[Q] Enquire [GPS FIX] GPS Fix for all* roms - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
This is question for Mikel.Canovas and his thread [GPS FIX] GPS Fix for all* roms. For some reason I have not permission to post in his thread.
I apologize for being so naive in this matter, I've read your instructions in the 1st page but I don’t understand clearly how can I install you fix application into my phone.
My phone is a H7300 Hero also known as HD7. I still have the original ROM because I couldn’t find any compatible ROM for my model in CyanogenMod.
Now. When I reboot my phone in recovery mode, these are the options available.
Reboot system now
Apply update from SD card
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Backup user data
Restore user data
I don’t quite understand which one is for installing your app.
Thanks a lot for all your work and patience.

New user needs help!

Sorry for posting this in the general section, but I was told I can't post in the development section until I have 10 posts. I hope someone here can help me! I just finished downgrading my OS from the .29 build to .17 and everything went okay except for one big problem I am having. When I try to launch file manager I get "Unfortunately, File Manager has stopped". Everything else on my device works. Has anyone had any experience with this?
usually that occurs when you didn't clear cache etc...
For future reference, this type of thread shouldn't be posted in the development section anyway. Development is for people releasing ROMs, recoveries, kernels, and other related items for download.

[7.1.2 NOUGAT][Q/A] NOUGAT for the Galaxy SL - Q/A - DISCUSSION THREAD

NOUGAT 7.1.2 Port for the Galaxy SLHowdy y'all.
Android 7.1.2 Nougat has been ported to the Galaxy SL.
Developers work on these projects on their free time! They are not forced to work on this so be nice and respect them.
The development thread is located here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-sl/development/rom-omnirom-7-1-2-samsung-galaxy-sl-t3602461.
Download links can be found in the development thread above, however;
Please keep all discussions not related to development here, this helps the developer focus and avoid common questions that can be answered by other members.
To quote Technohacker1995:
Things to take a note of
This ROM is still a Work In Progress. As such, some features do not work, as listed ahead
GApps is NOT RECOMMENDED as there is very low amount of /system partition space
Make sure you keep a backup of your files. If flashing from stock, this WILL wipe every partition
This ROM does not come with CJK fonts to make it fit in the /system partition. Therefore, Chinese text rendering will be broken
This ROM does not come with AOSP WebView or Chromium. They will be offered separately
This ROM is not rooted. Flash a root zip manually.
Steps to flash
Reboot to Recovery.
Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
Reboot
Current port is based on Omni ROM, this will be changed to LineageOS soon.
All credit is given to Technohacker1995, and dhiru.
Known Issues
To quote Technohacker1995,
Things that work:
WiFi
Bluetooth
Internal storage
Vibrator control
Initial Setup
Button backlight
Things that are WIP
RIL: Broken on Lineage
IMEI baseband
Carrier and signal strength was detected on Omni
Things that are broken:
GPS: Has a dependency on RIL
Camera2: Crashes on taking a picture
FM: Had to be disabled. Will be enabled sooner or later
Anything not explicitly stated to work
*The Google Apps package may cause some issues because of limited space, pick a very slim gapps package.

I am looking at the code that dhiru is currently putting on github.
Also, the other thread's op is so plain, never updates, has no info on cm10.

If u want to create new threads then as u wish. Anyway just for information that Dhiru is able to boot JB whose screenshot I have attached in here. Many things are not wotking which were wotking in cm9. So thats why he has not released yet in public. These updates he puts on facebook but I never post those things here. Because noobs will just ruin the whole thread by asking ETA. Dhiru is working on new hardware drivers released by TI sources which will improve JB UI.
I hope JB discussion will remain in this thread only. If noobs start to flood cm9 development thread then really I am going to report about those silly noobs to moderators.

I already know that he got it to boot before, this thread is basically a discussion thread to actually reduce noob spam volume, the other thread doesn't include anything really, and is out dated.
See the github? changes in the last hours, that's what i am covering here.
In this thread, let them spam till tomorrow, it's the general section and there's no harm in clicking the 'report' button
is this really gonna come ? this version would be really super .. and im eagerly waiting for it
The post has been created!! Alpha 1!
Seems I'll have to flash the ROM twice, since I'm on DDLF2...
Can someone tell me how to get back to stock 2.3.6?
Full Flash with kpe?

Issues with roms

I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 (verizon), and I am having quite a few problems that no one else seems to be having. Have have searched the forums, googled the problems, and done every kind of troubleshooting that I can think of (will list).
Problems:
Rom: ParanoidAndroid (jellybean
Issue: Wifi does not work in tablet, phablet, or hybrid mode. Camera does not save pictures.
Troubleshooting: Data wipe/restored to backup. Data wipe reinstalled rom, gapps, wiped cache, wiped Dalvik. Clear data in framework, media, and gallery.
Rom: LiquidSmooth (jellybean)
Issue: Camera not saving images.
Troubleshooting: Same as above.
Rom: MiUi (jellybean)
Issue: Camera not saving pictures, No ext sd card support. (not going to list known issues since that would be redundant)
Troubleshooting: Same as above.
Again, I have googled all of the issues. Tried as many fixes as I could find. If I am being a noob then please just tell me. If there are step by step instructions that I have missed please point me in the right direction. Would love to get one of these roms working today before I have to go to work
Sir, there are few things here first to best help your self....you say you search, did you by chance search the forum of your device? Or posting your questions/issues there for better visibility, there are lot of talented ROM makers in those threads. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1716
Also, if you are worried about stability, read thru the OPs and threads of the ROM you want to try....Thank You
