[Q] One S or wait? - HTC One S

As the topic states, which would you do and why? Keep using a G2x and wait to see if something nicer than the One S releases in the near future, use an available upgrade and get the grey One S when T-Mo releases it/wait for them to release the MAO version, or burn the upgrade on a SGSII.
Sent from my stock, rooted LG-P999WA using XDA Premium

The SGSIII is probably right around the corner. That's pretty much the only other phone that will trump the One S at the point. So the question to ask yourself is if you want the One S or the SGSIII.
The last thing you want to do is use your upgrade on an SGSII. If anything sell your G2X and buy an SGSII on eBay.

If only HTC would bring out the One S with 32Gb!
I'm still enjoying my original desire but really don't think I could have any less memory than my 16Gb card. I don't want a phone any bigger than the S. So come on HTC Surely they'd fly out the door, seems a pretty perfect phone in just about every other area.

Go for the one S, i mean the specs on the S3 would look promising but the design of Samsung phones are blah.

I went for the One S, haven't got it yet but don't think I'll regret the decision.
The Galaxy S3 is probably going to have an even larger screen than the S2 had, making it more of a competition for the One X - and way too large for my taste (in fact, the One S is almost too large with 4,3", too, but there's just nothing smaller out there with decent hardware anymore). I've always preferred Sense to TouchWiz, and never much liked Samsung phones in general, even though the Galaxy S2 seems to have brought massive improvements in quality and buyer satisfaction over their earlier offerings.

i was originally also waiting for the gs3 but after mwc i was obsessed with the one s. after having i for 4 days now i don't regret the decision. the cpu is extremly fast and the build quality and design of the device is just extraordinary. samsung's devices on the otger side always fail to impress me on those two points... i prevoiusly had a galaxy s which is a good device but in contrast to the one s it felt cheap and looked ugly...

ok...i help you!!!!
if u need costly and great phone....go for htc sensation xe...
if u want mid range device....go for samsung galaxy ace!!!!...gud luck.
Galaxy s2. Fo show. But make sure you're getting the one with the exynos chipset, not the snapdragon.
you can choose GSS2 for android or perhaps Nokia Lumnia for w7.... it's your choice.
SGS2 is also good.
I think it greatly depends on how soon you want to change your phone. April - May is the time when a lot of the phone companies start rolling out their latest phones. If you are looking at last generation, I would say either the Sensation XE or the Galaxy SII. As far as i know, both of them have been upgraded to ICS.
HTC has a pretty good interface with their Sense, but it tends not to be very optimized, and it is common to suffer from an exceptionally short battery life (perhaps one day with minimal to moderate use).
On the other hand, the Galaxy SII is hardware wise quite a beast, and AMOLED screen is impressive. I have issues with the design of touchwiz and the physical button at the bottom of the phone annoys me. Other than that, it has quite the battery life, so it evens out.
looking at this gen, the HTC one x is very powerful, and is meant to be HTC's flagship phone, so i'm curious why no one mentioned it. besides that, Asus entered the market with the padfone, which seems to have potential, but we have to wait and see if it will be as good as they claim. last is the samsung galaxy SIII. my vote is to wait till samsung announces its new flagship phone (rumored to be 22 may), and then decide from there.
Since you are in xda developers, i'm assuming you are not very interested in the interface anyway so just go for the one with the best computing power, and best battery.
if you are going for wp7 phones, just wait for lumia 900. the 800 looks rather sad.
of course there's always the iphone 4s or the iphone 5 if you are willing to wait till september.

I was actually thinking about getting the Sensation XE or the Galazy S2. HTC devices seem to have a lack of battery life which is why I'm leaning more towards the S2. As for the new gen of phones the only one I am really interested in is the HTC One S. As much as I would like a quad core processor in my phone, it may be very battery consuming. Not interested in iOS or WP7 so that rules those phones out. Guess I will wait untill the One S is released to see the price of the phone in comparison to the S2
HTC One X, not quite out yet, but it is incredible.
Love the HTC Sensation XE <3
Skyrocket
I love my Galaxy 2II Skyrocket, fastest and best phone I've owned in years. Flashed sky ice to it and its absolutely unbeatable.

