How to change the boot screen?(Remove Rogers Logo) - Samsung Infuse 4G

How to change the boot screen?(Remove Rogers Logo) Can anybody tells me??

Grab a boot animation, place it in /system/media/ depending on the kernel you are running it will have to he named either sanim.zip or bootanimation.zip
An easy way to get flashable boot animations is to go to UOT kitchen (google it)-upload proper frameworks, choose boot animation you want, make sure you choose the option for galaxy phones that way it will be flashed in the proper spot. Also under the file settings area check on the galaxy setting for update script. Basically if you have the option for phone type choose galaxy.

Rogers logo question
My device from HTC has neither sanim.zip nor bootanimation.zip located in /system/media. Yet there is a Rogers logo on bootup. Does anybody know where it is coming from?

[Q] Cognition 4 custom boot animation?

Hi,
i just flashed cognition 4 to my captivate and i want to get a custom boot animation on it but i can't find the default one in my phone using root explorer. Is it in a different place on cognition 4? Thanks
According to the actual ROM features for Cognition 4.3.1:
- Boot animation customizable (disables boot sound)
Question is, where is the bootanimation.zip on this ROM?
I tried searching for it through Root Explorer but couldn't find it at the /data/local folder.
I also tried within the /system/media folder and I did find a bootsamsung.qmp, bootsamsungloop.qmg, which I guess are the stock samsung animations for the boot screen.
How to change the boot screen on Cognition 4.3?
I would also like to know how to change the boot animation on cognition 4. I have been all over the forum but cannot find any helpful information.
Custom Boot Animation
All you have to do is put the "bootanimation.zip" file directly into the system/media folder. It will overwrite the default animation.
You can also change the shutdown animation by replacing the "shutdown" folder in system/media/video. (For example, check out this mod... Download the shutdown.zip, extract it, then replace the existing system/media/video/shutdown folder with it.)
That would normally work but it isn't working for 4.3.1 cog, because there is no zip to replace.

It doesn't matter that you're not replacing an existing bootanimation.zip. Just stick it in there anyway and it should work. It worked for me.

[Q] Installing custom boot animation on captivate running official froyo (KB1)

How do i install the boot animation found in this location http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-themes/54582-droid-x-boot-animation-blue-color-edited-me.html on my samsung captivate running official froyo (KB1). I have flashed the voodoo lagfix injected kernel too. Is the method of copying the bootanimation.zip to /system/media going to work? If it will work then i see two files under /system/media. one is called bootsamsung.qmg and another one called bootsamsungloop.qmg. if i paste the custom bootanimation.zip within this folder without removing these two .qmg files then what will happen? i will see two boot animations after at&t logo? or it will simply not work? Can someone please guide me on this?

[Q] downanimation.zip not working

Hi
I rooted my HTC sensation T-Mobile smartphone. I wanted to get rid of the T-Mobile boot and down animations.
I changed the file names of TMOUS_bootanimation.zip and TMOUS_downanimation.zip by adding the .bak extension at the end of the names. These files were found in system/customize/resources
I no longer have the T-Mobile animation on startup but have only the default android animation.
I want to use the generic HTC boot animation as both my bootanimation.zip and downanimation.zip. I copied and replaced both files file in the directory already mentioned. I only get a black screen on shutdown.
I did notice that when I moved both files to system/media, the generic HTC animation worked on startup but not on shutdown.
I changed the permissions and ownerships of both files and nothing seems to work for the downanimation.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Agreed, if your on a tmobile Rom then it's highly likely that you will need to name your new down animation to exactly as it was before. Also what did you set the permissions to?

Enabling boot animation on Alcatel OT 5020T

I am trying to enable the boot animation on my One Touch Evolve. I have located the bootanimation.zip (custpack/JDR_custres/media), but the animation never happens when I start the phone. Is there something I need to add to the build.prop to get it going? I am running Android 4.1.2
The same for shut down...the animation file is there, but I see no animation.
I even tried putting the bootanimation.zip in the /system/media folder...doesn't work either...
boooooot animation
if your are rooted goto system\media\paste your zip file as bootanimation.zip
and reboot enjoy

Thanks for the reply...yes, I'm rooted, but that didn't work either. Is there something with the permissions maybe? When I first got the phone, the original boot animation didn't even work. That's why I was wondering if there was something in the build.prop that told it not to, or maybe there is a line I can add?

You should know diffwrent about boot logo (splash screen) which dark bg and write samsung galaxy ....
If you want to change this you need to search for original splash flash zip because after change it . It can only change back by flash original one. It not change though you change rom or factory reset.
Boot animation is easier to change. Just go to thread that share boot animation downliad flash zip and flash it. If you nandroid backup your rom first , you can always restore . Or you may copy original qmg file to somewhere.
