I think you can not re install apps and games with Zune. When I try to do that it says already purchased.I can re-install with my phones marketplace though. But re-installing games which are large in size using phone's data connection is a huge problem.Any way around?please help.
Games which are bigger in Size will never get downloaded over the data connection. Its built in rule with Windows Phone. You need to connect over WIFI to download them.
Also, download re-installer from the market place. It will list all apps that you had previously so you can select them to download.

Reinstaller queries your marketplace purchase history and gives you a check list of every app you've installed. You can then mark/unmark as you wish, then begin the install process.

I wish there was a hack for that. I have a unlmited data plan but, if I am on the road with no wi-fi avaiable, I can't buy and play a new game. Sorry but, I think it should give a warning "This game is really large at XXmb, could cost you extra charges, etc"
Or is there a way to "fool" WP7 that your data connection is a Wi-fi connection ?

New Market. http://market.android.com.
UPDATE: We can sign in now. When going to download an app it offers a list of what device to install it to. My only Android device is my G Tablet and the market lists it as NVIDIA VEGAn-Tab-V1.0.0.B5.1.
Technically an web-based app market should offer us an "full" app market, no? i'm sure every app is visible, i guess the question now is after we log in will the app market recognize our device and attempt to block certain apps from us, or would an app that doesn't show up on the Gtab just give us an app not found when we click on it from the Gtab browser?

Correct when trying to sign into market.android.com you get a invalid request both on the PC and Gtab and Phone.
They mentioned that when you select an app, it will list the available devices you can push it to, based off your registered devices features and OS.
I take this to mean that if you can't see it in the Market on your device.....your device want be listed as a choice to install for those apps on the web.
Oh..and this is typically for you to do from your home/work/public library computer.....browse the apps, select what you want and it installs to your phone. You still use the "Market" app on the devices (phones/tablets).

I wonder if this will be unusable for people with devices that aren't intended to have access to the Market like our beloved G Tabs. Will Google let you OTA install to a device that they think shouldn't be there?
Invalid Request

If all the apps aren't showing up, just use the market hack. Go to the task manager, force stop and clear the browser cache and reboot.

There are still apps that don't show up, even after the Market hack.
Just curious:
Let's say I purchased an app from the Marketplace, and it was later delisted. Using Windows Phone Device Manager, I can back up the individual files for my apps, but is it possible to also restore them? Say I had to do a hard reset, or uninstalled an app, not realizing it was delisted. Is it possible to put the app back on my phone? Additionally, it's my understanding that pirated Xbox Live games will not have achievements available to them. Therefore, if there IS a way to restore apps that I've uninstalled (or otherwise lost), will it enable Xbox Live functionality if it's backed up from my phone and restored to my phone?
I did a search of the forums, but didn't find an answer, so I apologize if this has already been asked. Thank you for your time.
This won't work. There's more to an app than just its install files; it also needs to be registered with the AppMgr (this is what does things like put it in the app list) and also needs a security chamber (basically, a user account) created with custom permissions (each app runs in a different chamber).

So there's no way to ever reinstall a deleted app if it's no longer in the Marketplace? ... Damn. That sucks.

There should be if you check your dl history on the WP site. You can redownload apps from there and if it works anything like the Xbox marketplace, this will include delisted apps. Haven't had to do it myself yet, so cannot be sure but worth a try.

FYI, the Marketplace does not work like that for WP7. If you try to redownload an app that you previously had (free or paid) that is NO LONGER on the Marketplace, with the Reinstaller App for example, it will not find the files to do the download.
However, if you know who the developer is/was, might be able to contact them and have them send you the XAP....
Hi Guys,
I have modified the original Ingress app so that it works with any GPS spoofer available on play store.
It will NEVER give you "Scanner Disabled; Location Inaccurate".
Prerequisites :
Uninstall original app
Install this one
http://goo.gl/CtiZmz (1.62.0)
On device, DOES NOT MATTER if "Allow mock locations" in Developer menu is On or Off.
Start your GPS spoofer. (NO NEED to put this app in system/app or system/priv-app. It works from anywhere)
ENJOY
Be careful. Dont jump too much or you might annoy the server and get banned.

1. I hacked because I can.
2. Yes, its cheating but I saw there is a lot of demand for this. Its also a challenge to Google/Niantic to protect its app from such hacks
3. Yes, I would like to get some compensation for the time I invested in this hack and IT IS NOT MANDATORY. Donate, if you like to.

Good luck. If you have to cheat in a game, then you probably shouldn't be playing.
This is not really a 'challenge' to Google. I do hope that everyone knows that if you're using a cheat in Ingress, then you will get the ban stick.
dont work here. I have set mock location enabled and fake my gps position and after running your mod I got the message that mock locations disallowed. please ensure it is disabled.

Update : You will not get this message now with the app update of 21st August.
When you get this message, click on "disable" which will take you to developer Options. Check or Tick "Allow Mock Locations" if it is unchecked. Repeat if necessary. It will surely work. I have tried it on Fake GPS by "Lexa"

I think registration should NOT fail. I have not tried that. IF it fails, install original app, register with that, then uninstall and intall my app.

Paypal says you cant receive payments to your account.
Ingress is a massive waste of time, let's just get that out there.
That said, I tried it once and was pissed off I couldn't use my bluetooth GPS. It's much more accurate and uses a lot less battery than the built-in phone GPS.
So if I did play the game.... I'd "cheat" this way too. Just because you CAN use mock locations doesn't necessarily mean you're armchair-playing... You could be using a bluetooth GPS.
That said, most bluetooth GPS apps these days have instructions on how to install as a system app (root required of course) which allows them to work without mock locations.

2 options:
If your computer has a wifi receiver, it's also actually a transmitter, and you can use a program such as mHotspot or Virtual Router to broadcast a wifi hotspot from your home broadband through your computer. It can be a bit glitchy, and your speeds won't be as good as your actual broadband, bu
Or, if your phone is rooted, you can reverse tether it via USB. This method is rather complicated though, might not work with your phone, and might not work with large games/apps that require a cellular data connection or wifi to download (although you can trick this into working with Xposed and the Fake Wifi module). Again, it's quite complicated, but if your PC doesn't have built-in wifi, you don't have any other choice to try.

Certain apps like modality and apps widget are not showing up on the samsung app store... why is that? Are apps country specific and if so why? Why would samsung cut of parts of the world on basic apps like typing apps etc? Why not have one big store... also is there a way to bypass this restriction?
I have the same issue. As if the number of apps for Tizen aren't already limited enough, Samsung limits app availability/visibility for different parts of the world.

yes. you can bypass it.... first.... connect through a VPN app to a node in the USA. second, pull out your simcard.. third, go into settings --> applications --> galaxy app store and erase all data...
then go into the Galaxy App Store and BOOM! you're in the US store... there you can even purchase stuff using you samsung account. make sure you install purchases on your watch while in the US store...
after you finish, disconnect the vpn and insert your simcard. your purchases will carry over, meaning, you won't loose them... if you need to reinstall them or purchase anything else, just repeat the process...
Enjoy!