Upgrade to HTC One S

Hi Sensation users...
I've done a search and haven't found an answer to this question.
Would it be worth it to "upgrade" from a Sensation to the One S? I know the one s is faster with the new chip but how much better overall could it be?
Also with the screen being Pentile? I've read some people say its ok but others not so. Also i haven't been able to find a comparison of the One S to the Sensation screen?
Any thoughts?
Cheers
The OneS is a decent phone, it features Sense4.
IMO its market similar to the NexusS was, in that its the flagship carrier of something new. NexusS has ICS 4.0.3. Its got basically everything that trumps all other phones. 1080pHD Video, Beats (which some might consider bad but its louder than most AOSP), quad core i beleive?
It certainly is a "all rounder" phone. As my contract with Optus is expiring too (aus) im probably going to go for it. My android enthusiast friend enjoys it very much so.
I am definitely NOT going to upgrade to the one S. In my mind it's only an incremental upgrade from the sensation in most ways, and in some it's a step backward. It's a great phone if you want something like an Iphone, but I just can't see getting a phone with only 16 gb's of storage and no removable battery. PLUS the screen isn't any different, same size AND resolution.
Don't get me wrong, the OneS is a good phone but if you've already got a sensation IMO it's not worth the upgrade. And to answer d2 above, it's only a dual core, not quad.

Haaaa, my OneS friend is a Liar! We have benchmark competitions with our androids for no reason, and he claimed that his "cpu cores" made the difference.
I agree with the notion that its an incremental upgrade. If you are buying JUST for sense4, you can have a ported rom version which works (almost) just as good on your sensation.
thanks for replies... what about the screen? do you think the pentile is that much worse than the S-LCD?
I'm not too concerned about the storage as i currently have 8gb which i don't even use up. But not being able to remove the battery is a little bit of a concern as i want to root etc... and concerned if something goes wrong how do i force a shutdown like taking out the battery?
Id wait it out another year the sensation still rocks especially with CM9 or ASAP, just think of what the next batch of phones will have instore, also heard battery life sucks on the ONE as well :-/
The CPU-Upgrade is quite noticeable. It may "just" be a dual core, but it is almost on par with the quad core of the one x. Due to the lower resolution faster in those testing with the native resolution of the device.
Screenwise... Can't say. Looked not much different than the one in the sensation. But they closed the gap between screen and digitizer, so the viewing angles are better.
Overall great phone. But I would not upgrade, since my sensation fulfills the demands I have for a smartphone.

personally my size limit is 4.3" that's why i wouldn't go to the One X. From the leaks i believe the SG3 will be 4.6 or 4.7? like the galaxy nexus? so it automatically rules it out for me.
my biggest concern in the battery life and screen on the one s. but all the reviews have said its super fast...
hmmm
Plus when you go to a "PENTILE" display from Sensation display you will see pixels. its ugly. Once you see it you cant unsee it. Its like the Droid Razr screen. Awful. origianl super amoleds suck really bad. You either need to go with super lcd 2 or Super Amoled Plus HD(hopefully galaxy III)
If I were you I would not, camera and speed is already decent on the sensation. SAMOLED is better but not enough to justify an upgrade. It does have sense 4 and ICS but you may as well wait until the next HTC flagship device to come out.
That being said I am getting the HTC One S because I'm coming over from iPhone and Sense 4 + ICS is a great way for me to get started.
I just got the T-mobile US Sensation but the One S will be out within my 30-day exchange window. I got the Sensation for free on contract. If the One S is ~$100-125 on sale anywhere, I might trade up. I can't really justify an additional $200+ for it...
Yeah I just got a sensation at a pretty good price outright new so pretty happy about that.
My contract has expired so I was thinking about getting the One S on a new contract. I could sell either one if i wasn't happy with the One S.
Thats the only reason I haven't put OrDroid on it yet although i have been using CM7 and CM9 and am very happy with them too!
I've found in stock the sensation is a little slow and i've been getting FC more times than i would like so far and its all stock.

did you guys get the sensation for free through t-mobile loyalty? I'm about to upgrade in a a few months. I'm thinking of getting the Sensation or the One S depending on the price. If they offer the Sensation for free and the One S for $150, I'll probably go for the Sensation. The main advantages of the Sensation that appeal to me are the removable battery, expansion, wifi hotspot, and potentially price. I don't see why people would upgrade to a One S if they just got the Sensation since they wouldn't be fully eligible to upgrade anyway so it wouldn't be worth it...unless they are buying it unlocked.

I got it free from Costco. Both T-mobile and Costco have the HTC Amaze for free now too. Kind of like an upgraded Sensation, but a bit bulkier. Development for it is picking up, but at the price of free it is also a great alternative to the One S.

