Yesterday (the 9th of april, easter monday) I installed kyrillos 10 on my galaxy apollo, it's the first time I installed a custom rom, but i've found some problems.
First of all (i know this problem is a repost, but anyway, i'll ask it) the camera is black and white, and I already tried to install instagram but instagram uses the default camera...
Please help the original post about the camera probs too (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1590048&highlight=kyrillos)
My second problem is, I can't connect my phone to my computer, when i connect the usb cable, my phone says he's connected, but my laptop doesnt find my SD-Card...
A third problem (but that was before I installed kyrillos) my laptop doesn't find a bluetooth device... do you guys know which drivers i need to install. (i have a HP 620)

[Q] Problems with my new Infuse

Hello I just got the Infuse from AT&T and while I am liking the phone there are 2 major issues I am having and 1 minor one that I can not seem to find a fix for.
First when I try to use GPS the phone can see 11 satilites but it refuses to use any of them and will not allow me to use the navigator or any other GPS tools. I have installed GPS Test and GPS Status and both apps show the same thing 11 satilites visible, 0 in use.
Next when I connect the Infuse to my PC (Windows 7 64 bit) and start up the Mass Storage thing but my computer never sees the device. I do not have the pop up to view files and when when I go into my computer no new drives or devices are listed.
Lastly I keep setting a live wallpaper as my wallpaper but every few hours it resets back to the factory original background. How can I get the wallpaper to stop resetting?
I like this phone but these are pretty major issues that will force me to return this device if they can not be resolved...
GPS - How long did you wait? Are you on stock Froyo or one of the Gingerbread builds? GB provides major GPS lock time improvements, but has its own issues.
Win7 USB mounting - no clue. Works fine for me in Linux. (Except when running Cyanogenmod 7, but that's a known issue with our CM7 builds. I just used ADB for file transfers there.)
Live wallpapers resetting - No clue, I hate live wallpapers. My static wallpaper has always been fine. Sometimes if the launcher takes too long to init it will flake out though - if you're on a bone stock ROM (e.g. you haven't flashed an alternate kernel or an alternate full ROM), this might be another symptom of RFS being a horrible filesystem. ext4 conversion is called Voodoo Lagfix for a reason...
I have waited upwards of 10-15 minutes for the GPS to fix. I just had it fix when I was driving but it was all over the place, showed me driving down the middle of a river 100 feet away from where I really was for most of the time...
I have a stock ROM. I just picked the phone up on Monday night so I haven't had it long enough to do too much with it yet and I can't root it since I only bought it because I needed a new phone for my vacation this weekend and the GS2 isn't out yet. I will be returning this as soon as the GS2 hits shelves this month since it will be before my 30 day return window is up but I would like a phone with working GPS and the ablity to copy my files and put movies on it for that month... sigh I might just have to swap it at the store tonight.
As far as the Mass Storage problem some people are saying I need the drivers some people say I don't need them. I do not have them so I will download them and give that a try. Do I get them from Samsung or AT&T?
Typically live walpapers only revert when the battery is low.. its either 15 or 20%
The drivers seem to fix the not detected issue. They can be found in a number of places including here on xda. Search your model # drivers
Keep in mind that can also be a cable issue...or a usb port issue.
Are you using the samsung cable? Did you try other ports?
For gps...open gps test and hot menu.tools.manage and clear agps state
Then memu.toold.manage and download and see if that helps
There are some other tips here on xda that help as well, i dont have the links handy

Drivers shouldn't affect basic USB storage, only Kies and ADB connections.
If USB Mass Storage doesn't work it might be a problem with the PC. I know one port on my laptop HATES my Infuse. Constant USB disconnects.

Drivers shouldnt affect it...but I could swear I have read two posts that after installing them the issue was mysteriously resolved

Ok so the problem with the USB Mass storage is definitely a driver issue. I connected the USB cable to 3 PC's 2 of which were nearly identical Dell laptops all 3 had Windows 7 64bit OS. On the desktop and one laptop the device was not discovered and nothing happened. On the second laptop windows installed some drivers automatically upon connecting and the device was discovered without any issue. I then downloaded and installed Kies on the other laptop to get the Samsung drivers and after doing that windows immediately saw the device and again installed some drivers and I have had no problems connecting since. So it looks like the confusion over whether or not the divers are required is due to some builds of windows 7 64bit come with the required drivers pre-installed and some do not.
I have tried clearing/downloading new agps data 3 times but it still does not connect to the satilites it sees. I am at a loss there... it may just be a faulty device, I have read some early builds have GPS issues.

If you needed to install drivers, for some reason the device never properly entered USB Mass Storage mode (Maybe it went into MTP mode instead?), or Windows decided not to enable the Mass Storage component because it couldn't find drivers for something else.
Proper USB Mass Storage never requires a driver under any OS since Windows 98SE.

GPS: Root your phone and use fasterfix. My GPS locks on in seconds.
Mass Storage: I have no idea, mine works fine. I have W7 64bit too.
Maybe you got a lemon...because I would definitely say this is not representative of how nice a phone this one is.
I had the live wallpaper issue when I first got my phone. Turns out you have to move the live wallpapers from the sdcard to the phone to get them to stick.

