[Q] pre-rooted GRI40: flash update.zip: verification failed

I dont know if any similar stuffs are around...
so
I went from GRI40 to FRG33 using PASSIMG, rooted with z4, and then I tried to use the original recovery to flash update.zip of a pre-rooted GRI40
it says:
-- Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Verifying update package...
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
why does this happen?
I saw some others talking about custom recovery, but how to install/flash them
I don't prefer cmd but pls, post solutions
another thing is, I saw another developer mentioning using su.zip to root stock GRI40
how does that work? how to do that?
hope some of you can help me

I receive lately a message to upgrade but when i chose yes i got this error message after some minues :
Rogue XM Recovery 1.5.0 (CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.8)

verifying update package
E: failed to verify whole file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted
What shall i do ?

if it's an official update and you're running stock, you must run a stock recovery to update

[Resolved] [Q] failed to verify whole-file signature

Hi,
I flashed CF-Root-XX_OXA_JW4-v4.4-CWM3RFS using ODIN and attempted to install CWM using ROM MANAGER but whenever I boot into recovery all I get is:
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
About phone reveals:
Model number: GT-I9000
Firmware: 2.3.6
Baseband: I9000XXJW4
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9000XXJW4-CL1043937 [email protected] #2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.XXJW4
I have read loads of different posts about fixing this but I do not want to screw up the phone. Can someone please help me before I go mad? I believe that I need a '2e' recovery but where exactly do I get it and install it?
I am not a rookie and had absolutely no problems with my HTC Desire or ZTE Blade but this Samsung is something else.

I have a Huawei U8860 ICS. When I tried to update it into Jelly Bean from this site
waitandroid.com/update-huawei-u8860-honor-to-android-4-2-1-jelly-bean-miniz-custom-rom
Then my phone shows :
E:signature verification failed
E:update fail and delete temp files
Formatting /cache…
Installation aborted.
Can you help me please?

M not sure about minz rom.. but incase if u want to install Slimbean from (4.2.2) than 1st u need to revert back to B919 stock ICS
Download slimbean rom and copy into sd card
and than install CWM via replacing recovery.img
and than go to CWM recovery and flash the SLIMBEAN rom

[Completed] lost my os and no cwm recovery mod !

i've bought a Huawei Y336-U02 with android 4.3 so i wanted to update it to 4.4 and i accidently wiped the stock rom and got an error (status 7) when i tried to install the new rom. I've searched how to bypass it and i found some tutorials about deleting the first line on updater-script, when i did that i got error status 6 (failed to verify whole-file signature).
so now i'm stuck with no OS and no cwm recovery mod.
ps: the rom Unicom version is : Y336-U02 V100R001C328B106
any help would be great !
