More than a shell than a case but my preferred solution since years:

It's with a microfibre inlay so it cleans your screen every time you take it out of the shell.
Unfortunately only in German but Google translation should help.

There's two on Mobile Fun, a Flexishield Skin and the Case-Mate Tough Case. Both are in stock but the Tough Case doesn't have an image yet? Others too but not for weeks.

I see Zagg have an invisible shield available for the HTC One S on their website http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/htc-one-s-t-mobile-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
Anyone have any thoughts? Considering getting the maximum protection one for my replacement handset once I manage to get a swap.

add the zagg and the Cruzer Lite A2
has anyone manage to find like a desktop cradle/dock for the htc one s?
Does anyone have first hand experience with the ZAGG Shields. They offer screen only, screen and back and full coverage which is claimed to cover front back and all edges.
I wonder how the application process is with this kind of material? Is it some kind of smart material that folds around the corners while applying pressure or heat and then sticks firmly? Or do you get delivered three "shields", front, back and thin slices that you need to align very carefully around the edges so nothing overlaps?
Our device has a lot of slight curves and "weird edges" so any firsthand experiences would be welcome.
I am trying to avoid any sort of gel cases cause they feel icky, and also I do not think that any sort of hard plastic case will get my love cause it takes away a lot of the slim feel of the device. Of course they would offer better drop protection, but that is not my main worry.
The main reason I am looking is that I am starting to hate the fingerprint smudged that are so clearly visisble on the ceramic surface. I would order it "on the benefit of doubt" to test but as of now the distributors in Europe / Germany do not seem to have it in stock. Ordering from overseas, with shipping/handling and import tax will double the price to me and sending it back then if i dislike it is pointless...

Im looking for the same thing :/
Received the Zagg Invisible Shield today, and just finished fitting it. Must admit that I'm disappointed with the fit of the screen protector, to the point that I have taken it off again. It must only cover about 90% of the screen, and I didn't really like the feel of it once it was on. Quite tacky and doesn't let your finger slide over the screen very easily.
The rest of it I have kept on for now, but again it totally changes the feel of the phone, I have the MOA black version. It now feels very tacky, but I feel this may be a good thing as it doesn't slide in the hand as easily. This may help owners of the Grey version which is reportedly quite slippery. It also doesn't cover the edges where the chipping has been noticed by some owners, so don't buy this thinking it will protect against the chipping problems.
I'm just going to keep using mine as normal, and if I get the chipping again I'll exchange for the grey version and get a replacement Zagg Shield to help with the slipperyness.
It was quite tricky to fit, but once it's on the phone you can slide it into position quite easily, but it is quite hard to get it to conform to the curves and edges. I went for the full protection which gives 2 sections for the back, one for the top front round the speaker and the screen protector.

I had Invisible Shield on my MyTouch 3G (HTC Sapphire) and I wasn't a fan. I had it on all sides of the phone and it was constantly peeling at the edges. Then, dust would get underneath the corners. Also, after about a year with it on it started to turn yellow. Also, I found I had to press a lot harder for it to recognize my input. After a while I was used to it but honestly, I don't think it was worth it. I removed it maybe six months back and my phone is still in good condition. I don't have any experience with other screen protectors so they may be better options out there, but I would skip invisible shield.
Regarding screen protector, I bought the genuine one from ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221002245405?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Always go for HTC genuine one and used lots of cheap ones none of them did the job properly.
This one fits so well it even makes the installation a bit difficult and you need to be patient, just calm yourself down, sit comfortably, and practise a lot before installation. Try to be as steady as possible and you are good to go.
It took me only once to put the previous one on my incredible s but twice on one s due to larger screen. But the result is remarkable you won't regret it.

I've requested a casemate barely there case. (Also missing from the list.)
Would love to post it a link, but the forum's labelled me as a noob.
What MHL adapter is everyone getting/using?

Really after a case to keep my phone in pristine condition but seeing as no shops in town have accessories yet I don't really want to buy completely blind online.
How many people have bought a case for their Sensation? If you have would you be able to give a link to which one you bought and a quick review of it?
Mobilefun has just got 2 different case-mate options in stock, I was thinking of going for their 'barely there' case for £15.95 - anyone ordered one of those yet?
My other two options are either waiting for the official HTC TPU case to come in stock or mobilefun have their own case which looks quite good for £10 - just called 'frosted back cover' but not sure if that'll be as good quality as the others.
Any recommendations?
I'm after something a bit rubberised but not floppy like silicone ones, quite a moulded fit round the back of the phone and preferably without adding too much bulk.
Bought mine from ebay, gel case under 2 quid. I am satisfied with it.

