I was wondering if anyone has tweaked the services.jar for the v6 supercharger for the g2x? I'm running it now but still get USB connection errors. I downloaded an "updated" version of the script and ended up bricking my phone and losing all the data on my SD card. If anyone is interested and have the time then please let me know. And if this is in the wrong section... my bad and feel free to delete or move it.

Can you post a download link for your services.jar file?

It might be eye trickery lol but it feels snappier all around but could be placebo effect too. I just know it says its running and I've been smooth with 0% lag or restarts except known cm9 issues

I actually had the same problem when I ran the 'ics" version of the v6 supercharger, but fortunately I didn't lose the data on my SD card. I just got stuck in a bootloop after it restarted so I just had to do a restore from my nand backup (thankfully I backed it up first : D ). I'm running Hellfire 1.2 with the kernel it came with and haven't had any issues other than the common cm9 issues that have been mentioned. It's good to hear that someone else has it working on Hellfire so I'll try it again from the link

You should ask a mod to move this thread to the general section, people are going to flame you for.posting a non development related thread here. Also there is a chance of a ban.

Well It work on me, you have to follow every step on the script.
If it tells you to reboot even though you havent finish all do it, then come back to the
Script Manager and finish where you left of..
All of the services.jar that are posted on the guide are for different phones running different ics. I was looking for a patched services.jar file specifically made for cm9 for the g2x. That is all.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
I'm able to run pretty much any CM9 services.jar on my milestone.
Try the THS CM9 - it's done by me and it's worked on alot of different devices.
That's the one I'm currently using but every time I reboot my phone initializes my apps and when it gets to the home screen an error pops up saying "select an application for the USB device. %1$s is not responding. Would you like to close it" Any ideas on fixing that zepp?
Edit- I was just pushing the services.jar file with root explorer. Then I cooked it into the rom and reflashed it and now no errors. Still says it breaking strict mode policy on boot up but no more USB connection errors.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
So it doesn't initialize the apps on boot anymore, right?
Yeah doing the permissions usually fixes that.
I'm not sure that I know what that strict mode policy error is tho.
It also seems that the text on buttons don't always say the correct word... so it would indeed be better if you had your rom's services.jar patched.
It doesn't initialize anymore but it does say the strict mode policy thing. And I tried to patch my services.jar for the cm9 selfkang3 rom but I cant seem to do it right. Is there anyway I can upload the file and you patch it for me?

I keep getting download unsuccessful when trying to download to my phone. This has never happened before. I even deleted some of the ROMs and mods I had in my internal sdcard (have 353MB free now) to free up space.
Is the link working properly?..I'm sitting in the same room with my wifi so my signal is excellent.
Thanks
**UPDATE**
I was able to download badass.zip to laptop so link is fine.
Downloaded Bali Kernel to phone to test if it was my phone. Downloaded Bali successfully.
Tried Badass again unsuccessfully. When I download ROM from the link it gives me a save as projectbass.zip but in notification bar it shows as download unsuccessful.
Should I manually name it project bass.zip?
it could be the host as theres a cypher u gotta type in to download it if its to much of a issue ill find a diffrent host the rom works i need to make a few tweaks here n there i think u guys will like what i did to the stock rom its pretty dope
So im sure many dev's know about the build.prop tweaks including krylon and drhonk(they just didnt have a phone to test on) so i took the liberty into modifying my own build.prop which is also in my team's rom ICBINB
im posting this build.prop for other devs or noobies to grab and look at
what ive noticed is that the values for the "sweet spot" on our phone are much different then those on other phones samsung and HTC
This is a performance mod/tweak and can turn any rom into an extremely smooth rom, basically this is ONE of the few secrets that make the ICBINB rom soo smooth but since i love our community ill release it so you can enjoy any rom with the smoothness of ICBINB
IF YOU USE ANY OF TEAM ACIDS MOD'S BE SURE TO GIVE CREDIT TO TEAM ACID ESPECIALLY THIS MOD, it WAS an ACID secret, and could have been kept secret so please be respectful of others people's work
*sigh* hope you guys dont just ditch my rom :/ LMAO!
be sure to hit thanks if its helped you
UPDATE: requested, i have made a modified build.prop for the GB users, note though that i have not tested it for GB so this was blind building however there should not be any proplems if there are let me know, you can either flash the GB rom then flash the performance zip or flash the GB rom and use a file explorer with root access to push the file manually, WHOEVER USES IT LEMME KNOW HOW IT WORKS PLEASE
UPDATE: i have found an even sweeter spot for the sgs4g, pleas enjoy even smoother, more fast and better battery saving qualities with the newly updated build.prop
If you had my low OC settings from ICBINB be aware they might cause the phone to freeze with this new build.prop im looking for new values now

Thanks alot dsexton. I have been using my own build prop with most of these tweaks in it but i have to admit i did not hit the sweet spot like u did with the values. Great job bro!!!!!!! U have enhanced this community in more ways than we can ever thank you for. Thanks for everything!

If you want an almost stock ROM but with buttery smoothness tweaks, then I suggest ICBINB.
If you want extra features not included with stock roms, and smoothness tweaks and so on, then valhalla is for you.
If you dig music, I guess audiophile roms is what you should go for.