[Q] Does Team Tiamat Xoom Rom support MTP/PTP?

recently i tried to connect my nikon D7000 to my xoom, but it just couldn't recognize the camera. the camera can be read by my laptop through the same cable and my xoom can mount thumb drivers and hard drivers, which implies that the otg cable and the usb cable are ok. so i searched a lot about the problem. i found that many people faces the same problem. see the following thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1142257
but there is no solution to it.
then i made a test. my mobile phone is nokia n78. it supports both massive storage protocol(is that right?) and picture transfer protocol . when i use the massive storage protocol to connect to my xoom . it works nicely, just like a thumb driver. however ,when i use ptp to connect my xoom, nothing happens to my xoom(just the same as my d7000). so i doubt whether there is some problems with ptp?
i also found that many people can connect their dslr to xoom
see

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1EwD375itw
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1287194.html
so maybe the problem exists in the rom ? or the kernel? or i need some drivers?
does anyone know how to solve the problem? or it is a known bug of tiamat rom?
anyone can help ?
Hi,
is there any update on this issue?
I have a Xoom running the UMTS_everest Nightly Build 45 of Team EOS.
I have no problem connecting USB devices to my tablet, but when I connect a camera in PTP mode to my tablet, nothing happens.

Internet over bluetooth reboot tablet

Hi,
When I decided to buy my TF300T one of the most import point was I could use internet over bluetooth since this version doesn't have 3G.
When I was on ICS I used to connect without any kind of problem .. just pair and use, simple like that.
But since I upgrade to Jelly Bean everytime I try to pair my Tablet to my cell phone the tablet abruptly reboot.
I tried everything I could think of to solve the issue:
- I did the new update to V10.4.2.13 of JB
- I removed the profile and added a new one
- I tried with another cellphone (mine is a Nokia Symbian, tried and galaxy II, same error)
- Wipe system/data
- Disabled wifi .. development mode .. usb debugging ..
- Formated my cellphone
My cellphone does allow internet over bluetooth as I was used to connect thru it everyday. I still tested on my friend's tablet (still in ICS) and it worked fine. The problem started when I upgraded from ICS to JB on my TF300T.
Does anyone have any idea what to do to get it solved?
Thank you in advance.
Leo

[FIXED] Phone not being detected on PC

Hi All,
Not posted in here for a while but always the first place i come when I have any issues.
Received my Z5 today. Everything is sweet but I cant seem to get the phone to connect to my PC so Sony Companion doesn't pick it up. There's nothing in Device manager and nothing comes up in the notification bar like it did on my Z. The phone does charge and vibrate when the USB cable is initially plugged in. Am i missing something obvious or is there something i need to do.
I have tried it on both Win 7 and Win 10. Installed the companion first on win 10 but not on Win 7. I haven't tried sony's supplied cable as i cant see this helping.... (trying it now)
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers
EDIT:
Well this has made me slightly embarrased. Tried the Sony cable and it works fine. Detected straight away and asked if i want to install the software. I will leave this here incase anyone else comes here with the same 'problem'. My dunce hat will be on for the rest of the evening.
EDIT2:
Well it turns out i was trying to use a power only USB cable. I feel like a double twat now. Feel free to remove this post to save my blushes and to keep the forum tidy.

USB file access from Windows 10

I'm posting cuz I've literally spent hours and hours searching, trying things, etc, and am stuck. I have several PQs with various CM/LineageOS ROMs. It is not a ROM issue because if I plug via USB into my desktop pc running win 10, they all work as I want. Presumably, it's a driver issue or something related to my specific laptop - I recently bought an old used laptop, originally shipped with win7. After purchase I immediately removed all partitions and installed win10 from disc (fyi, you can d/l win10 iso from microsoft and use win7 oem key to legally install fresh win10, even now the free upgrade stuff is over - that surprised me).
I cannot, no matter what I do, get file access via usb to my phone. I've tried lotsa things. I don't remember if/what I had to do to make my win10 desktop see them - maybe it was automatic, i dont remember, if it wasnt, I easily downloaded/installed what was necessary - but nothing I've tried makes my win10 laptop load the drivers, although it does detect something when I plug it in, and something else when I select MTP on the phone (vs charge). But just exclamation points in device manager and nothing in explorer. Among other things, I've tried MotorolaDeviceManager_2.5.4
It's especially annoying as I have a video on my phone I wanted to send out tonite and can't, spent another couple hours trying. Bluetooth works fine for pictures but freezes at 10% for video, no idea why. But I'd much rather just use a cable than figure out any wireless BS.
Incase it's something specific to this laptop and someone is curious, it's a Sony VPCF115FM. That 'base system device' and "unknown device" are always "!", MTP with "!" only appears when phone plugged in.
Yea definitely a driver issue. When you plug the PQ into your desktop (which seems to work) what shows up in device manager?
Have you tried to right click on the devices with yellow exclamation points and update the driver from Windows update?
I never followed up on this, but still haven't found a solution, and kinda forgot about it. It does work in PTP mode. And works for a newer Moto (Lenovo) phone on this laptop. Yes, I tried the windows 10 device manager update auto search thing (in fact, just tried it again minutes ago before I read this). I'm about to wipe and install fresh as this phone is running crazy slow lately and wanted to copy everything off before I wipe which is what reminded me of this issue - funny thing is that a google search of this problem ("mtp driver motorola photon q windows 10") found this thread as the third search result and I completely forgot I posted it. I vaguely recall I read your reply but was waiting to see if anyone else responded and then just forgot to follow up when it wasn't on my new list...
PROBLEM SOLVED! It happened in TWRP too and sideload was failing (for another reason) but made me try to figure out MTP again.
Found solution here for anyone with similar issue:

Gotta update driver and manually select "MTP USB" from list of devices, in my case I found it under portable devices.