Also just got in from the factory high gloss black and high gloss smoke (no pattern). Clear GeoTPU and High Gloss Grey will be coming later in the month.
All of our Sensation cases have a cutout for the power button and a molded volume rocker. Thin, lightweight... weigh about 21 grams, raised wrap around edges.
And High Gloss Smoke (no-pattern)....
Thats pretty nice-looking! Hope it will be available on amazon germany soon. I like the pattern on the back.

I do put them on Amazon but I only have US shipping options on there. I had done worldwide before but Amazon gives customers an estimate of I believe 14 days for First Class Mail, and in my experience MANY packages take longer then that to certain destinations depending on customs. This causes customers to be very upset when they dont have their case after 14 days. Not good for feedback
Looks nice, but I'm in the UK, preferably after something with more of a matte finish too
Those are exactly what I want. I'll be grabbing a black one when they go up.
Very nice! Just put my order in for a smoked one. ;-)

Are you the maker of those? I just bought one on ebay. I love TPU cases.
Interesting. I have a very similar looking case (but not an official tpu one).
Mine doesn't have any of the small circular cut-outs near the camera and the speaker on the back, nor for the double small holes near the bottom of the case.
What am I missing out on?!
I've bought an official one on Play but at this rate I'm thinking it's going to be closer to Christmas before I see it. I'm more interested as to whether it will actually add something to the phone and make it easier to hold. The phone just seems too thin and slippery at the moment; I don't trust myself holding it!

I ordered this on Monday, and it already arrived today. It looks and feels great on my phone. thanks!
You guys should be careful with these hard tpu rubber kind of cases. I bought on from eBay and I thought it was perfect
It fit really nice and felt good but when I took it off and looked at my phone
I saw some very very small almost invisible scratches from the edge of the case where the lip touches the edge of the glass on the phone
On my phone on the thin black piece that goes between the glass and back casing.
So I decided to buy another case but got a soft silicon case just to make sure it wont scratch my phone

Should have left the power button covered. I like it better keeps the button finish from wearing. too bad I liked the case but oh well.
Hey guys,
I'm just wondering if there's any advantage of getting a case for the sensation at all?.. Since unlike other phones, the battery cover of the sensation is practically the shell itself. So why not just get a replacement battery cover for ~$50 on ebay when your original one is scratched and save all the hassle?

Just received my case today. It's looking really great and feels good.
In my opinion the volume rocker is very hard to use, I can't press it like I used to. There seems to be a certain position where it can be used easily, may take some time to get used to.
Also the power button is a bit hard to reach. having it covered, like the volume rocker, would probably have made it easier to press.
Doing hours of research on all diffrent types of cases i can apon the theory that case-mate are some of the best cases for the phone.. but i can across these Pop! branded hard cases and wanted to know if anyone else has one or seen one in the wild and what there thoughts are.. I love the case, I have the black and grey version and I've been using it for just over 2 weeks now. The grey is a nice soft tactile grip and the main part of the case is a nice hard and smooth rubber compound that feels more like plastic then rubber. Fits the phone very nice, and its a dream to hold on to. But its a pain to take it out if you ever need to get access to the battery or memory card.
The only real con I found is that glossy black plastic scratches easily and shows the scratches but better the case then my phone.
Buttons are very easy to push and you don't have to struggle with them.
Now I have had one accident since I've had my case and I know it saved my phone from damage.
If there was an Otterbox Defender for out phone it would be over $60 and provide about the same protection. I'd would recommend this case.
I don't understand how people scratche their HTC!
Its the only devices that have unscratchable materials,I had an N1, DHD and now Sensation with no cases...never had any single scratches (apart the N1 screen)

If you haven't made the purchase yet, take a look at the Seidio Active case for the sensation. I've had it about a week now and it is a fantastic case. Also I have received Tough Case and Barely There Case today from case-mate.
I can say POP! case is far the best, gives the best protection.
Barely There case is even funny. It has almost no protection from dropping the phone. It just makes 1mm protection from scraches.
And the tough case is like cheaper version of POP! version. And there isn't so much gum or silicone whathever the material inside is in the tough case that it is in POP!.
POP is far the best case for me yet (from case-mate production).
Another Coupon for site-wide 25% discount.

