coolbho in his original thread
Attached to this post you will find the mod.
how to install:
Download mod
place on your internal SD
reboot to recovery
flash mod
reboot to system
Reboot
set overclock to 1.8
if your overclock is not available your boot.img does not have init.d support
If you like my work hit the thanks button and make sure to swing by one of scroslers threads to thank him as well
Thanks! is this flashable? Or how do we install?

Also you can add it to pretty much any ROM with init.d support. Download cronmod's scripts and extract the script from the etc/init.d folder of the .zip. Just copy and paste the script into the init.d folder of the ROM.zip (without actually unzipping the ROM). Then flash as normal.
If there is already an a2sd type script in there, then the ROM already has it, and no need to mess with it. If it doesn't, it may have other scripts that conflict. Look for mounting scripts and the like. If you flash your modded ROM and it won't boot, you may have to remove one or more of those scripts, and/or try a different cronmod script.
If you wanna try it quick and dirty, flash a ROM, then gapps, then flash the .zip as-is from cronmod. Sometimes I get lucky and that works. At least check in the ROM's system/etc/init.d folder to see if there is an a2sd type script in there already first, though.
