You can't use them

use a cpu app like set cpu, and downclock to 1134 mhz. Also set force gpu rendering to on under settings > develop, and u wont even notice the difference. Also use leeC's rogers ics base, its ucla3 and that radio will help with battery and receptiom

sure if you want to fry your phone, my phone gets hot at about 600, your phone shouldnt even be stable at 825mhz, your phone would catch fire if you tried to set it that high, the mytouch just isnt built for that.
i use the cm5.0.7 kernel and am using 122/576Mhz. how do i easily overclock to 600mhz? is this possible with a hack or do i have to flash another kernel ?

If your asking if u can get to 1ghz then how did u get to 825mhz? I wouldnt even trust my phone running that high, I would put it down to 600-700
How hot is it running atm?
my phone flies actually and keeps cool like it was clocked at 384mhz and the battery rocks to tell u the truth...
u guys want me to post the kernal i use for u guys to see for urselves?

just flash it like u would flash a rom and reboot ur phone..get set cpu from the market or anywhere else...choose auto detect speeds...set the governor to userspac because if you dont then ur phone will crash...set to 825 mhz and enjoy!!!

[Q] cm7 and setcpu? //kernel?

So I read setcpu is not necessary with cm7 since it's already implemented with the rom. I'm just wondering why some people still use setcpu with it, are there any benefits?
I'm running latest version of cm7 with stock kernel.
*I'm also wondering what kernels you all use with cm7?
SetCPU has way more features than CM7's built-in CPU Governor.
With SetCPU, you're able to set custom CPU profiles to lower CPU Usage In-Call, when the screen is off, or when the battery hits a certain percentage... etc.
You're also able to control undervoltage in SetCPU (If you're using a custom kernel)
Thank you, so I can run them both simultaneously or is it possible to close the built in one?

I don't think it's possible to remove the CM7 Governor, but you can just use SetCPU with no problems at all.
Are you using CM7 as well? What kernel are you running it with?

Just disable the 'set on boot' setting in the CM7 settings and enable 'set on boot' in setCPU

I'm running Nightly build 154 with Faux 0.4.2 with SV and DS battery driver...i get performance and great battery life. I use SETCpu and I've been OC'd @ 1.4 for about 3hrs now and my battery has only gone down 2% with mild texting and no overheating. My battery's temp has been constant at around 88-90 degrees.
If you're looking for the right Kernel...Faux's 0.4.2 with SV and DS battery driver is the way to go.

I'm going to assume right off the bat you're on an EE4 froyo rom? the safest is 1.4ghz however not many peoples phones (myself included when I was on froyo) will be stable, there were random reboots and lockups galore... I was stable at 1.2ghz but as I said everyone's phones are different, but to answer your question yes you can go up to 1.4

You can overclock with that, but personally, why would you use an app to load a module to overclock? You're forcing the system to do something it doesn't want to, which could easily lead to problems.

it needs to say SCH-I510 not humble by Danalo1979 for the app to know what phone you are on.

[Q] A couple of questions about kernels

I'm on infused 2.2.3 and i currently have Entropy's daily kernel.
I have a few questions about changing it
1) i already know i can just flash over it but, i want a bit faster one, and i wanna try to do that oc stuff... a few things i dont understand from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1212485 is that it says only works on Samsung roms and not AOSP roms... firstly would i be ok being on infused? and also what does AOSP even mean?
2) I know it's a stupid question but what is a GB rom and what is the difference between it and other ones?
3)what is voodoo lagfix, voodoo sound and insecure boot?
I think that is all for now
Thanks for any help
First- yes you can flash that kernel with infused.
2nd- GB is gingerbread, its the lastest realses of android system (or soon will be for our infuse)
3rd- voodoo lagfix and sound are a tweek that helps your phone look ,run smoother, quicker, and sound better without a custom kernel but still works with everything.

in the thread you posted, you can pick any of them......Cores A and B just have different clock speeds added.
1.1 of course being the latest, but some have said they prefer 1.0. just flash it with SGS kernel flasher or CWM and you will be good. after doing so, go and get Voltage controller(free) or one of the paid apps(set cpu,Pimp My Cpu) and you will have the option to OC(Over Clock) and UV ( Under volt) that is all really.
no harm no foul, you should not mess anything up. try them out and see which one you like better. i personally liked 1.1 with the Infused Rom.

I reached 1,38Ghz without a problem and maxed the load, didn't fry yet xD
No kernel supports 1,4.. but 1,38Ghz is there and stable on some devices, so it's possible.
My sister's device didn't go past 1,35Ghz and crashed, 1,30Ghz is stable for her.
So it really depends.. safest value is 1,2Ghz.
Now back on topic, there's something wrong with your phone or something else, CM9 is currently smooth even with 1,0Ghz.
