RE: Process system is not responding
Anybody else ever run into this problem. I restart my phone and process system doesn't work right away. it takes sometimes 5 or 6 reboot attempts before the phone process system runs.
I'm not rooted regular stock.

I'm sorry your question makes no sense try explaining a different way
I would suggest rooting and flashing another rom. Sounds to me like something got corrupted.

alright i fixed it on my phone. i did a full wipe. tell me if i need to explain how to do this. reflashed the ROM and gapps. when i went through the setup the first time there was an option to restore from google. it was checked by default. i left it checked. same problem... system process not responding... wiped and started over and reflashed ROM and gapps. unchecked restore google and it didnt come back. phone hasnt crashed since. the problem lies within the wifi passwords restore. the problem started when i was trying to start wifi. i dont know where to report the bug or i would. good luck and any questions? just quote this so i get an email and ill try to explain if this didnt make sense. hope it helped. if it did consider buying my buddy a beer who is a dev and needs a new computer. http://johntriger-development.yolasite.com/

Ok Ill try to make this as clear as I can. I don't know what I'm doing and thought I would mess around with my Samsung Mesmerize for USCC.
USCC released the gingerbread update for my phone. So I went on their site and downloaded the installer and installed it on my phone. Before I was on froyo and was rooted with the vodoo lagfix. I did NOT disable or unroot before I did it.
Gingerbread update went fine and phone was working properly. I wanted to use my titanium backup to restore all of my apps but it said I wasnt rooted. I figured all I had to do was use superonelickroot and be back to square one. Problem is it wouldnt work.
This is where I really screwed up. I browsed around and found that I need to root it different because gingerbread is different and wont work with superoneclickroot.
I found a link to upgrade the samsung galaxy 19000 by using odin and replace some files.
This is where I really screwed up. I flashed my rom and installed the .tar file not realizing that it wasnt for my phone........
SIGH>..........
Phone wouldnt go past samsung screen which was all discolored and weird.
After panicing for awhile I figured I need to use odin again and flash an original rom back. So I found an original USCC froyo 2.2 rom and reflashed it to my phone.
Now my phone at least loads but I'm having a slew of problems. My internal memory storage is at 0 so I cant install anything. I also keep getting force close loop from twlauncher. I got that to go away by removing all of the widgets on my phone.
I have NO clue what the hell I'm doing and I'm afraid I screw this phone up.
I've tried hard resetting and when I do it, it says all sorts of failures and crap in red in the boot screen. It will reload eventually and the phone otherwise seems to be fine.
The problem is I can install like 2 apps and that's it before it says there in insufficient memory.
All I want to do is get my phone working like normal again.
What did I do wrong, other then the obvious installing the wrong rom for my phone?
I thought by reflashing with an original rom things would be back to normal, apparently not.
I would appreciate any help or info.
I'm not a complete noob but will need some laymen terms.
Thanks !

Update:
I restarted my phone just to see what happens and it reloaded like normal except it didn't save alot of my setting I changed.
So the phone is truly acting like it has no system memory. My wallpaper was back to the original one that comes with the phone and other settings were turned back to the original settings.
What will happen if I "clear cache partition" from the boot menu?
Will this help my problem at all?
Does anyone have any suggestions, I know someone out there knows whats wrong.
PLEASE HELP !!!

Update:
Ok, It also lost the one app that I was able to install, friendcasterpro.
So my phone is acting like it has no internal memory.
Why is this happening and how do I fix it?
THANKS !!!!
Same thing happened to me. Look up rfs formatter for the fascinate. After flashing it through recovery, flash your rom after while still in recovery. I had the same problem, this seemed to fix it for me on froyo. There may be other ways to fix though. Here's a link for it http://db.tt/JRseDsT. Don't know to much about odin anyone who does feel free to chime in.

So, I know this post is REALLY old, but would you happen to still have a copy of the 2.2 ROM? I can't find it anywhere.
Along time ago I made the mistake of wiping cache, dalvik and flashing a kernel without resetting wallet. I figured I wasn't wiping data so I was good (just lazy.) I did make a backup with working wallet.
Now my Nfc will work (I've transfered songs and pics through s beam) but it sometimes greys out and won't stay on. It works than stops, reboot does not change it. If I get it back before I go to bed when I wake up its broke again.
I'm currently on Clean Rom ULE not that I think that's the problem.

make nandroid, flash stock rom, tick on NFC, restore nandroid
win. worked for me everytime.
why are you resettin wallet ever? Ive swtiched between 10ish roms and ive never reset anything. it works everytime no issues
Do you get a box that says "unfortunately nfc has stopped"? I used to get that and finally fixed it by flashing back to the stock rom and restoring data from my old rom so I didn't lose anything. Fixed the problem for me and didn't lose any apps or how my home screen was set up.

