NOT ROOTED
is it possible to flash by phone recovery mode with the firmware/data in the SD card?
if not are there other ways to flash by phone and not by ODIN or KIES
KIES = my phone does not show up in kies (endless connecting status) when i try to connect it via kies.but its ok on the other settings.
please direct me to possible update ways and instruction or files that i need..
i prefer the stock version than moded ones..

I rooted my phone & installed Resurrection ROM 9.6 (Rom taken from XDA thread). But in Sir Lanka i had a issue with connecting to Mobile internet & I'm a heavy user of phone so i had to go for a stable rom! So i decided to go with Stock rom & unroot the device. After unrooting when i connect to Kies it says "your device does not support sotware upgrading via kies".
Before all of this kies worked fine by the way!
My model no: i9100xwki8 (bought it when i was out of country)
Kies now shows, under current firmware version): I9100XWKI8/I9100KEKI2/I9100XXKI4/I9100XWKI8 (SEK)
Have i done something wrong?
Can this be fixed?
How can i fix this?
What should i do to stick with stock rom upgrade via kies?
I only did rooting from Odin & CWM; unrooting done from source i got in

I'd try reinstalling the drivers and reinstalling kies and see if that works...personally I think kies is useless, what specifically do you need kies for?

There is stock firmware for N8000 on Mobile Uncle - products.mobileuncle.com (【移动叔叔首发】天星I9220/N8000 官方5月9号线刷ROM，附刷机教程。 ). But it is on Chinese. May be somene translate it to English (how to flash it)?

How to boot in bootloader mode ?
Hi All,
I am still not enable to restart my N8000 Phone
Here is what I did
after a bad Custom rom flash (because I used the Star i9220 Rom )
I booted to chinese recovery A750 (V2.0.1)
I used the following flash process :
Flash process:
1) wipe system/data/cache/dalvik-cache
2) installed the zip of ROM from sdcard Taiwan101_STAR-N8000_V.05
3) installed the zip "data2.5g.zip"
4) reseted the phone
5) the phone restart , it display the "Android Blue Robot" and then the "Johny picture" and the only black screen.
So, I do no know what can I do ?
may be I can try to download the recovery but How can I boot to the bootloader mode ?
what is the keys to press a the startup ?
I wish that I will be able to rescue my N8000 Phone !

N8000 Bricked
Hi,
I tried to follow the procedure to flash the recovery with the SPFT software
I selected the scatter file
I selected the recovery file
I click on "Download" button
dowloading starting but after a while, I get folowwing Error message "s_dl_get_dram_setting_fail 5054"
I saw on other forum that other people also get this error message.

here we have another version of n8000 but with built in tv analog...we call it Nova Note 2!
and the best part of Nova Note 2 is using android 4.1.5!
i hv try the 2.5g trick on it... it's work but still cant see the 2gb.. hehehe
then suddenly i hv bricked the phone... try porting the n8000 v5 rom... and its work but without tv analog... hehehe
so now...i need help... if anyone can give me the CWM with nandroid backup function... coz i want to make nandroid backup for 4.1.5 from my firends phone... i hv the chinesse version... but cant recognise the language... hehehe
plz help me.... and we can share the 4.1.5!

LMAO. Malaysians sellers are cooler than Chineses. Why not Android 5.0? .
There is no Android 4.1.5. Latest official Android Sources is 4.0.4.

haaha I also don't believe it...trying goigle about it..but can't find... but its on my hand rite now... will give screnshoot tmorrow...
nothing much update on 4.1.5, but I can see the video wallpaper under the live wallpaper on screen long press menu...
then..hopefully can make nandroid backup... so plz help me find the cwm with nandroid support....

but still not time to try gps yet..
My original firmware (kernel version) is date 22 may..
all seems ok..WIFI signal i think ok coz i stand about 30feet from my router and still connect with 2bar..
BTW..i want to ask all of u..can this phone use .jar file as installer?
or got way to make it run..

Well you need root, and then there's google that found the following: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=960946
You only have to be careful with the block names, that may change.
On another approach, on windows you may try something like url snooper or wireshark while downloading the files by kies. If you are lucky they are from a samsung ftp and you can track the url.

After spending 5h researching my problem i have decided to ask professional help.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P6200 running on android 3.2. I tried to upgrade to ICS but i had no luck.
I used odin 1.85 and 3.04 followed the instructions step by step, used heimdall didn't work. Tried two diffrent firmware P6200XXLQ1_P6200OXALQ1_ATO and P6200XXLQ7_P6200XEULP1_XEU. It stuck on SetupConection... and it fails with odin 3.04, i used pit and re-partition an still no luck.
The thing is that it would not connect to Kies, the pc recognize it u can browse the files download the pictures, browse sd card, but not connect to kies (don't know why). I took a picture for u guys to see what i think is wierd.
What do you guys think are my chances to update to ics or other firmware better than 3.2 because i hate the way it works right now.

After countless hours of trying i managed to crush PlayStore, I've wiped/clear cash data and factory restore and still nothing .

Sometimes its stuck at SetupConnection when u flashing with Odin bcoz Kies is running in background..mybe u can unistall Kies if u wanna try flashing ICS again..i dont know if its really work, but i do know Odin cannot be full running if Kies running in background..
