It does but will show you as custom on reboots and starts of the phone.

I too can confirm it works.
I can confirm it works. Just did it this morning. I believe it kept my unlocked bootlader too, kinda hard to tell though. The custom sign doesn't show up on startup

Custom is showing up on the phone I updated. Now to figure out if it's possible to get rid of it.

I may get a GS3 but only if I can do a couple things ...maybe one thing. Can we remove the annoying, persistent WiFi notification in a stock ROM that's rooted and clockworked? Thank you!

Yea. I'm running Beans latest ROM n I don't get that notification

There is also a dialer code you can type in that will give you the option to turn it off.
Why would you need to be crazy to get a GS3?
Edit: IIRC it still shows up in the same spot after the code, but it shuts up about saying you should use Wifi and such
(been a while since stock, my bad)

I've read of some XML edits that can remove it but it'd need to be stock. I run stock, rooted so it'd need to be removable from the stock ROM. I wouldn't wanna see it in my notification bar or the pull down. And crazy cause I've had about a dozen phones in a year. I have a problem.

Yes, I'm also stock and rooted and i removed it, as well as that stupid popup about known networks in range.

Is there a blue folder available for the s3? I'm using the Galaxy mod ROM now and really like it but I'd like to keep checking out new rooms. Is there a convenient way to boot up another rom without having to wipe out what I'm running?

It gets me all the time too! But as of now there is not, there are some in the works from what I hear. So right now the easiest way is to make a backup and flash then just restore when you're ready to go back
Sent from my VS920 4G using xda app-developers app
Yes unfortunately no Boot Manager yet. Init2winit apps is unable to support the app anymore. The good news is that they are currently trying to find a reputable dev to take it over. Hopefully someone will.

I was really excited when it came out for the droid x. I bought it and really never used it, it just didn't work right. Cool idea but never work for me. I am sure the dx having a locked bootloader really held it back.

Hi guys,
I recently took the latest OTA update and lost root, which is fine. My problem is, is that I cannot remove SuperSU and still have that annoying custom (with an unlocked padlock image) at start up. I did a factory reset thinking it would get rid of them, but it didn't. Can anyone help me out? DroidModderX suggested to flash a stock image in odin, but I don't know how to do that. I am still in the infant stages of doing stuff like this
Thanks!

ive been looking around for information about updating the bootloader in my S3....its unlocked but it doesn't seem to want to flash the latest roms and from what ive been reading it seems the bootloader is the issue
any help would be appreciated
Um you can't update the bootloader on the S3. Maybe you meant recovery? Certain recoveries in the past had issues flashing stuff. Go grab GooManager and update TWRP using that app. Maybe that will fix your issue.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
You can update the bootloader, can you link the thread that suggests that? Usually it isn't needed to run custom roms.

You didn't update? so your not on a locked bootloader? Also you should beable to boot from stock slot unless you did somthing to it. I don't think anyone is working on it because I think you may be the first to have this problem.
Come to think of it, I'm not seeing your name in the Safestrap thread Harley. At least not from the last three weeks. If you have been trouble with Safestrap loading roms, there's no post from you about in that thread:

He posted in the casual thread, not the safestrap thread. He seems to be the only one not able to flash 4.3 TW ROMs through safestrap. He needs to calm down and explain exactly what steps he is taking when trying to flash a ROM through safestrap and plenty of people here who will help him. Also, he may get more and better help by posting in the safestrap thread.

I received the phone with the 4.3 update. Im rooted. Ive got safestrap. Ive gotta stock slot and its fine. Its the others I cant get to take a rom. It took one once. But it sucked. Random shutdowns. Lag. FCs. All kinda crap. So heres the steps. DL rom. Create rom slot. Flash rom. It reboots and gets past the recovery/continue page then goes black. Thats it.