I can't speak to gingerbread. But on Froyo if you want stock then go with ICBINB. For more customization I would susgest Audiophile Redux.

The only thing that I miss from Froyo is the wifi signal. But besides that, GB is better.
If you don't feel confident enough to upgrade to GB then don't do it. Unless you really want to learn, it's easy to do it, hard to mess up, but only if you are aware of the risks involved and really need a gingerbread feature that froyo is lacking.
Other than that, froyo is a good ROM.
Another thing is that an official GB update might be coming soon, or that's what we're all hoping for. All these leaks over the last few months only mean that samsung team is working hard getting GB ready for this device.
Its hard for me idk what guide to even follow and I dnt even know half the crap.they are sayn u know .. I want gb cause it will make my phone smoother .. and fasteer and this frroyo laggs alot and it pissses me offf!
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
i think it's fairly simple.
1. backup your SD card, you will lose your data otherwise if you follow these steps.
2. Go to download mode
3. Get KG4 ROM from the development forums.
4. Connect the phone to the computer, use ODIN provided by the rom to flash it. (KG4 forum post should have instructions on how to do that).
5. After that, flash drhonk kg4 kernel, which gives you CWM (again, use odin, there should be instructions on the forum post).
6. Boot into CWM, go to advanced, partition your sd card, 1024 and swap 0. That gives your sd card 2 partitions, one for regular data, and another for ext4 backups, so you won't get problems with ext4 conversions. Also, get to main menu of CWM, go to voodoo, and disable it. For now. Reboot.
7. Now, at this point, you have GB and it should all be working fine. Now you just need to download the latest ROM you want to flash. I recommend either ICBINB or Valhalla 1.3.2. Put the ROM on your SD card.
8. Boot into CWM, go to install zip from sdcard, choose the zip file and let it install.
9. After that, make sure voodoo is still disabled, and reboot. Let the phone idle for a few minutes, while the new ROM gets settled.
10. After that, reboot into CWM again, enable voodoo. Reboot. You'll hear a robot (Linda) talking you through the ext4 voodoo lagfix conversion. All should go fine. If you get bootloops after that, just go into CWM again and disable it.
11. Why are you still reading these steps, that was all
You shouldn't have any problems with ext4 voodoo. If for some odd reason you do, then just disable it and ask someone in the forums. It's not the end of the world if you can't enable voodoo, it'll still be a damn good phone.
Good luck.
ICBINB KJ1 is the fastest smoothest ROM I've used, and the wifi issue everyone complains about really isn't an issue. Sure it shows weak signal, but there really isn't a difference in connection speed.
And any remaining bloatware is easy to get rid of with titanium backup.

Hey guys,
I have been using Valhalla Blackedition for a while and it's been fantastic.. well that is when it's working fine. Sometimes, when i don't reboot my phone for awhile, my phone gets just jammed up and when go into text messages, I can see that my phone reloads all the names and sometimes quits out of messaging. This happens to other apps too like google search, call mode and such. I searched tons on the forum but i couldn't find any answers.
Anyone has this problem as well?

Same Problem
Hello, I had been using Valhalla Final for a while but then switched to AOSP Final due to this problem. With the AOSP Final it would never have the quiting problem and it was great but I really like the style and look of Valhalla. So I have recently switched back.
I have tried doing resets and going in to cwm to delete the Dalvik Cache and fix the permissions but its only a temporary fix. At first I thought it was cause I was using the Adrenaline Shot or switching kernels so I just flashed the rom and used it for a couple of days but no luck.
If anyone has any other suggestions or know what is causing this please let me know I appreciate it. Thanks.
Look for Gremlin Remover in the dev section. Follow directions and flash it. Then flash back. See if your problem is resolved.

I was going to post a thread about v6 supercharger, but haven't done so yet. I've been using the latest v6 supercharger for a while, and it has cured any and all random close issues. It basically changes the way memory is managed in the OS. It also makes the launcher extremely hard to kill, negating the need for the build.prop trick. All in all, I would try out the latest beta release of v6 supercharger, just follow instructions in the v6 supercharger thread (its on xda).

Gremlin Remover
Ok so I tried the 1-click gremlin remover and everything looked great. After about 12 or so hours my messages started closing again. This is really frustrating and I would like to have this fixed.
@erikmm, I would like to try what you said but I'm not sure on what you're talking about. If you could, can you explain in a little more detail on what to do? Thanks.
No fix yet.
I have also applied the V6 supercharger to the phone and no luck there either. Looks like I am going back to AOSP Final since I had no problems with the closing there.
If anyone has anymore suggestions I am all ears. I really don't know why this has been a problem for only a few people. Anywho, thanks to all that have given suggestions and those of you who will continue to.
Has someone resolved this? I am even thinking about trading my ASUS transformer for a new phone... this phone does not like me...lol

i belive this script is very similar to the V6 supercharger script, if that's the case you will need to use a rom that has a modded policy.jar if you are running an ics rom, if your on gingerbread then it should work. Some scripts are universal but just be careful, and understand that there is always a chance of bricking your phone
