Just wanted to let everyone know i used the root/cwm mod for "SGH-I727 and SGH-I727R Skyrocket" on this phone last night and it worked perfectly.
This new galaxy s2 4g is telstra latest released phone which only came out yesterday.
For those wondering phone model is actually "I9210T"

I am assuming then that this has the Qualcomm processor if CWM and root work.
Have you tried flashing any Skyrocket/Rogers roms yet?
Edit: Hmmm....looks like this is basically the international Samsung Galaxy SII LTE. It is nice to see that our community continues to grow. Just be careful when flashing roms. The new ICS leak works for the AT&T Skyrocket but does not work for Rogers yet so you never know until you try. Also, we can flash SGSII T989 roms as well but have to use our own kernel because the orientation is flipped.

No haven't tried any other rom's yet, only got the phone yesterday. So today is the test to see how long battery life is on 4G.
Also forgot to mention i had to download superuser from the market, as the one supplied from the download link failed to install through CWM.

hows it going i hope i am posting to the right place i have very new here to this site. i was actually just wondering, i have the US version T-mobile samsung galaxy s3 and i just rooted it yesterday and flashed cm9. my question though is can i flash "ParanoidAndroid ICS ROM" to the tmobile version. i have noticed on all the videos and posts with this rom it is all the international "i9300" if anyone can answer me that would be awesome that rom looks awesome. i just wasn't sure because of the kernel and when i had my gs2 tmobile i accidentally flashed an international rom to that an totally bricked it. so just being careful this time. seeing how i bought this one outright. but like i said it would be much appreciated for a replay.. thanks ... I have the Japanese S2 LTE, for which there appear to be no custom ROMs. So I'll have to (urgh, this is not why I bought an Android phone) use the carrier's ROM. BUT when I try to do an OTA update, it boots into CWM. I assume this is because the OTA update is setup to work with the stock recovery. So does anyone know where I can get the stock recovery from? I assume I'll need to use Odin?

Also, I'm pretty sure the recovery will be the same as the Skyrocket. Almost everything about the phones is the same, save for the buttons and LTE chip.

theres one in the second link in my sig, plus you can try a cwm flashable stock rom, also in my sig

Thanks for the reply. Sorry, SC-03D. It's the Japanese LTE model on Docomo. The LTE radio is different, and it only has one hard button with two touch buttons (like the original Galaxy S).
That thread is titled just Galaxy S 2 - will that work on an LTE?

For any future reference - I found a complete stock Docomo ROM on SamMobile and flashed it in Odin. My phone is now being treated (by Kies/OTA update) as a fully up to date, unmodified phone. Not that that really helps, Docomo still haven't released ICS. In October 2012. Still on Gingerbread. Yep.

Root the device with custom rom before you can do anything on that... There is lot of risky process involved with that...

As of right now i dont think paranoid has a release for the bell galaxy note 2 but im sure they will in time but if i were you i would try out AOKP first...i've found their roms rather amusing but as a pro racecar drive im biased towards performance...im not really a pro racer :good:
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10 .1 inch AT&T 4G SGH 1497 I am unable to use several features because of the 4.1 .2 apk update but more importantly I was curious if anyone was successful in installing a 4.2 .2 to this version of the tab 2 and if anyone was able to get everything working solid? I am very interested in getting this rooted but I don't want to screw up the 4G capabilities and take it off the AT&T network if anyone has any tips links or maybe I missed it in the forums on how or if its possible I would be greatly appreciative. also if you know anything about the WiFi Bluetooth problem I have another post that is directly related to this? thanks for Reading
I had no issues rooting and installing twrp/cwm, but I hard bricked one trying to install AOKP. CyanogenMod gave me the dreaded error 7. From what I understand, this hardware is nothing like the other TAB 2's. It's not looking too good lately. Imight get impatient before long and do my own de-odex and mod the systemui as well as other things. MY tab 2 is just not my main device so I haven't put allot of effort into it as yet. Someone is going to need to soon or we'll all just upgrade to something else that is better supported by dev's. I wish us luck on this device. I have googled to high hell and haven't dug up anything. Couldnt even find an odin file for 4.1.2, so I captured that one while i could and put it up for d/l. Maybe that will help someone dev on 4.1.2 at least.

I too am in this dilemma. I just purchased a Tab 2 and want to root to remove the AT&T bloatware. SGH-I497. I found this post:

But since I don't know when 4.1.2 was rolled out for the Tab 2, I don't know if this root method is valid. Help please.
