I have muve music on my huawei mercury phone from cricket... the muve program requires a special SD card... this SD card is 4g... 1g for my personals and 3g for music.... the 1g is not big enough for all my personals. I have a 32g sd micro that i was using before and i was wondering... How do i make my 32g replicate the compatibility of the special SD card so that it can be used with Muve Music program?
I really need to know because i have alot of important things on my phone but cant use them due to no space on special sd card. please help me...

I have been grappling with the problem of storage for a while. When I had a XDA II I was thinking of getting a CF USB Host card/Sleeve/Portable HD but stuck to SD cards. I had to return a 2GB SD card a while back and was going to replace it with a 4GB card when they became cheaper but I came across an interesting device that I think has solved my storage problem (until PDA's come with high-capacity HDs). It's a Vosonic VP 6230 http://www.vosonic.com/index.php?php_mode=spec&php_itemid=36 . It works like an image-tank but unlike other image tanks you can copy from the HD to a SD card. So if you are going on a trip you can copy say movies to the SD card when you want to watch them rather than having to bring along a laptop. It also plays music/videos/photos itself but's it's not a great media player. Also you can charge it through the USB cable. ~£240 for 80GB model.
I am considering buying a transformer and had a question about the sd card reader. I have heard that it doesn't work properly? I was hoping to put a 32gb sdhc card in this to store movies/music and the like, will I be able to?
It works fine.. just remember that unlike older version of android, Honeycomb does not let you move apps to sd card (but hey they tend to be really small) but you can use your SD card to store your music, photo, movies, comics stuff like that.
I've got quite a few DVDs/Blu Rays that contain digital copies and would like them on my SD card as my phone only has 16GB of storage. To the best of my knowledge if I download them via the PlaysEverywhere app, I can't transfer them to my SD card? (my Z3 isn't rooted or anything like that). Is there anyway of downloading it and getting it on my SD card? From what I can see on Sony MediaGo, there's no way of importing the film using that
Hello guys, I have just bougth a 256GB Micro SD, it's an AData class 10, it's not UHS-i.
I had a 32GB one inside of my phone, so I decided to copy the data from the old one to the new one...
Once I finished, I inserted it to my Z3, transfered things from internal storage to SD to free some space (photos, videos, apps), then I restarted my phone and noticed that the apps moved to te SD were not opening, then I checked Settings->Storage and saw that my SD was now just using 7GB, instead of the 47GB that were being used before restarting.
I have tried to format the SD directly from my Z3, then copy data and the same happens, in some cases it just says "Impossible to play this song" for music files, or the photos are not being shown.
Can anyone give me a solution?
Z3 only supports up to 200GB of External Storage
Theoretically it should support cards up to 2TB (not that those exist) if it allows SDXC.
"Mobile devices like smartphones support the standard , not the capacity ... It's the same with anything using removable storage.
For example, a smartphone that supports Micro SDHC (Micro Secure Digital High Capacity) is limited to just 32GB... But a television supporting Micro SDXC (Micro Secure Digital eXtended Capacity) can use storage cards up to 2TB.
It doesn't matter that 200GB is an unusual size (anything in computing or electronics relating to data almost always increases in doubles - 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, etc...)... Just as long as it's 2TB or less."
I need some help. I have a Motorola a03s I can't root. Don't have computer.
I do have an otg card reader and I have an SD card 32gb from my SanDisk sport clip go. I am trying to backup or clone my SD card.
I am trying to see if there is a partition managing tool I can use that does not require rooting my phone. Maybe one that isn't on the app store?
The card has a small hidden partition that I could see when I had my laptop that has the mp3 players operating system and then an open partition where you putsmusic and books.
I can see the music and books 30gb partition and access it to add and remove media..
What I can't do is have access to make a backup in some way of the hidden partition or clone it to a new card.
Any suggestions or help appreciated. Thanks
Do you actually have a laptop, or not?
Currently only phone. No longer have laptop. Phone, USB c card reader and SD cards only. I want to backup all of my music and books so if my card dies I can just swap the card to put it into a new player and go. This model the internal memory is all on the card. The operating system or whatever you would call it and on a secondary partition is where you keep the media.. if you dont copy both partitions then the player won't turn on.
