[Q] LG Optimus LTE P935, P930 - General Questions and Answers

So I have registered just so I could ask for help rooting the p935, which is essentially the p930. I am unable to post in the thread for this topic because I have fewer than 10 posts. (This must motivate people to post junk.)
I have used the suggested software (have tried 4 rooting programs) and cannot seem to root this piece of junk. To be fair, it is a formidable machine but it is useless to me without root. Never had such a hard time rooting any phone.
I obviously put it in debugging mode and installed the required drivers. Not an obvious issue.
Thanks in advance.
At end of my rope,
tq

[Q] Seriously, where is the "marketplace" forum?

I recently posted that i was selling my Gtablet in the general forum for my tab. I got an infraction for not posting in the ' \"Marketplace" ' forum. I have spent quite some time combing through the forums searching for it, and can't seem to find one. Does this exist? Am I reading something wrong? I don't like infractions for not following rules that aren't possible. If you guys could point me in the right direction, and also explain why a place where you post things want actually sell would not be in a place where potential buyers/sellers could easily find it, it would be greatly appreciated.
marketplace
Is that considered a development forum? I clicked the link, and it took me to a message telling me I don't have permission to access the page, with the standard noobs can't post on dev forums disclaimer. Is it because of the infraction? Can I not even view the marketplace forum, even without posting? Is a 5 point infraction that bad, and how long does it last. I apologize for asking so many questions, but the rules are more about the stressing the iron fist policy and less about actually explaining rules, I'm somewhat frustrated.

Well I believe you need 10 post to access the marketplace.
So you are not even allowed to browse the marketplace unless you have 10 posts? And if its so hard to find, whats the point of having one?

Leapfrog LeapPad?

Does anyone have any good links for softrooting this device and were to get apps for it? I bought it for my nephew not knowing the apps were 20 bucks each.
its not android based, sorry.
and i google search'd, cuz i was a little curious, there's not even a whisper about porting android to this. :/ so, pretty much, you're out of luck, unless you want to post android to it all by yourself.
Kinda what i thought considering I couldn't find anything for it either.

Anyone ever take a shot at the Samsung M7600 beat dj?

I know its not a smartphone but does that matter? is android at all possible on this device? It looks like it has soo much potential at least for andro newbs that dont require wifi or anything. the stock firmware sucks and ive scoured the internet for updated firmware and its all deleted like the device isnt supported anywhere anymore .
anyone here ever take a crack at it ??
Neat phone; I would assume, if Android was never on the phone, and the phone was comprised of hardware parts that have never been in another Android phone, that there wouldn't be enough base information to compile a working image (no driver info for hardware, among other things.) Just a supposition though.

Any books/classes written/taught on Android programming?

So I have finally gone back to school to finish up this semester, and in one of my classes we are going to touch on Android programming towards the end of the class. I was wondering if anyone knew of, or could suggest a good book to help me get started now? I am very interested in this and I feel I could make it my hobby/job.
I found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=807392
Which mentions a couple of books, but does anyone have any other ideas? Maybe some classes I could take online? I feel as if a class would be best for me.

Alright techies, I've got a question for you?

So I've been suffering from the infamous Bionic connectivity issues as of late. I've called in for a few replacements and it looks like tomorrow will be my last one. So here's the conundrum...
My original Bionic was forever rooted way back when. Sure enough, with the most recent Bionic software update, .902, my USB just stopped working on this device. Works fine on the replacements, but with this one it just says "USB Device Not Recognized." Obviously I need to unroot this phone so I can send it back in.
Did some troubleshooting with a member from DF, we were able to remove root without having to plug it into the computer by deleting some files from the /bin and /xbin system folders. This was verified with root checker. HOWEVER, we are unable to remove the Superuser app. We tried a few things, like booting it into different modes and trying to uninstall, with absolutely no success. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the newest Moto drivers several times.
So my question is this...how can I remove an app like that without having to plug my computer into the PC? Please help me!!! I really don't want to take the risk of sending this in and being charged $500!

Fair enough, my apologies. But did you have to change "challenge" to "question?" The main purpose of this thread was to offer the devs something, from what I can find, has NEVER been addressed before. If I knew the first thing about smartphone development I would love an opportunity to be the first to answer something like this.
Can I at least remove the question mark at the end and add an elipses? The grammar nazi inside of me is starting to panic.
PS. Please understand I'm not trying to be difficult, just thought it might be fun for a dev who is tired of making ROMs and is maybe looking for something a little bit different...even an explanation of how it's impossible would work for me!