Nah mate i'm in australia and someone got one as a gift and posted it up for cheap so i snapped it up
Haven' done anything to it yet but scouring around the dev forums to see which one i like. I am wanting to go with One S software like the OrDroid as it seems to be getting more stable. only a few niggling issues left and the fact that you can run the Sensation at 1.5Ghz is a bonus oh and the removable battery etc...
Definitely not
Can't replace the battery, no SD card extension and soon we will have a fully working sense 4.0 for the sensation which is already OC to 1.5 and up.
I'd upgrade to the One X at least it has a serious hardware upgrade.
I'll probably "upgrade" to a One S. I am really liking how thin it is and I do miss having an AMOLED display. But I'll actually decide once I get to feel and use one in my hands.
I was taking a close look at the One S specs today. It really doesn't look like much an upgrade over the Sensation at all. Same chipset family - 28nm manufacturing instead of 45nm, so it will allow a slightly higher clock speed. Benchmarks don't put it any faster out of the box the what we are getting already.
The only real difference is the dedicated imaging chip. Other than that, it is pretty much just a Sensation that ships with ICS & Sense 4.0. - one that you can't even upgrade storage or battery. Those 2 things are huge to me and the primary reason I stay away from Apple products.
It's marginal upgrade at best. Really quite disappointing.

Is getting the One X worth it...?

The One X has been out for a month already, and since I am buying from a friend, I have to drop $500 off contract for it. Is it worth getting it right now? I am going to get the iPhone 5 anyways, but I am not sure if it is worth getting the One X if a new android phone is around the corner. I have no real NEED for it, but I want to start learning how to develop apps since I know Java and C++. I would love the One X, but is now the right time to buy it? :cyclops:

If you have the money and desire, I say go for it... What do you mean when you ask if it's the right time to buy it? I don't think that there is a right/wrong time to buy it... If you wait, there will be more development done and the price might be cheaper.... If you get it now, you will own a bleeding edge phone.... It's up to you

I had the international version for a while, and it was truly stellar. Sold that, switched to iPhone, now i want it back. But do you think that if I am spending the money, I should wait a bit and get the Galaxy S3? Or this?
Is it worth waiting around a month if I don't need it really badly? Or should I jump the gun for $450?
There's always a new phone around the corner and the SGS3 vs HOX debate has been discussed ad nauseum. Play with it, and if you like it more than the iphone do it. Or go play with a SGS3 somewhere.
Don't rely on these boards to define your personal opinion for you.
That being said 450 - 500 is pretty good for a very new model phone. You can check the unsubsidized price quite easily online which should inform your asking price once you settle on what you want.
Just wondering - are these phones all for personal use or business? Why are you getting an android phone and an iphone 5? Just an enthusiast?

Enthusiast and because I'm in my high school years so I've started some app development on the iPhone and I want to see what it's like on android too. iPhone 5 just cause I have an upgrade then
If you want to play around just get a galaxy s 2 variant. Save some dough. I'd only spend the money if I were going to keep it at least a year. But then again I wouldn't get the One X because it barely has any storage
I just went from a Samsung Galaxy S II to the HTC One X (AT&T) and I love it. Not only is it quite a bit snappier, the build quality far surpasses the Galaxy S II. The only negative I can note are the non-expandable memory and beats audio does not play nice with my car stereo. I have to set the stereo to "Flat", instead of my custom setting, or there is a really loud whining noise. On headphones though, the audio is great. Overall I feel it is just a better product build quality wise, and that makes a big difference to me.
I paid only $119.88 for mine at Best Buy since they price matched WalMart for me.
Instead of $500 i would get the galaxy nexus unlocked for $399 (plus shipping+tax)
Build quality is a lot better then any galaxy phone. The only down fall to the one x is the small storage but that's why I kept my note. This is def better then any iPhone

The GNex ends up being around $450 shipped. If he can get the HOX for that price it would be downright stupid to get the GNex. It's a decent device, and but it has nothing on the HOX. Its hardware was behind the curve before it even came out.

