Camera doesn't seem to work. Won't launch.
- Sorry, just read that some users have issues and to flash another kernel.
I've been running this ROM for 2 hrs now and I must say BRAVO!! Great job (camera didn't work) but after installing the additional kernal it works fine..
I'm pleased with the touch of Sense 4 added to Sense 3.5. Think I'll be using this ROM for some time.

You have to flash a different kernel.
This rom has been over in the DHD forum for a while (and its great). For people flashing this for the first time, check out those forums more. There are many more roms that all usually support the Inspire.

It shows H but I have not seen H+. You can also set it to show 4G in settings.
The update .zip is not installing....it says that is bad and aborts the installation. Do I have to flash zip or just and update.zip? Thanks

Doesn´t allow me to do it....I have downloaded it twice and is not working....
When I try to download it from the XDA apps gives me an error, and says that the file is not there...
EDIT: I saw that the file was wrong....I will wait. Thanks!

Well it's entirely new afaik, mdj did this build originally for the Desire S and he added support for some other devices too.
So this should be completely new.

Flashing as we speak, will report any notable bugs if they're there
Edit: First bug I've noticed: when trying to access camera (fully aware it isn't functional) from lock screen, the phone reboots.
Edit 2: Not sure if the bug is related to the rom as I'm using the nova launcher, but when i tried to use a wallpaper from gallery and had to crop, the phone rebooted. Funny enough the wallpaper was set though.
nice to see another great ICS rom!
VI 1.48 is very good rom, so I think this one will also be very good!
Too bad the camera isn't working in this rom too..

Bug:
Trying to open the camera from lockscreen causes a hot reboot.
It's obviously going to do it because of the lack of camera.apk but is there a way to change the shortcut to something else?

I am trying to install Amazon market and MP3 apps no matter where I get the apps from they install the UK versions. Living in the US this poses a problem that it will not let me purchase music, any ideas?
My phone says its a Desire HD in the settings is there a way to change this or does it even matter.Also there was no option for English (US) only (UK), could this be a problem as well?
I love this Rom but I use Amazon almost everyday any help would be great!

This is a fantastic rom.
I do have problems with the Notification swipe system. It can be sticky trying to remove notifications and you have to swipe to the right only. Just not as flowing compared to a ICS rom. Other than that an awesome rom well done.

Being slightly lazy, I simply flashed this ROM over my existing Endymion base....no wipe's...It worked fine....
The right gesture notification removal worked fine.....

Well I tried it, got confused with regards launchers (hence other thread and poll) tried a couple of them, set them up fully and then took a trusty nandroid before moving on for another day! Must say (although wrong thread IceColdSandwich is getting exceptionally good )
And its very nice to see someone trying to topple Endymion from the sense 3.5 thrown! Competition creates progress!

Ok haha, I've just tried this ROM, and very impressed! RCMix 4.0 & the Swipe-notifications is a killer feature!
I really wish lowveld would put these in the next Endymion update.... If there ever will be anymore...

The new version of rcmix tweaks use cloud based downloadable tweaks. So you need a working net connection for the tweaks to be downloaded and applied.... This is one of the reasons lowveld hasn't updated endymion with these tweaks, and has instead come up with Endymion tweaks, with all necessary tweaks stored offline on the sd card... Helps avoid exactly these kind of situations...

I was connected to the internet via wifi so may be its something wrong with the cloud storage. Thanks for the background info, never knew that all

Actually just noticed that as well, in fact none of the tweaks I tried seem to work.
Can't change boot animation
In extra's I choose to install xda app and that doesn't do anything

This Sense 4A features some nice functions, and very good support. Its the stablest and best supported Sense 4A ROM for the Desire S.
Since v2.0.3 we introduced the F1 kernel, which of course means two things: Formula one (means its very fast ) and FlashONE.
Recommended Radio
We recommend the leaked RUU's Radio. Download HERE
Of course, you can still use the older radio. it works fine too. but this one just has better wifi/bt connection then the oldie ;-)
Recommended HBOOT
We recommend the Engineering 98 HBOOT. but it works on 2.0 too.

We recommend the "F1 kernel". It has not been included in v2.0.3, so download it HERE. Flash it over Fastboot.

Bugs
Native HTC WiFi Hotspot
Make sure you have a custom recovery, preferrably 4EXT Touch
The ROM isn't signed, so make sure sign check is off.
Wipe everything except for /mnt/sdcard
If you are on HBOOT 2.0, use the /system/lib wiper.
Run the zip from the recovery
follow the steps on-screen
Reboot (except if you have HTC Bootloader unlock!)
For people who have unlocked their bootloader at htcdev.com:
make sure you have a folder with ADB, and the F1 Kernel from the zip ready in it.
From recovery: adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
And because the first boot takes very long:

EDIT : maybe i spoke too soon... Okay, the one v kernel source might be useful, finally.
But djpbx and I aren't kernel devs, so we wait for Virtuous Team to make their statement about all this, and, maybe their updated kernel

Oh sorry misread
It doesn't need v3 kernel, a Dec in G2 DZ section has fixed it by using legacy touchscreen, and I'm trying to find out where it is

Yup. you can use the same zip. It's multidevice.
Do you want to test it on your DZ? i'm currently looking for any device specific bugs.

I'm sure HTC is making it harder to crack the bootloader.
I'm curious why all sense 2.1, 3.0, 3.5 are based on 2.3.3 (4.54 build) instead of 2.3.5???

@nico4k Because there's not many ROMs that have Android 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0 to work with for HTC Evo 4G

Mikg3.11 is sense 2.1 and Energy sense 3.5, Radiance sense 3.5 are all android 2.3.5
