I overclocked to 1.3 ghz by uc kernel.
I wanna ask that at 1.3 is it safe for daily use becoz its quite high.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda premium
And i also wanna know that does it will decrease my phone life?
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda premium
No one will recommend to fix max 1.3Ghz. Cause it may over heat your phone due to it is over clock.
Ofcause, this shorten you phone life.

ur emmc chip may burn out..
stay in limits.. 1ghz is enough i suppose..
but yea occassionally 1.2 dats it..!

Better be on 1Ghz as default. And when multitasking or playing games, OVERCLOCK!! But 1.2 maxx..
And TI OMAP's are powerfull enough, can resist overclocking.
And moreover 1.2 is standart overclocking for our OMAP.

Be on one ghz...
Seriously didnt fell any diff........
its ma opinion..use custom kernal....
on demand..
nd make a profile....when screen gets off...set cpu max to 800 min to 300..nd same while charging..saves battery
Guys, try below combination
governor : lionheart
I/O scheduler : sio
you will fell it.

can anyone recommend "the best" overclocking app for x10?
not sure if it matters, but im running [Cyanogen6.1.3]gingerbread[v01]
X10 cannot be overclocked yet.

You can use setcpu but it wont overclock. We need custom kernel. So farr there's no custom kernel for x10.
But you can use setcpu to reduce the screenoff MHz. It might help to save more battery.

I wonder if it can underclock why it cant overclock whit Setcpu? ;o

because you need a custom kernel to increase the possible range of values... the underclocking value is already within the range of possible values

... And as on any phone overclock thread, never forget our devices are NOT AT ALL intented to do overclock.
Carefully check our CPU's internals, because you will probably make your phone very hot, unstable, battery sucker and useless - it will self-stops because of overheat.
Or try in your fridge, in North Pole, or build a watercooling system.
Did I mention your phone won't be as mobile as before ?
Just kidding, but seriously guys, overclocking phones is useless today. Few years ago, it was nice (as we got very low frequency), but now we have very powerful devices... Don't expect to overclock as you do with Core i7 or Pentium IV...
Would it work if i would be on baseband .58 which is the newest?

the baseband is just the radio of the phone, it has NOTHING to do with overclocking...
the kernel is what controls that
hmmm no overclocking available till custom kernel can be booted man
based on my personal experiences i would just want to say that tegrak overclock will just mess ur phone up when using a gb rom.. especially if u lower those core and internal voltages.. one of d noticeable prob is when someone is calling u and ur phone will just vibrate w/o seeing who d caller is and it will just crash randomly.. im happy with my kh1 ext4 now without OC from tegrak..

and btw have u found new values just in case for low OC in GB roms? kg4,kg6,kh1.. coZ i followed d low OC guide for ICBINB froyo and i cant receive any calls the phone just crashes when someone is calling me and i can only fix it by disabling tegrak..
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
I would also have to disagree. I can run my kg6/ext4 build at 1.62ghz with zero heat or freeze up issues. it's almost insane. I normally run it stock with the scaling set from 200-1000, and i get insane battery life. it takes about 3hrs and 27 minutes to drop from 100% to 99%, and that includes checking my mail, xda and sending a few texts in the morning. after about 10.5 hrs i will have around 80-85% left.
i know.. but do you change voltages for cpu 2,3 and 4? coz that maybe d reason why i cant receive a phone call..
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
UPDATE!! i have fixed the calling problem and crashing.. now i know that the scaling governor of conservative 100-1000 is causing it and i just change the governor to 200-1000 and viola.. still using drsexton's low OC guide from ICBINB. now my phone has insane battery life.. i just cant believe my phone would be a battery life monster like this.. im playing games for like 3 hours and my battery is still 95 after full charge.. wdh? lol.. anyway i really like how they made KH1 such a nice update for GS4G GB users like us.. im so happy now.. im done reading and experimenting now coz im really really satisfied with the results now and its final.. =)

*sigh* it doesnt have to be 200 to 1000 you shouldnt be using icbinb froyo settings as GB is different, jusy for you buddy ill post up MY personal settings for gingerbread, I OC 1.3 and get a day or longer battery life using my phone a lot, although I now wanna try 1.6 hehehe I love speed!!!!

Ok so i was wondering if overclocking this phone is a good idea? i am probably gonna use about 8-900 mhz anywayz. I know its not the most expensive device out there but still its pretty expensive for me xD. So i was wondering if the overclocking it would effect the phone in some way.
thx

I don't feel it really speeds up the phone too much and if you compared a phone with 900 MHz processor as standard with our phone overclocked to 900 MHz processor, the standard 900 MHz processor would be a lot faster. I hope this makes sense. I didn't explain it very well.
For example, compare a HTC desire to our phone overclocked to 1 GHz. The HTC would still be a million times faster.
Anyway, a non-overclocked phone is still quite smooth and i have no problems with it. If you want to overclock, you will get a nice little boost but not a really big boost.

You should set your main profile to max of 800 as its the safest for your cpu although i overclock to 1366/1400 when im gaming . Its faster than not overclocking(for daily usage for me not sure abt other people)

You can look under the index list for the kernel threads of fugumod ultra(OC to 1366) or the official fugumod thread(can OC to 800Mhz) or the G3mod thread(OC to 1200Mhz)

Anyone have problems regarding i9003 overclock at 200mhz? , no matter i do i cant put my fone in 200mhz zone, whether be it, deep sleep or manually using set cpu. my fone is rooted, deodexed, UC kernel v8-fixed and xxkpq. Thks.
**UNDERCLOCK!, for de overclock in this thread, should be underclock*, i guess im carried off lols.
Some phones just cannot haandle the underclock and will freeze.
Edit: sorry didn't see tour question properly, try reflashing the kernel

yupp i did try to reflash i can control my freq to either 200 300 600 800 1200mhz, but i used cpu spy and found out 200mhz is always not 'in use' .

Well same for me, I'm on miui using 120-1350mhz, and so far the cCPU hasn't touched 120mhz. Maybe if you force it with a profile, it will go to that frequency, but be warned to not set on boot, as having such low frequency could result in your phone freezing. Pull the batt if it freeze
Cheers

Can I propose you to collaborate with Kyrillos13 in his thread? You could create a table with issues and fixes found for them in leaked JB. Then we would have issues and fixes in one place.
Anyway regarding lag-fix: I confirm, that it works for Modern Combat series.