Its a great phone, I love it. I was having a hard time deciding between the HTC ONE X and the google nexus. I ended up going with the one x. The nexus has a smaller screen and it also has software buttons as opposed to hardware buttoms. Software buttons are nice except that it takes up screen space.
There are other phones now on the market, like the Samsung GSII which has more RAM and may or may not be better than the One X. But I like this phone and I'll stick with it.
Read Anandtech's reviews for the AT&T One X and the AT&T/T-Mobile GS3.
It is really down to what you prioritize.

sometimes I wish I still had one to play with, maybe learn some devving myself.
I love my phone.
For me it was between the Galaxy Nexus GSM from the Play store or this, but as soon as I went to the store to try this out I knew I had to get it. I bought the phone for the same reasons as you (to start developing, I'm in high school as well) and I've had good success with it (check out my Evervolv ROM )
I'd say go for this but its really personal opinion.
I love the phone itself, since I had the international version (toooo priceyyy) but I really dont know about buying it second hand and whether if I wait just a month, the price will decrease to liek $350 or some mindblowing new device will come out. But there's always that possibility that I will screw myself over getting it now instead of waiting a month.
Also, do you think that the iPhone 4S is futureproofed to the iPhone 5? Is it going to be a "worth-it" upgrade to go from the 4S to the 5 when it comes out? I know there's not a lot we know for sure about the device, but from what we know so far.
Also, what will retain more value over the long run (7-8 months from now)... the One X or the Galaxy S III?
As a person who has had several androids over a short period of time (galaxy s, thrill, g note) the one x is my favorite. The batterylife and screen alone has madw it my daily driver. So I say go for it.

Do you think Nexus 4 would be a good upgrade from the One S?

So with the new announcement of the Nexus 4 and how it will work on T-Mobile's network, I've been wondering if I should sell my One S to buy the Nexus 4? Is anyone else having similar thoughts? I am really interested in the bigger screen, higher resolution, as well as the S4 Pro processor and the 2 GB of ram. The One S has served me well but waiting on an official Jelly Bean release from HTC has been a big pain, though ParanoidAndroid has helped me deal with that. I can't imagine it being supported officially when 4.3 comes out.
Just wondering what everyone else thinks of the Nexus 4 in comparison to our One S.
Sorry, I didn't realize I was posting to the General section. This should belong to the Q&A section. I tried, but I don't know how to delete or move the thread.
I feel bad for messing up.
No worries a mod will move it. But on topic yeah its a great upgrade, it has the best specs on the market right now and it's only £279 I have already decided to upgrade and we can sell are one s on eBay and get the nexus 4 for like £30 on top.

I'm actually considering the same thing. Allthough the one S is a gorgeous device with good preformance and a wonderfulll build quality. But for this price its a real bargain, and as im on a 2 year contract i doubt the one s will keep up to speed. Plus I'm afraid alot of dev will jump ship aswell (some allready are).
Pro's for getting the Nexus 4 over the one S
- Better screen, this was a mayor lackbuster for the one S
- Newest chipset, allthough the oneS is doing a great job here, there is no denying the power of the s4 pro, and the nexus has a fresh aosp on top of that.
- Huge development community behind it
Con's
- Allthough the nexus has a great camera it doesnt has the same preformance and usability (burst, 0shutterlag, ect.)
- No sense. Yes its bloat, but we can't deny the solid preformance it has nowdays, and if we look at what 4.1 did for the one X i think i rather have a fun Sense ui over a vannila blend aosp nowdays (boring).
- I think i prefer the build quality on the one S, and it looks alot better aswell.
Still with this display, preformance, newest android builds is it hard not to consider it, especially with that price. And the development behind the nexus devices are really tempting too.
I'm buying the LG nexus 4 and selling HTC One S S3 because this phone was garbage. This was my last phone from HTC.
Goodbye HTC (crap), hello Nexus 4!
I like my HOS S4 but I cant resist the S4 Pro chip and the 2 GB of ram. The only con is the lack of an SD slot like the HOS.

I really like the my HOS S4 but I'll sell my One S for about the same price of the Nexus 4.
PS: I don't care about the SD
There is just one "small" problem. It looks like in Italy the phone it will cost probably 549€ or 599€ instead of 349€ like Spain\France\Germany(via play store)...so I won't sell my One S

