I'm not sure if it's related to kernel or recovery but can you make a kernel that allow to use 2.2/2.3/4.0 and make backup/restore and flash rom with update.zip (I don't want to use odin all the time I want to flash something)

This is the implementation of the famous CF-ROOT kernel by Chainfire
This rooted kernel is for the "rooting beginners" and those who want to keep as close to stock as possible. CF-Root takes the kernel from an original Samsung firmware, and just adds root, busybox, and CWM 2.5
This is not a rom but a kernel - no need to wipe anything before and after flashing - and it wont wipe anything by itself

I'll add init.d support today if i get time and then i'll take a look at filesystems
But you can try it, data wont be wiped, and root will stay even after you flash some other kernel
will do it by tonight ... will be of much help it u add init.d though ... but anyway .. i know it will in cpl of days time.. sincerely appreciate it ... gr8 job ...

Right now performance isn't on our list of things to do. But no, the performance isn't any better at this stage as we have no GPU drivers and JIT isn't working.

The point of trying to port cm9 is that it's brand new, and way more fun to start from scratch than catching up on a well advanced project.
Besides, developpers are once again free to choose which project to work on, and if people want so much cm7 to be completed, they still can set up a dev environnement, and get to work !

Not all people have such knowledge. Anyway it's their choice. I'm just saying it will probably take already 6 moths to complete this whereas it will only take 2 to 3 moths max finishing cyanogenmod 7 if everyone works together.

Dont take it personally, but every custom "stock" ROM is basically the same because they're based off of the same firmware. (whether its a port or not) MIUI and CM7 differ from stock ROM's.
My advice is if you dont like them dont click on them? Dont want to see Hellraiser Ports buy a phone that doesnt support it

Or they're all nicely done ports and I've never experienced one that's the same. I agree with Big, nothing had to be said. When you put even one hour into development, then you'll understand. I put a few in a couple of months back and then life kicked me in the balls so I had to put all that on hold. Point is, that it's not easy man, and you had no reason to post that.

new updates yes! but please make 2 version 1 for ext4 and 1 for rfs....coz your kernel change data to ext4 even if i dont want to use ext4 (on data)

Here's a kernel for the Sprint Galaxy Note5 with root support via defconfig and ramdisk edits.
Prereq:
-Have a means to get back to stock software. This includes an Odin flashable TAR or a recovery flashable ROM.
-[size=+2]Make sure you have a BACKUP![/size]. I cannot stress this enough. While I am certain you won't run into any trouble with the kernel, it's always good to have a backup of your system (including kernel[boot in twrp]) beforehand.
Instructions:
-Download SuperSU beta from here
-Download the kernel: BeastMode 1.2 for the Galaxy Note5 (SM-N920P)
Place both the kernel and SuperSU beta onto your internal or external storage.
Reboot into your custom recovery.
Flash kernel.
Flash SuperSU.
Reboot and profit.