Really minimalistic look and feel.
Or get a :

Or if you want to shell out some money:

Do not buy the OtterBox, always loved her, but the sensation was very bad. Case mate beautiful
I hate to be one of "those" people but theres already at least 2 very helpful CASE threads, lots of info and lots of pics so go to search and check them out.
i think that case-mate have many cases that are beautiful and enough proofing for Sensation.
There are mesh cases on ebay for about 2$.
I'm not sure how they will handle a fall, but they will protect the back cover from scratches.
Here is an example:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/250990237606?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
edit:
Just came home from work and the case was in the mail box.
My first impression is:
The case looks GREAT! The phone fits very well. there are holes for all the antennas (all the case is full of holes). I don't think it will protect your phone from a fall to the floor, but it will definitely protect it from scratches on the back cover AND on the screen! It has about 0.5-1mm "rail" on the screen side so when the phone is up side down, the screen does not touch the surface. It is possible to remove the back cover without taking off the case. I think the holes will help the phone to cool off.
I will try to post some pictures later if any one is interested.
If you don't mind waiting about 10 days, best bargain I've found IF you want a very thin and minimalistic case WITH Screen protector, here you go:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/TPU-Silicon...875643?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item1c20d468bb
I ordered about a dozen for myself and coworkers. I got them at 1.99 shipped each, but they went up just a bit. For that price, get a few different colors.
Nice, tight fit and all holes are unobstructed and well cut out.
Never buying a hardcase again!
Never buying a hardcase again!
Sure the mesh ones look awesome but that's it, I bought 1 from ebay and it broke around the volume buttons within days of receiving.
Got a replacement from the seller and same thing!
Ended up getting a full refund.
Bought a $30 solid hard case from my local Optus Store (I'm an Aussie), was great for a few weeks then it too broke, they offered me a replacement but I opted for the full refund.
Totally disillusioned with hard cases!
Now I am about to test one of the TPU Clear Silicon Cases, fingers crossed it does the trick and doesn't some how melt and fuse itself to my Sensation XE.
Ballistic
I bought this case from amazon and the pics online look weird but in person its a nice looking case and solid feel and weight to it. http://www.amazon.com/Ballistic-SA0...sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330012302&sr=8-1-spell

The case came in yesterday, it's mediocre.
The case is securely in place but not very secure, it's fairly easy to take the phone out of it. It is thin so that means that it doesn't cover the front of the phone at all.
Also the camouflage paint doesn't go to the edges
I would be careful; in my experience cases will compound wifi problems with this phone (as in block the antenna). With my two cases I can never achieve a full 3 bar Wi-Fi signal.

seidio cases are great. 2 piece case, one with rubber gel case and a attachable back stand.

I would be careful; in my experience cases will compound wifi problems with this phone (as in block the antenna). With my two cases I can never achieve a full 3 bar Wi-Fi signal.

I have something like that but sold it. It's a great case for the cash, but you can see even in the pic on ebay that the top button is not aligned properly. Other than that those cases are my 3rd fav case.

Looks decent but looks like a lint magnet. But if you are ok with it, then that's what matters right?

That's my travel case. Great case. But my fav at the moment is the clear aprolink hybrid case. It's pretty much plastic with tpu trim for grip. The only drawback is that the rubber easily scratches, but I can't see it.

Hey all, I saw that these became available recently. I was thinking about getting one for when I do rougher activites but was concerned about taking away from the slimness of the phone. I already have the OEM HTC matte black slim case. Anyone get this yet or have any feedback on it's build quality, size, weight and fit/finish?
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

