I actually think I like sense 2.1/3.0 better. The new launcher's just plain ugly. Why did they replace the bottom bar with two circles with nothing in between??

Can anyone tell me if there is a real improvement in terms of speed between Sense 3.0 vs Sense 3.5? I am not attracted by the design of the new Sense, hope it will improve when it's final.

Since it was optimized for the 800MHz Bliss, I'm sure it's faster than the "stock" software on the Sensation/Evo3d/MT4GS.

I'm curious how they've managed to keep the same slick sense 3 graphics and transitions, running faster on a smaller CPU'd device
that also has increased functionality
Time will tell, as it didn't look long before week see snort working albeit leaked copy

This isn't a theme, its a full working Rom. Needs to be ported properly to the DS for full functionality.

New sense looks so grey and so bore ater 3.0 I still like 3.0 ver.

HTCclay recently tweeted the link to the ICS launcher. It may not be real but users claim it's pretty cool. Anybody tried it out? The apk is attached.

No you should be fine with what you have. This isn't the actual Ice Cream Sandwich launcher. It's made by Syndicate Apps. Based off of the "leaked" pictures.

Really wish it would of had the 3D app drawer from the stock android, but that's fine. It does look really good.

This is not real I think.
Google wouldn't add settings for launcher seperately and put Honeycombs screenshots for running apps. ICS will much better than this. Good work anyway.

Pretty cool as stated before 3d app drawer would be awesome..

Hahaha i think she wouldn't, is it vanilla ICS on her Razor?
Because honestly, the only ICS that looks good is the vanilla ICS imo (i didn't try sense 4, but i tried sense 3.6 and i say that it ruins ICS looks :/ )

Yeah sense 3.6 was just a quick slap of sense on ICS.
Sense 4.0 has been done properly and you can definitely tell

Yeah I agree with you.
I was deeply excited about the new ICS update, but now I'm disappointed. I used ronk88's Sense 3.6 ROM yesterday (great port by him!).
I can hardly tell its ICS it looks and feels exactly the same as Endymion. Quite disappointed. But there is a slight performance boost, I find it about 10% faster in general usage.
I now really like AOSP ICS. It's beautiful and clean. (Now considering my next device to be a Galaxy Nexus. Sick of having to wait for updates from OEMs.).
Can't wait for HTC to release the kernel source. I can't wait to get fully fledged Sense 4 & CM9!
CM9 will rock! It will satisy my cravings for a Galaxy Nexus with the same UI.... Can't wait for it to be finally bug-free!!!!

Skins for the 3d should also work for the sensation.
Just make sure the sense version.
If you are on Sense 3.5, only use sense3.5 skins.
If you are in sense 3.6, only use sense 3.6 skins.
And so on.

even if its a ICS rom

SENSE sits on top of ICS... the sense versions must match. I'm actually a bit of a themer but was taking a break for awhile. I may be up for this challenge.... I'm gonna look into the EVO forums and see whats up. if its just a simple skin you should be able to just install it as most of these skins are simple APK files. as long as your sense versions match you should be good to go... if not then they just need ported over. which isnt hard

I'll make requested white and pink themes but for sense 4.0... White version is beta stage right now working on my phone

Sense 4.0. It's visually the best. Everything else is smoother, but I can't stand choppy scrolling in CM9 and everything else is lacking the visual flair. I can understand why people would want the smoothness of non sense ROMs though, sense is choppy.

Sense is good because it looks great, a good amount of tweaks, and functions right out of the box. However it's very heavy on ram and processor speed which drains the most battery between the three. I really dislike CM9 because my experiences have proven to be buggy (could just be me) but it does gives you the pure android experience as it was intended to be and good battery life. I prefer MIUI the most because it's themes, which lets you add a personal touch, great battery life, and light weight (less stress on ram and processor) although MIUI can have some bugs too.

Sense for HTC looks. And miui for customization.

SENSE is heavy on ROM/Resources.
CM9 is *still* buggy.
Honestly I'v not tried MIUI. so cant say abt tht.
My suggestion for u to go for AOKP ROM. Its FAST-SMOOTH-STABLE.
It provides a LOT of customization.
...n If u r a Sense UI lover (Like I am), then AOKP ROMs hv options for themes as well. U can simply download n apply the SENSE 4.0 aokp theme, for sense ui, skin, icon pack, font etc.

My personal fav is AOKP. Its like CM9 with more functions, fast and smooth, and there are tons of themes out there for customizing
(dont mind the sig, havent updated it in a while)

CM9 for me personally, I don't see why people say its buggy, It the smoothest rom for me, no glitches and excellent battery life
Sense 4 drains too much battery from my experience

Sense for me. I love the look and functionality. It's just really smooth.
