Hi,everyone.
I've rooted my i9003 and didn't flash any rom and kernel.
In this morning, I clicked into the "System update", and there is a update available,
so I downloaded that update file and the phone starting to reboot to the update mode, but few seconds later, the monitor become red in colour and shows " Software update Fail! Kernel verify Fail"
and the phone doesn't turn on.
What should I do? It still can access to the download mode
Thank you for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The same thing just happened to me. I tried flashing the rom with odin but nothing changed. Help!

Try a usb jig if you cannot go into download mode. You can even make your own usb jig. Just try searching youtube on how to make a usb jig or you can have it from ebay.

Hi,
I have a i9003 that ran on stock 2.2.1 ROM and I've been having serious SOD problems.
Updated to 2.3.5 ZHKPD last night using KIES. The update was successful but gave me screen blackouts during calls (screen and buttons turned all black whenever I start a call. I heard voice but was never able to turn on the screen again) in addition to SOD problems.
I have then downloaded Odin 1.83, and "I9003ZHKPD_I9003ZZHKP9_I9003XXKPM_HOME.tar" from here and tried to flash my phone again after reading a lot of guides on this forum.
I got a "Can't open the specified file" error from Odin (see attachment). Now when I turn on my phone all I see is a picture with a phone and a computer.
Was the re-partition cause of the problem?
Can someone here please let me know what I can do? To get 2.3.5 back into my phone?
Thanks in advance.
Did u flash XXKPE beefore flashing ???
If you have then try downloading the firmware from another source
I haven't - the "I9003ZHKPD_I9003ZZHKP9_I9003XXKPM_HOME.tar" file is the only one I tried to flash.
It's phone from Hong Kong and I do want to keep something from the stock firmware, such as the Chinese input.
What do you suggest I should do next?
flash it again from xxkpe with the step "re-partition"
Thanks. Did you mean I should first flash it with the "I9003XXKPE" file here?
Will I need the PIT file, and after XXKPE I'll have to flash ZHKPD right?
Well, the only question is: Can you come into download mode?
If you can, just flash KPE>KPD and everything solved.
If you can't get a jig or go to service center.
Thanks. Did you mean I should first flash it with the "I9003XXKPE" file here?

I tried flashing CM9.1 using ROM Manager tonight on my GT-P3113 and it's now stuck on a boot loop. The blue Cyanogen creature comes onscreen with a flashing chest and the background has this electronic blue vortex look. I'm unable to do anything and holding the power button only reboots into the loop. Is there a way to fix this?

If you can still get into CWM, then i would recommend you try flashing this stock ROM which is 4.1.1 JB
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1861370
Which version of CWM recovery are you using? Make sure its 6.0.1.9 or higher.
If you prefer to return to stock ICS 4.0.4 you can download the odin stock firmware here
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/170457040/052efe5/P3113UEBLH2_P3113XARBLH2_XAR.zip.html
CM9 is outdated and no longer being supported.
CM10 based ROM are available on the forum, but be careful and follow instructions in the thread exactly.
It is possible to hard brick this device permanently so be careful.
DO NOT DO A FACTORY RESET OR DATA WIPE FROM STOCK RECOVERY

Power + vol up. When you see the samsung logo, release the power but continue to hold vol+up until CWM displays. Make sure you are in CWM, not the stock recovery.
If this doesn't fix the boot problem then ODIN flash the stock ICS from the link I provided.use odin 1.8.5
That would remove any corruption caused by the failed CM9 ROM flash, hopefully.

Here's a quick tutorial on flashing odin roms.
ignore the model and rom that doesn't match yours
1. download samsung kies to get the correct driver for gt-p3113
2. download odin3 v.1.85
3. download Stock Firmware
4. install Kies
5. extract Odin3-v1.85.zip
6. extract P3113xxxxxxx.zip until you get file P3113xxxxxxxxxxx1_HOME.tar.md5
7. turn off your tablet
8. enter download mode (press volume up button + power button about 5 seconds)
9. plug the usb cable to your pc and your tablet
10. run Odin3 v1.85.exe
11. check if pc recognize your tablet by seeing ID:COM turn yellow and "Added!!" message in the message box lower left odin window.
12. klik PDA button and put P3113xxxxxxx.tar.md5
13. make sure to uncheck re-partition
14. click start
15. odin processing takes about 5 minutes, wait patiently.
16. if there's a "SUCCEED" in the message box, your tablet will restart
17. wait about 10 minutes, you should get your ICS boot
Flashed stock ICS and.....it works!
Thanks a lot man. That's the first and last time I try to flash from RM. Gonna flash that stripped down JB ROM now though.
I now have JB 4.1.1 and am veery happy. You're a lifesaver.

the diffrence is in the powr off way !! if you turn your device out usually way ,you flash you dont see the new baseband version in the rom , before flash you need to FORCE POWER OFF - HOLD POWER OFF button until BLACK SCREEN ,than right into download mode and flash ,and you get/see new baseband in rom too, if you dont do it like that then the baseband in rom gonna stay the same/old
worked...
Repeated the procedure twice ( 4 flashes ) and then it worked...

Are you able to boot into recovery using the correct button sequence? Use this button combination:
Press and hold - POWER + VOLUME UP
If the recovery menu shows up, use the volume up/down button to scroll to Wipe Data/Factory Reset. Let it wipe and then select Reboot System Now and see if your device will boot normally. Good luck and let me know what happens.

Okay. No problem. I've had some issues with Odin 3.11 which you said you used to flash back to stock. I've had the most success with Odin 3.07 and 3.10. I would download Odin 3.07 and use it to flash the stock firmware. Make sure you are flashing the same firmware version that you were using before your problem started. So, if you were using 5.1.1, make sure you flash a stock 5.1.1 firmware.
Also, where are you downloading the stock firmware from? I use www.sammobile.com. It takes forever to download a firmware if you don't have an account but it's legit, stock firmware. Hope this helps. Good luck. Let me know what happens.

I've tried everything that i could find using google. Nothing has worked so far.
My friend has a S6 that was on 5.1.1 with root. It didnt received OTA updates so he tried to flash the new Nougat rom using ODIN. Alas the phone softbricked.
I can access download mode, but doesn't matter what firmware i try ODIN always end up failing. It's either sboot.bin, cm.bin so i think it has something to do with the bootloader? I'm not sure.
Tried to use SmartSwitch too but after it downloads the firmware it gives me an error and says to enter safe mode (????) so that's not working either.
Has anyone have an ideia of what to try next?
Thanks in advance.

Download right newest firmware for your model, use SamFirm to get it. Then use Odin 3.12.7 with newest Samsung USB Drivers to full-flash stock ROM. Set also "Factory Reset" in Odin then START. If Odin shows you 'pass' then everything comes good.

Still i'm facing the same issue. I'll try flashing it on another pc later today. Also, Should i change any odin setting while flashing ?? Like NAND erase or bootloader update etc

Not necessary, just "Factory Reset" and that's it. I don't know why Odin shows you "pass
" and your phone still shows "system status: custom". Looks like Odin didn't flashing correctly.

This was before i flashed using Odin. I tried flashing twrp first and then stock rom. Does this make any difference ?
P.S: I'm not able to access recovery mode, only ODIN is possible.

Ok, but why stock? If you flashed TWRP then full-wipe and clean install for example Noble ROM. Try like that...
