stupid touch pro with microphone dead

I HATE HTC !!! I been buying HTC from the beginning , but now I'm done with HTC ! Besides they make phones slower then the old XDA ones now they all break ! I just bought a HTC TOUCH PRO from ebay ... it worked for a week and after that the microphone died! It sounds only noises in conversation or in recording... Its so frustrating ... so much money for a junk of a phone
Anyone any ideas on where to buy a microphone ... ? (online shop)
thanks
for microphone do you mean the one comes with the phone? or the one built into the phone?
I would imagine he means the one built into the phone,
I recommend you get in touch with your nearest HTC vender for a warranty repair
yes,why buy a microphone when your phone is still under warranty?
It's an eBay sale so warranty could be iffy... Could also be the reason for a dodgy unit...
up
yeah guys... no warranty..the device worked for few days... i just got another one from ebay.... i hope this works for more then few days... but i still need to repair the old one and the HTC service is far from me and kind of expensive if you don't have warranty so i was looking to buy the microphone and give it to other service to glue it on the board.
if anyone knows a website that sells htc parts let me know thanks !
Anyway it should still be under warranty as the phone is brand new.
Try to give them a call.
For my phone they came to pick it up at work (I don't spend much time home, so gave the work address :^P)
no warranty? how can someone pay a device over $700 without any warranty...
unless it fall from a truck or got stolen...
good luck in trying to repair it, mate, hope it doesn't cost more than a new one...
i fixed it !!

It seems you had a radio problem, sometimes a rom works with a phone sometimes a rom could not be compatible with the radio you installed. Happened to me on my Kaiser II

[Q] HTC ChaCha replacing digitizer. Help!

Hi i just buy an htc status (chacha) brand new for $270, but digitizer has dead zones, i can't use the back soft key and some parts of the screen. My very big problem, I'm from Ecuador here theres not tech support for htc, i call htc and only solution was to send the phone to USA (my warranty is valid thru oct. 2012), but i already pay for the unlock code and the importing fees (almost $80), so send it back to USA and bring it back again to Ecuador will be around $130 more at least. So this phone will cost me around $480! My only solution is to replace the digitizer by myself, i try to search some disassembly video but i can't find any. Anyone has take apart this model of htc? plz I'm desperate. Hope some suggestion or if you have some service manual will appreciate.
Thanks a lot...
this is to new model, so it will be hard to find videos and parts. I think, you need to look some cheap or for spare chacha on auctions and do from 2 phones one working.
Well i find the digitizer in ebay, but no luck with the manual or video

I understand your problem and realise you need to do something yourself - however I have been repairing screens all my life and HTC are the hardest. The HTC CHACHA is a delicate phone - yes you can replace the digitizer but this is a long and troublesome path you are taking.
The best way I would recommend is check if Ecuador has any mobile repair shops and get them to do it (but go in person - no posting). If you can't find one that can fix within your range - SENDING TO THE U.S.A IS THE ONLY WAY (UNLESS YOU ASK HTC IF YOU CAN SEND IT TO A CLOSER SUPPORTED COUNTRY).
If you are to attempt it yourself expect no tutorials for another five months or so and even then it's too dangerous.
Thanks for the advice, you right htc is hard to fix. But i have good news the digitizer is working, i dont know what happen, maybe was the charger, do you think was that? I used one from motorola and one from samsung, but since the phone drains the batery i full charge with the cable supplied by htc now this thing is working again. I never will use other charger. Again thanks

Remember - Always Use Official or Recommended Chargers - There are different Voltages On Different Ones - It does not matter if they fit or not, And If you have any battery problems visit the link below (it has been discussed already):

[Q] please help if you can. network unknown...

hello everyone i have a question to ask cause i am clueless about these new mobile phones. i found a samsung galaxy s3 gt-i9300 phone and it has no signal at all and does not read any sim cards i put in it, i suppose this is because the previous owner must of reported it lost and the company would have blocked the network, im going to give this phone to my daughter as a christmas present because she likes to play the games on it but she is at an age now that it would be handy for her to have a mobile phone that actually works as a phone, and my question is if i put a new motherboard in will it work again as a phone or not? or is there a different way of fixing this problem? if anyone can help i will really appreciate it thanks

Only one way to find out .. Buy a pre-paid SIM, stick it in, see if it works.

Guys, I need help with OPO

Hello, my mom really wanted a new phone fast because right now she uses an old samsung and it's has some problems but for her phone is in need because of work... So in eBay we found an awesome deal! OnePlus One auction, and we won that phone only for 37 pounds. Phone has to come tomorrow, but I was scrolling through eBay and I wanted to read some feedbacks on seller again so I went to OPO information and then I readed that phone doesn't pick up any network. So, I know that mother will kill me because network will not work. So I wanted to ask, is there any way fix that fast without any parts changing? Just change something in settings and it will work?
Are you serious dude?
Ever heard of "If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is"?
If it was that easy to fix then it would have been sold for far more than £37. Basically, no chance of fixing it in settings I'd guess, but you could try flashing a factory ROM image and praying lots.
Not sure until you actually get the phone and see what's wrong with it.
Soo, phone came and any sims doesn't work on him. So we took it to the repair, they told that they will see if they can fix it. So we waited until next day, they told that they will try to fix it until today. We came to the repair and they told that they changed the sim tray and problem still exist and they said to us to wait until tomorrow if phone gets any better they will call us. But my mom wanted to know, can be that problem can't be fixed at all?
Does the phone show IEMI in Settings/About Phone/Status/IEMI Information? "do not post your IEMI" just let know if does.
For the price you've paid inc the repair you could have got a Nexus 5 in good condition on Ebay.

I think so that it shows IMEI, I can't check right now because phone is teardowned and I saw that antenna was corrupted so we gonna changed it on Thursday and what about nexus 5, we could get it but only 16gb but my moms needs more memory so .
And more about IMEI, last time when I checked IMEI was in place but I don't know what about last time when I restored the phone after flashing ROMs .
If you have TWRP installed try backing up the EFS partition. That's where the IMEI is stored.
There's no more problems after antenna change, thanks everyone who tried to help!

Hello everybody,
in my Sony Xperia Z4 LTE Tablet is brocken the SIM card slot, does anyone have instructions on how to change it?
Does anyone know whether he is accessible from the display or from the back over?
Is the SIM slot soldered or plugged into the board?
I am very grateful for any help.
Regards, Siegmund