That's what I do and it will work. Than the next day its greyed out again When its on I've successfully transferred files before it greys out again. So I know its not completely borked. Just frustrating.

maybe it has something to do with resetting wallet. ive never done that. never read that you had to do that.

if youre flashing a JBTW leak instead of an ICS rom maybe that has something to do with it. are you doing TWJB leak instead of ics? ive always done ICS

Sorry bout that..I just restored stock nandroid with Nfc on now it's greyed out again. I Odined stock rooted yesterday hoping that would help but wondering if I should try to Odin straight stock with a data wipe.
Really just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

you need to check NFC on when you flash teh stock rom, did you do that?
after that, not sure what to tell you. fixed NFC multiple times doing that method on a fwe different GS3s.

Ya it works than stops. I know what your saying just like on aosp. Flash stock click it on flash again. I don't know. I remember reading about how the "secure element" in the Nfc chip could lock up but if that's the case how have I used it at all? Anyway I appreciate the help. I've had enough for the moment.

I was using Twrp file manager in recovery and noticed the NFC Apk. Had the VRLF stock radio after it. So I flashed back from the new blk jb leak. That seems to have fixed it. I tried to take a screenshot of the apk in root explorer but it doesn't list the baseband after the apk. like it did in twrp. Maybe I'm crazy as I'm sure one has nothing to do with the other but why was it listed like that in twrp file manager?
Edit it wasn't twrp it was settings/apps

As the title states, I have my skyrocket with cm10 and mms is not working. I'm using the pta apn that's included. I searched via Google to see if there were any mistakes with the apn settings and didn't see anything... Any suggestions??? It acknowledges that an mms was sent to me but will never download it.

Assuming you're on att that apn us fine. Did you do a clean flash of the CM? And also do you have the auto retrieve enabled in your sms settings?
I'm sure you've messed with it enough and it still didn't work so I recommend a clean reflash if the latest CM with the latest UCMC1 radio and you should be fine

oh man...I am seriously having the same issue here...
Rom: SlimBean 4.2.2.build.6-official
Kernel: 3.0.72+Marla-2.0.7+
Modem: i727UCMC1
So I've gone through multiple iterations of Beanstalk and Slim, and not yet have I been able to get MMS working...I've Odin'd clean and installed from scratch, redownloaded the roms to make sure I got a solid DL, tried various APN settings, and none of it seems to work. Going to try and odin to stock, and flash tomorrow, but I get the feeling it's not going to work...
in the instances that I have not odin'd to stock, I have wiped the appropriate cache, and formatted and reset...still to no avail
any suggestions? this is really starting to drive me crazy...and I feel like I'm the only one. Every stinkin thread I read says it's a bad dl, try again. Done that more times than I can count and still nothing...

I see no mention of you checking the md5 or making sure your apn is correct.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
APN s have been messed with, and I've tried various ones. Found them somewhere here on xda, and verified that my phone reflects them. **edit...my phone reflects the correct art apns....not some random stuff I found...just wanted to clarify
Md5 is another thing though....I've never checked them before, and due to that, I havent clue how to verify md5. I'll do some reading and see. I can tell you that when I flash it will say "no md5 found, skipping verification" or something to that effect. I presume this could be the issue?
Thanks!
That just means you have md5 verification turned off, it doesn't affect anything. You need to check the md5 yourself before you flash the files on your phone. If they don't match the files are incomplete or corrupted.

Thanks. I've downloaded a Checksum utility from CNET, and redownloading the rom right now. Will also re-download modem and verify as well. I noticed on the CM site that UCLI3 is now the recommended modem, so I'll go ahead and change to that instead of using UCMC1.
I plan on flashing to stock, and going all the way through it, just to ensure everything is cleared out this time, instead of just wiping/formatting via TWRP this time around.
Appreciate your help. Will report back any issues.
Thanks.