I am interested as well. I figure the slimness of this phone will help making any decent case that much more appealing. My friend has a case on his S2 and that thing is a BEAST.
im in the same boat. Since the phone is so small, i figured that the otterbox couldn't add that much heft to it. Now i'm anxiously waiting!!
HD2: 4.76" x 2.64" x 0.43"
One S: 5.15" x 2.56" x 0.31"
As you can see, the HD2 was pretty slim for a 4.3" phone, and the defender turns it into a 5.1" x 2.93" x 0.8" beast. It does however protect in every way possible, with lenses over the camera and flash, some sort of rubber membrane over the speakerphone, a rubber flap over the ports, a built in hard screen protector, and soft rubber stretched over strong plastic everywhere else. It comes with a belt holster that rotates and allows the phone to be securely snapped in face first, back first, or rotated 180* and functions as a dual angle kickstand in portrait or landscape. The whole thing is surprisingly light given its strength, but it had one big drawback that otterbox has hopefully resolved by now: it was far too easy to get contaminants underneath the screen protector, and once there it was very difficult to keep clean, clear, and smudge free.
Given the cost difference and my preference to go without a screen protector I'm saving for the case mate tough case, and for day to day use I'm happy with my diztronic.
For the Commuter case the dimensions on Otters site are 5.4 in x 2.81 in x 0.56 in
For the Defender Case the dimensions on Otters site are 5.48 in x 2.89 in x 0.67 in
The Dimensions for the One S: 5.15" x 2.55" x 0.31"
Both cases add size but IMO they won't make this phone a brick.
I don't have either of the otterbox cases for this phone, I do have the Ballistic though. The ballistic is most similar to the Otterbox Defender series. In my opinion the case does not not a significant amount of bulk to the phone and it still fits very comfortably in my pocket as well a stand I have on my desk. I can provide pictures of it if your are curious.

Please post pics of it when it arrives, I'm concerned that it has the built in screen protector cover that is normally on the defender not the commuter series.

still waiting on the defender. i really want the belt holster. But cant wait to see pics of the commuter case as well
just ordered my commuter series case, had one for my evo before i switched to an HD2. I think a little bit of extra security is worth it over cosmetic appeal of slimness. Just my thoughts
Just got my commuter case this morning ill try to post some pics later tonight. This is my first otterbox case and as far as looks I really don't like how it looks, but I gues it gets the job done. The case doesn't really add to much bulk, it just as wide as my d30 case and you don't really lose to much thinness.

Commuter is good comes with a screen protecter and the inside is made of rubber and the out of some weird rough plastic, overall the case is good for any kind of drops, thickness wise its as big as an n1 with no case

Quick question, is the case 1 piece or 2 pieces that snap together to fit the phone? I can't tell and wasn't sure after looking at the website.
rubber for the cover, hard plastic for the frame, 2piece and a screen protector but fugg that it leaves a dirty imprint after u take it off
Loving my commuter case ...dropped my phone from 3 ft not a scratch anywhere on the case feels good

Has anyone picked up the Defender? I'm fairly certain that the One S is going to be my next phone but I work construction currently and that can be pretty hard on phones (Actually, my Milestone/Droid held up very well...Desire Z not so much). The two threads in the main forum about the screen breaking easily are worrying me a bit and an Otterbox is going to be a necessity here.
Is the Defender THAT much bigger than the Commuter? And apart from the clip, is it really that much more durable? I've checked the site and read what's there, but looking for real world experience from users (of both the One S and previous phones here).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Greetings everybody,
so after I pre-ordered my HTC U12+ Translucent Blue, and am currently waiting for a review unit, I started ordering some cases to compare and see which one I'll go with on my all new HTC U12+. I dicided to share my first orders, and to review them as they arrive, updating this thread accordingly.
What I ordered:
QULLOO Clear - Shock absorbing TPU Case
MEINOUXU Slim Rubber Frosted Matte Plastic - Hard Case
What contributers ordered:
Poetic Carbon Shield by @jrocka312
Moonmini PU Leather Case by @tbalden
Tudia Slim Fit EXTREME by @MrN1484
mumbi TPU Frosted Case by @SuperFredF
I will add to this list, as either I'm getting new cases, or you are adding new ones with your own reviews. For the later case, I'll post a linkt to your post in the OP, and add it to the list.
Now have fun reading and participating at this thread.

1) [QULLOO] Crystal Clear - Shock absorbing TPU Case
In the low-budget segment there are, as usual, a large number of cases. I usually use one until I receive my higher quality, pre-ordered cases - like something from Spigen. The QULLOO TPU Softcase differs significantly from the Spigen Liquid Crystal Case. Although this case also comes with a so-called Dottet Buffer surface on the inside, instead of the air cushions in the Spigen Case, it has clear thickening at the corners, and a matt reinforcement in the area of the Edge Sense 2.0 sensors.

