I have installed google wallet onto my phone. However, it does not seem to pass the initial setup.
Is anyone else experiencing the same? Or have you gotten it to work for you?

Sense the last verizon update I can no longer install any ap or content from the internet. Not even from XDA. I can download the files, but when I try to install nothing happens. I never had this issue before. Im not looking forward to the verizon version of the ICS update as im sure more things will be screwed up. I downloaded the amazon ap store, cant install, and the play store update from XDA today, no luck to install it either. All settings are set to alow outside installs. If there is an ap stopping out of market installs it had to come from verizons last update. As I have been following XDA now through the dink 1 and the TB and never had this issue before. Im not tech savey enough to root my phone, even though it sounds easy enough with all the instructions from XDAs fine people. I have a motorola zoom 4.0 wifi only and it downloads and installs everything just fine. Thats why I keep thinking its from verizons update. Any suggestions?

Try clearing the data for the market app under settings/applications

What happens when you try to install apk's? Also I assume you know this but the all in one root tool is about the easiest thing to do... If you can't root with it then I dunno.

I tap install and there is no responce, does nothing. cancel works just fine

^^ This.
Odd though it may sound, this fixed it for me WAAAY back when bjust before I rooted. Brute force perhaps (as it may have only been the .android_secure folder that was toast), but it worked.
Just curious if anyone has experience with this..

I too can confirm it works.
I can confirm it works. Just did it this morning. I believe it kept my unlocked bootlader too, kinda hard to tell though. The custom sign doesn't show up on startup

Custom is showing up on the phone I updated. Now to figure out if it's possible to get rid of it.

I get a notification telling me there is a new version of the Samsung push service available, I tap it goes to Samsung site but then I get an error message saying it isn't available (error 4002). Does anyone know what this means and why it insists on me updating but not providing the app.

I get the exact same thing too. I don't know why. it started happening after the jelly bean update.
As long as you have set up a Samsung account on your device and it is currently logged in the update should install without any problems. Just had this on the two P5100s that my kids have.

Yes, exactly when it began for me as well. Guess they will come with a correction in an OTA upgrade then.

I have version 2.0 with stock build prop and have made a successful purchase. Some people are having problems though, but it's worth a shot.

I think the proper way to keep the NFC purchases is to install the older version and then upgrade

There's a new version that was released 2 days ago....anyone try that yet?

I posted an update in the original thread that works if you already have the old version installed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024460&page=125 (message # 1243)
If you don't have the old version already installed, follow the instructions in the OP, then update it using my method.
I'm having lots of luck with the new Google Wallet.
See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35365898&postcount=1
And my success story with the latest update: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46346934&postcount=856
Other required reading: Install the xposed framework installer (must be rooted, natch), and the Google Wallet module for it.
GPS will not work, like, at all...
Tried the fix where you back out/tighten case screws, no improvement.
Tried third party apps claiming "GPS" fix for Galaxy3, no luck either...
At the end of my rope with this thing. Anyone have aaaany suggestions??? (I will love you forever...)

Uninstall/reinstall maps app? I may be confused here =)
I am trying to use GPS for basic nav purposes with the maps app, it can neeever hone in on where I am at. This is with 4G LTE.
Problem was with stock 4.3, and I rooted and flashed CleanROM 8 and that had no effect unfortunately...

This phone was an insurance replacement phone, came with 4.3 loaded (sigh...) I have my suspicions that Assurion replaces insurance-claim phones with faulty pieces of shat...just a theory though...
I have already tried to re-flash the rom with no luck. Ill try to uninstall and reinstall maps app. Not very optimistic though, lol
Lol.. Ppl had problems with Google play. Uninstall and reinstall was a quick fix. Unless u need an older version of maps

i had the same issue, i fixed it by replacing "gps.*** " ummm, i dont exactly remember the name of file or the exact path, but you should be able to find it in system partition.
somewhere on these forums there is a list of different gps files for almost every country, find and download the one for your country or neighbor country.
just google for "replace gps file for fixing gps on android"
and find it
goodluck