Thanks for confirming. Just finished re-downloading everything, and that modem link on the CM site was kinda odd, so I decided to stick with UCMC1. I literally just finished all my downloads, and now am going to begin the stock-recovery-modem-rom flashing process. Hoping to be able to report back success within the next hour! All md5/sha hashes checked out, so here's hoping!!
Thanks for your help through all of this.

RIGHT ON!
I have no idea where the issue was in my prior process (likely MD5 checking, because that's the only thing I did differently) but we are up and running now.
Totally appreciate your help through all of this...now I shall crawl back into my hole, and likely not return til I get another phone, and a whole new set of problems
THANKS!!!!!!

just wanted to update this, in case anyone else experiences this issue....
I installed a few extras (an addon package, and cLock, and a few other things off the Slim Roms site) and all of a sudden I wasn't able to send MMS again. No idea what did it, because I didn't check before installing each .zip package, just installed them all at once.
I presumed everything was good, then tried to send an MMS that evening. Didn't work. AHHH! SO FRUSTRATING!
Decided to charge it up all the way and prepare to reflash everything. UGH. Not again. This **** is getting old.
So I thought, well, let's just do a full wipe, and see what that does. So I went into TWRP, did the "full wipe" option that wipes cache, dalvik cache, .android_secure, and Factory Reset. Figured if it borked everything, I'd just start from square 1. Got nothing to lose, right?
Well, it worked. Did that reset, and phone booted up. Once everything was up, I tried to send MMS, and success! Haven't had a single issue since then.
Thanks.
I've noticed that if I'm using a thrifty party messaging app my mms won't send but using the stock app it sends with no problem...

OK, here's the history:
I bought my Sprint Galaxy SIII from Craigslist. It was almost new and came with factory firmware. I'm pretty certain that it had never been flashed, rooted...etc.
I activated it on FreedomPop and went through their activation process.
Then I rooted with Odin.
Everything went well and worked well enough, except that I was unhappy with the battery drain. I was getting <10 hours on a full charge. My research said that the FP apps were the culprit.
Skip ahead two months to yesterday...
I decided to install a new ROM and get rid of all FP apps. My plan was (still is I hope) to use the free data from FP and use Hangouts for all voice and text. I'm not a heavy user, so the data usage should be minimal. I'm mostly interested in using the plan strictly for data.
I found a ROM called LiquidSmooth and installed it along with Philz touch recovery. I also did a Nandroid backup of my working ROM.
It installed fine, but I started having random reboots.
I decided to go back to full stock, rooted. I d/l'ed ND8 Stock Rooted Odex and flashed it (after making a Nandroid of the working (mostly) LiquidSmooth). The flash went fine, but the phone will now not reboot.
I've left it for 30+ minutes with fingers crossed, but it just keeps flashing the blue LED. The hardware buttons do nothing. Only a battery pull shuts it down.
I can get back into Recovery, no problem.
I re-flashed including full reset/wipe/Dalvik wipe at least 4 times with the same result. It never boots.
I tried to reinstall my Nandroid of LiquidSmooth, but it fails on MD5 check (probably because I brilliantly changed the filename after creating it.
If I disable MD5 checking though Philz, it still fails. The error is Error while restoring /system.
I haven't yet found my original working Nandroid on the system. It's not in the same folder as the LiquidSmooth backup. It was created by CWM, not Philz if that helps anybody help me.
I cannot connect to the phone via my PC to load another ROM on it. It does not show up in My Computer.
I assume ADB is unlikely to work too, but I'm a complete newb in that area.
Please hit me with some suggestions. Am I SOL?
The phone's not a brick, I just can't seem to make it recognize a ROM.
Thanks for reading. I'll look forward to any replies.

hi all.
first let me say i am new here. so if i am posting in the wrong place, or addressing something that's already been fixed i apologize. but i didn't find anything in my search. to make a long story short i have rooted my galaxy note 5. it is the t mobile version. i flashed my custom recovery using Odin no problem. i used that (twrp) to wipe the cache and davlik, and preformed a full wipe. then i flashed my ROM no problem. everything works great, except for the actual phone itself. about a minute into my calls my phone hard resets, then goes back to normal as if i just turned it on. i was told this may be a kernel issue, but im not familiar enough with that to know what my next step is. i was provided with a kernel file to flash but it didn't seem to help. am i missing something???? any help is greatly appreciated. :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