In the test, however, the matt reinforcement was quite a hindrance. If the U12+ recognizes the short squeeze, as well as the squeeze and hold action correctly, there were always problems with the double tap action, because it was not recognized right away.
Test result: good (2)
2) KingShark Transparent TPU Case
Another case in the low-budget segment is the KingShark Transparent TPU Case. It is significantly thinner than the cases of QULLOO, or spigen, but also comes in a so-called dottet buffer surface inside. This prevents, as in the case of the Spigen Liquid Crystal Case, unsightly blistering and/or staining between the smooth surface of the HTC U12+ and the case as such.
Furthermore, it does not possess "Air Cushion Technology"
Test result: good (2)
1) [HTC] Transparent - Hard Case
Review in the works.
2) [MEINUOXU] Slim Rubber Frosted Matte Plastic - Hard Cover
As with TPU cases, there is an almost endless selection in the low-budget segment of hard cases - especially on portals like AliExpress. In order to have an alternative, and thus independent comparison possibility, to the supplied HTC Crystal Clear Hardcase, I also ordered some cases via AliExpress in this case - since each one only cost about 0,80 €. The cases have a decisive disadvantage compared to the HTC hardcase: they lack the necessary cut-outs in the area of the edge sense sensors. Furthermore, the cutouts for the volume buttons and the power button do not match the positions on the frame of the HTC U12+.
A test was not necessary due to the shortcomings mentioned above.
Test result: insufficient (6)
I'm really curious about how much attention case and screen protector companies give the U12+ due to HTC's decreased popularity.
Does anyone know if the screen has a curve to it at all? I'm real worried we will be in another situation that you can't find a decent tempered glass. I guess that's for another thread though.
No official accessories?
No official accessories I know of at least. Well there is one of course: the clear hard case coming in the box! Will add this right away.
Glad there are one or two Spigen TPU cases upcoming, as I really love to have those on my phones.

I will be buying both spigen cases. Let ya'll know what I think when I can. I hope incipio decides to make a 2 or so cases for us.
OP update.
Added first impressions to the cases that I already received. This OP will for sure be a WIP - Work in Progress - until my U12+ has been in use for at least 1 - 2 months.
Greetings

The glass appears to be entirely flat until the edges, until it forms an M9-esque 90 degree bend and goes into the aluminum body. Think as if the entire front portion of the M9 were glass.
At least, that's what I'm getting out of the pictures that have come out so far.

I'm finally going to get this one https://www.amazon.de/Moonmini-Rück...UTF8&qid=1528978613&sr=1-14&keywords=u12+plus
This looks like good protection and somewhat I like its leather style.
I'll get a transparent one on the longer run, once the bigger names start to ship them.

Great choice when it come to design. Looking at the matt black one since a few days. Still didn't order it. Seems a little bit flexible at the sides which would be positive for Edge Sense and double tap I guess.

Not yet. But such a case might be a problem when it comes to Edge Sense and its usability. Thus I went with TPU crystal clear cases, which IMHO did a good job in protecting my U11 and still keep the Edge Sense sensors working.

I've got same question man... I don't understand HTC's sales policy sometimes....
I just ordered the Poetic Karbon Shield. Should receive both the case and phone tomorrow. Will update with my thoughts. https://www.amazon.com/Poetic-Karbon-Shield-Absorbing-Texture/dp/B07C6YW9CT/ref=sr_1_1_sspa/145-2051360-8800628?ie=UTF8&qid=1530103836&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=poetic+htc+u12&psc=1
Sorry for the delay. I have been using the Poetic Karbon Shield for 10 days now and I have to say it is great! It does not inhibit Edge Sense from working and does not have any negative impact on the haptic buttons for power and volume. The case does have a nice lip around the entire screen to protect it when face down. There is an ample amount of buffer between the case and camera as well. The texture on the back and sides is not slippery and allows for a nice grip when holding the phone. The cutouts are all perfect. The case most definitely gives me more confidence than then included OEM case. It does not make the phone that much more bulky. I really like this case!
My opinions so far:
Poetic Karbon Shield : 8
Ringke FUSION-X: 9
HTC OEM Case: 4
I see the spilgen case is now in stock the Spilgens own site, so hopefully will be on Amazon uk soon