This pretty much sums it up. I wont buy it, as my contact lasts one year
Will probably move to it as well, main reasons are
- nexus phone therefore we get updates as soon as they are released and will be guaranteed to get them
- bigger screen
I love the one s, prefer sense to stock android, will probably have a better camera and it has way more features, prefer Samoled, better design/build etc. but HTC as a company have really let it down with support and slow updates, can't see jb hitting my phone for another 4 weeks or so....
I just need to see reviews of it first and user opinions for the audio, camera and battery life, there are reviews for the optimus g, but lg's software seems to have been very poorly optimised (software/driver optimisation is very important in these areas), although these areas still look very good anyway except the camera.
In theory the battery should be better than the s as the n4 has a next gen battery, more power efficient screen and s4 pro, the adreno 320 is more power efficient than the adreno 225
I'm tempted by it so much too just cause its a new phone lol ... But I really don't like the huge screen and I'd miss my camera too much cause the camera the HOS has is too good .. Wow, are you me? I really do love the camera on the One S and the build quality just feels excellent; the two things that I would say it has over the Nexus 4. I like the cool metal case and just how professional and solid it feel. Like you, I also had the G2x before the One S and felt like they had screwed me over (Crappy drivers, crappy camera, crappy promise of ICS, etc.). Though HTC is not so good at delivering updates, in my opinion it is the most reliable OEM out there. So i won't move to LG or Samsung. My reason is based mostly on build quality, which kida sucks on LG and Samsung when compared to HTC.
Also, i don't really see the point in having the latest gadget. The HOS S4 will still be breathing at least a year from now, the CPU and GPU are strong enough. Plus, i don't really see how a quad core will help me on a mobile phone.
The only Nexus i really miss is the original Nexus One, the HTC Desire's brother.
You do realise that lg have nothing to do with the software? All they have done is made the phone and everything regarding software is handled by Google since it's a nexus phone.
Google said they shipped the lg design team over to Google headquarters in order to work with them very closely on the design and ergonomics of the phone.
Lg make fantastic hardware and a lot of their phones are very good as usual they are let down by the poor support and awful software.
I am really thinking about selling my One S S3 and getting a Nexus 4. I seems to be a very good phone.

I would definitely agree if you have the One S S3. It would be a significant speed bump and there probably isn't a significant con to the Nexus 4 that the One S doesn't share (non-removable battery, no SD card, etc.). I think the S4 version would be a tougher decision as to whether or not to upgrade to the Nexus 4.
Im getting the Nexus 4 the second I have the funds.

But I'm too lazy to find someone who wants to buy it. And I don't want to sell it for under 300€.

My thoughts exactly although I still have my N1, it will always be the one I never let go.
The speed and performance on this phone is outstanding and well asop has become very boring and old. Sense for me was a very big suprise as its come such a long way and just gets better. For me I'm sticking with my One S.

Lol, no way you will get 300 euros for a S3 one S, when you could get a S4 one S for that.
Especially if you have the black model, which has chipping issues.
Only way is if you can find someone around your area who don't have a clue about tech/android stuff.

HTC one vs Samsung Galaxy S4

If you had an upgrade what would you choose.........
My choice would be the one. I like the LCD screen found on the DNA. I have alot of faith in the 4 Ultra pixel camera. I want a phone that doesn't feel like a child's toy. The quadrant scores on the One were amazing, although I'm sure the S4 will come close. What would you choose?
FYI: all phones have ultra pixels, however there 1.1. The ones found on the One are 2.0. Just saying

HTC uses perfect materials, it feels great when you hold it in your hand
Currently on an htc phone and with HTCs inability to update software in a timely fashion that makes me question them all together.
I have a samsung tablet but I am leaning towards the S4 due to samsung overall being the better product and updating things in a timely manner.
It took htc nearly a year to get ics on this and it's horrible for everything.
Go with Samsung. Overall it's just better supported and more highly recognized

Wait, so we should get a device based on what is more recognized? That's an awesome view you have there, lol!
Wondering what was so bad with ICS? I have an Amaze the wife uses and runs fine, funny she has actually had 3 OTA updates compared to my two on my s3.
I can't wait till the One drops! Definitely my next phone for sure.
Oh and you think HTC uses plastic now? The One is all aluminum....wow, so misinformed....

Well currently the htc one isn't available on my carrier. So the best phone available is the S3 and soon to be S4. I don't hate htc I just could care less to stick with them
And it's called my opinion for a reason. If you don't like it then that's your opinion

