unbelievable

With stock..
Used ma device with stock rom....ddkp3
Just calls nd sms.....lasted for 3 days....but only calls..

For me this seems to be a fake. Without looking streched this screenshot has a resolution of 240x320, doubled this makes 480x640. But our screen has a resolution of 480x800. Do you understand my doubts? The aspect ratio is wrong...

Nope.. It can happen.. Used to get nearly two n half days even wid 7 hours of wifi usage in btwn.. If u dnt use data or any other media, put d fone in 2g mode and most importantly, if the signal strength in ur areas strong & not fluctuating, u cud get 5 days.. But not more than that, i think..

hehehe just some tweaks

I have also been able to pull 4 days without a re-charge but that was when I had traveled to Bangkok, but majority of this was due to me not answering a single call or replaying to a SMS.

seems data, wifi, screen eats up everything..

Battery problem

Hi all,
I'm on ddjp6 rooted.
Battery stand by is good.
But during using internet, fully charged battery expires in just 20 minutes or less...
The phone immediatly shuts down after showing low battery warning. (in 5 seconds)
Is this a rom problem?
Because I think on official eclair , the battery was good.
Can a custom rom solve this?
Please suggest me...
Thanks in advance...
With best regards...
why dont you migrate to newer soft as jpu or so there is no such extreme drainage

But..wait.
They can OC to 2.25Ghz? ??? i don't get this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1419274

Thats nice. They are able to overclock to 1.5 Ghz without any issues.

Yeah i understand now, but one of them reached 1.5Ghz.. lol
I have used i9000 with 1.5 Ghz OC and it's buttery smooth on AOKP for i9000. Even with 1 ghz, smoothness and performance of it is ahead of my i9003 with 1.3 Ghz OC on AOKP. And mind you, i am talking about the UI and General Rom, Not games and stuff.
Can anyone experienced tell what's wrong with our phone? The CPU is more powerful than that of i9000, excluding GPU of course. Can't we OC our phone to 1.5 Ghz too?

Well an hour and half watching a movie with overclocking is OK.
But even in samsung's manual, they recommend not even using the phone when it's charging.

I'm on EX Kernel v1 and KYRILLOSv4. I got with standard 1500mah battery roughly 50 hours without much using and about 22 hours with normal using (gaming, browsing, chatting, calling, etc.). Internet connection and sync always active (every 30 mins facebook, emails and so on)
- try the tweaks from pimp my rom
- check if deep sleep is working correctly
- turn down display brightness (display drains the battery most)
- get a 1700mah battery (i'm testing atm)

For me, the biggest negative is that the phone is not fast enough comparing to S3. Although, it might be touch wiz problem than hardware, because Nexus 10 feels much fluid and smooth.
Basically, I did expect a better performance.

Is a fault from Samsung that an external app (Chrome) uses a lot of RAM? NO.

Maybe because Chrome doesn't use a fixed MB, it uses a % of RAM. More ram more %.

it has a lot of features and a 1080p screen (yes the 1080 has more than twice the pixels of 720 that it needs to use memory for the GPU), it needs to use up some extra ram to run smoothly. imagine how slow it would be if it used 550mb and kept swapping it out
furthermore ive got a droid 3 with 512mb of ram... even with a custom rom with zero bloat this thing had like 50-100mb left to run apps... imagine how disappointed i am with it -_-
(im on verizon and im awaiting my pre-order of course)

this isnt a legit complaint because its the fastest phone in the world. when i build a computer i expect some of the parts to sometimes run warm. in fact, my 7970 runs around 60 celsius under full load. the latest greatest technology is expected to get a little warm lol...
besides who ISNT going to use this thing as a hand warmer during the winter? lol
I too experience phone restarts when entering the camera app. Battery drains on average 10% every hour ( or more ) on medium use. Reached 50C degrees battery temp when browsing app, it got very uncomfortable to hold in the hand.

Yeap, I disabled all of them.
Still, when routinely switching between camera -> gallery -> email -> back to camera the transition between windows is very slow. And it's not because of animation, but probably because the phone needs to restore the state of a next app and it takes ages.
The phone is ok, but I expected more from 2013's hardware.
My phone never restarted itself, camera has crashed 2 times in 3 weeks, I don't have a problem with overheating, even if I use it all day (batterry draining is normal for a quadcore with 1080 screen... it lasts high use about 5-6 hours )
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
I have had 2 phantom "switch offs", first thought the battery was empty so put it on to charge, second time I tried to switch it on and the battery came up as 90% full.
No idea why it switched off - it was in my pocket.
