I get a notification telling me there is a new version of the Samsung push service available, I tap it goes to Samsung site but then I get an error message saying it isn't available (error 4002). Does anyone know what this means and why it insists on me updating but not providing the app.

I get the exact same thing too. I don't know why. it started happening after the jelly bean update.
As long as you have set up a Samsung account on your device and it is currently logged in the update should install without any problems. Just had this on the two P5100s that my kids have.

Yes, exactly when it began for me as well. Guess they will come with a correction in an OTA upgrade then.

Yes, but I'm using CM9, so I expected that. That seems strange to me.
What model do you have and what country is it from?
Strange.
I checked that Peel started on my P6210 last night after I rooted (via the same method) , and while I didn't actually try to do anything with it , I also did not get any error messages.
FYI - It looks like Peel released a new update to the Play Store. I'm not sure if it will help or not. Good luck.

Now THAT makes sense. Come to think of it I upgraded everything that was an automatic update yesterday taking advantage of the high speed connection I used to download ICS, etc.
Ill try updating it again

In your case, I would definitely try the newest version of 4.0.4 just dropped by Samsung this morning http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=8&view=5532
I may get a GS3 but only if I can do a couple things ...maybe one thing. Can we remove the annoying, persistent WiFi notification in a stock ROM that's rooted and clockworked? Thank you!

Yea. I'm running Beans latest ROM n I don't get that notification

There is also a dialer code you can type in that will give you the option to turn it off.
Why would you need to be crazy to get a GS3?
Edit: IIRC it still shows up in the same spot after the code, but it shuts up about saying you should use Wifi and such
(been a while since stock, my bad)

I've read of some XML edits that can remove it but it'd need to be stock. I run stock, rooted so it'd need to be removable from the stock ROM. I wouldn't wanna see it in my notification bar or the pull down. And crazy cause I've had about a dozen phones in a year. I have a problem.

I'm stock and didn't plan on rooting. I used to do all that with the original HTC EVO and it took up way too much of my time... so I was just wondering if there's a place where all the updates are in a zip format so I can apply any updates manually

Yes. People pull the downloaded ota and your can flash it in stock recovery. I have the lg7 update straight from Verizon if you want it. I think it only works on lf2. If your on lg1 I think you need a different one.
Edit: I'm going into work so I'm gonna post it for you just in case your welcome. This is not modified in any way whatsoever.

If you're stock and not rooted, you should be getting updates over the air from Verizon, you don't need to apply them manually.

I am not trying to be rude but did you read my original post? When I try to update OTA I get a popup saying "Service Unavailable" It's like my phone isn't connecting to Verizon's servers to get the OTA. So I need to apply them manually, unfortunately...if possible

Sorry, I missed that. As long as you aren't rooted and haven't otherwise messed with the phone at all, I'd go ahead and call Verizon and see what they can do. You should be getting updates OTA and if you are not through no fault of your own, it's their responsibility to fix it, especially with the huge security hole that was found in these phones recently.
I had a VW S3 that wasn't receiving the update for OTA and when I talked to the rep he said to use Kies. Kies does say that it will update your phone but I had a problem connecting it. The only way the app will update is if you have your phone connected through USB. I tried and tried and tried but I couldn't get the computer to see my phone in the Kies program to sync it. It would connect through WiFi real quick.

Give Samsung a call because on the website it does away that Kies will update your software over USB.

Hey guys i got one annoying issue and maybe its just me? I installed three different Jb builds, one was odin flash and other two were flash zips. Now my problem is that when i recieve a txt or missed call, and i wake the phone i get that (swipe across) tutorial message every time it wont go away no matter what i do. It comes back every time. Wtf
Any ideas are appreciated.
And yes i deselected the box in lock screen settings
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
I assume you're talking about jelly bean touchwiz, and based on what i know about touchwiz (haven't used it in a month or two) i believe there is a setting to turn off the tutorial messages.

Got the same thing just 5 minutes ago.. installed it.. anybody have a changelog?
Here's the full changelog from Samsung's site:
Android 4.3 OS upgrade
Samsung Galaxy Gear compatibility
Group Play 2.5
Samsung Apps
Knox
Drag and drop to uninstall or disable applications
Call reliability improvements
The new update is build number 1337UCUEMK2 – the last one was 1337UCUEMJ9. So Samsung had to change something, but the very short turnaround time indicates it wasn't anything major (some users reported keyboard issues on MJ9). The update is pretty hefty at 719MB if you're coming from the Android 4.2 software. There is also a patch from MJ9 to MK2 for people who got the last OTA that clocks in at just 28.07MB. Begin hammering the update button – no promises, though.

Those of us on MF3 who rooted cannot accept the OTA correct? WE would have to unroot first?
I can say this. It was no ordinary update even though coming from the mj9 one it was only 28.07mb's. It did something to the phone to finally take away the lag. I think Samsung finally got the phone working right. I'm pretty happy with my s4 now.

So I came from an rooted MF3 install, but I have done a factory reset to try and get the update. Even now, I can't seem to get a response from hitting the "Software Update" button. Does anyone have any suggestions? Confused as to why I can't get it to report to me...

You don't expect people to actually read before they post do you? I mean, it's only common sense and the XDA rules. Why would most of these people do something smart like that? 90% of the threads are from people that either didn't or can't read.

Me too. Even when I take a picture with the galaxy gear, they show almost instantly on my GS4 gallery.
Also, bluetooth is like "smart".
I was having problems connecting my cars bluetooth to my GS4 and at the same time to my gear and each device to know what I needed it for, and now they now somehow.

Can we root if we updated to 4.3 mk2?
I still keep getting software update interrupted, going to have to use other means to upgrade I guess.

This new update seems to have fixed the messaging app, before it was all messed up on the first 4.3 update.
Also another thing that seems fixed is the developer options, I would turn off all animations but it wouldn't stick as they would turn back on on their own.