The event for the unpacking of the GS4 was ridiculous! Seriously I watched the hole "show" and I was awaiting for the new killer feature that would erase the concurrents.
First of all, the design. Some of you may say "don't change the lineup of a working team" but personally I'm tired of the same designs with Samsung devices lately. It's the same on the GS3, on the note 2 and now on the GS4 ? Show some innovation Samsung!
I love Android, I never had an iPhone and never wanted one, but from the design, iPhone 5 is way better built.
HTC really got that and the amazing device that is the ONE is the proof.
You can't say "yeah I choose my device because it'll have more updates!". Wrong!
Every high marketed device comes with killer features ! 2gb of RAM? That's normal now. 32 or 64 gb of storage / 5 inch screen? Normal too...
The thing is they all look alike in a hardware point of view, that's why nowadays the design is very important.
A good design means a device built with beautiful and premium materials and that the device's design changes from the device that came out before.
Samsung didn't get that. Although the S series of Samsung is gonna sell at uncomputable numbers every one knows that, I don't think it's a major need to upgrade from the s3 to S4 because I just don't see the point except waisting money.
I think it may attract some of those who will walk in a store and see the device (thanks to the amazing job of marketing that Samsung always does) but for those who were waiting it to be a great and revolutionary device, the disappointment is the real feeling.
HTC ONE is the killer smartphone of 2013's beginning, sorry Samsung you'll do better next time. Or not ^^
Wrote a lot, if you agree with me let me know and if you disagree i'll be holding my breath awaiting your arguments !

Me getting S4. Although HTC One has better build quality but for everything else, HTC is not the company I would bet on. It will probably never get updates after one or two.
On the other side Samsung is adding more and more features in each update and from last year when I purchased S3, I already got 3-4 updates. Plus they already working on another one with all these latest features.
On hardware side, I think S4 has upper hand on HTC One. Battery is larger, processor is faster, S4 Screen is bigger but phone is little smaller. S4 Screen is better. Not to mention expendable microSD slot and replaceable battery.
So I would not want a phone with better built quality but strong specs and better features.
I think that's the main reason why I switched from iPhone to S3 in the first place. I know a lots of people might hate me for saying this but iPhone has best build quality among all phones out there.
So definitely Galaxy S4.
I said " I love Android, I never had an iPhone and never wanted one, but from the design, iPhone 5 is way better built."
So please understand my sentence as it sound ^^
I'll say again maybe in other words this time, when you grab an iPhone 5 and when you grab a S3, don't tell me that the S3 has a more premium look and feel... And that's not a question of opinion, that's a fact.
I never mentioned the prices of the devices but if you want to, we'll see the price of the S4, when they'll show it at 699$ then you'll tell me the difference with the iPhone. The only device that is worth talking on a price basis is the Nexus 4. The rest of'em are just a scam

what HTC have done with the ONE is ground breaking on both hardware and software,no other company has changed its hardware software so radically from its previous flagship device. With out HTC and the like apple and samsung's upgrades would be even less

iPhones honestly aren't worth the price no matter how discounted they are.
While they may be built better your comparing apples to oranges. No pun intended on the apple thing.
But really I think we can all mostly agree here that android overall is better.

Well it's probably true for new buyers. But for a experienced users, it matters.
When I switched S3 from iPhone, I didn't actually know about all this. I had option to choose S3 or HTC One X and I went with S3 because it's more popular and had better support.
From what I learn in last year, I could never buy HTC or Motorola phones.
These companies never support their devices. They even lock bootloaders so we cannot update our devices ourself or install updated custom roms.
I am also a little disappointed with S4 release but I would pick S4 over HTC one any day.

This was exactly like last year for me.
I wanted a phone with huge storage capacity/microSD capacity and long battery life/removable battery with decent specs. And QWERTY but I have given up on the last thing.
The HTC One X was released and as pretty as the White one was, it definitely was not a purchase I was willing to make and I waited for the Samsung Galaxy S3 announcement. The announcement came and Samsung gave me what I wanted. I bought the S3.
Fast forward this year. HTC One announced. Still no microSD slot but looks like decent battery life. Looks very pretty too (I still think the white One X is the best looking HTC phone though). Not bad this time around HTC but let's wait to hear from Samsung. S4 gets announced and again, they have what I want from last year.
If I was choosing again between HTC or Samsung this year: Samsung Galaxy S4 because it has what I want from last year.
Luckily I want more stuff this year which is why I'm not going to buy a S4. My S3 is lovely and I don't need to buy an S4. However, I now really want a bigger screen. This year, I'll be looking to buy a Note 3 or competitor version as long as it has a huge screen, huge capacity/microSD, huge battery.
Honestly, I don't care what company you are or even what your phone looks like (I bought the S3 for god sakes). Just give me what I want and I'd buy it. I'm also eyeing the Blackberry Q10 simply because of the QWERTY but I think my lust for a bigger screen will win out. Plus the stylus is alright...right?

I will probably get Note 3. I also do not rule out possibility to get S4, if I get some cool discount.
