[Kernel|9/24/15] BeastMode Modified Stock 1.2 for SM-N920P - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

Here's a kernel for the Sprint Galaxy Note5 with root support via defconfig and ramdisk edits.
Prereq:
-Have a means to get back to stock software. This includes an Odin flashable TAR or a recovery flashable ROM.
-Make sure you have a BACKUP!. I cannot stress this enough. While I am certain you won't run into any trouble with the kernel, it's always good to have a backup of your system (including kernel[boot in twrp]) beforehand.
Instructions:
-Download SuperSU beta from here
-Download the kernel: BeastMode 1.2 for the Galaxy Note5 (SM-N920P)
Place both the kernel and SuperSU beta onto your internal or external storage.
Reboot into your custom recovery.
Flash kernel.
Flash SuperSU.
Reboot and profit.
Need further instructions and information? rlmiller has written up a nice post. check it out here
ZIP MD5:
-Know a bit of knowledge about how to restore your system or what this root enabled kernel will provide. I won't be able to reply to PMs asking me questions. You should know a bit about what you're doing before you do it.
Changelog:
9/24/15: Compilation tweaks, performance tweaks, battery tweaks, init.d support, adb shell support, ramdisk cleanup. Odin tars have been removed.
9/9/15: Deep sleep fix. More ramdisk modifications.
9/7/15: Initial release.

Does this kernel work with setCPU? Is there any reason to use setCPU with it?

Sneaky bastard

Now we have official GB with its source code but compiling a kernal with perfect work & with addition of new features (over clocking, USB OTG, TV OUT) is really a toughest part of work. Skin & Amit both have really good knowledge about kernal. We can expect something very interesting in future. But we definitely have to keep some pations guys.

Gotta love ya man. you're still mentioning USB OTG to date. Persistence is one of your traits i tell you.
Anyway, since the source code is in, i think amit should also have a clean start on his CM7 porting project. So what you say amit?
If we Compile This file,we Will get the Working Kernel (Current Kernel) Right??
So we have to edit these files to create a new Kernel ??
any Idea Where To Start ???
I have An Idea to Port the files Which Specifies the "App & Framework" folders of Galaxy S to Galaxy SL so that we can use all the modes which depend on the "apps & framework" files like 9 lockscreen just by copying the framework (files of Galaxy S) files to our framework (files of Galaxy SL) folder.
By doing this we dont have to port modes for S to SL like 5 lockscreen,Overscroll Glow ,CRT etc
LOL The OTG, Actually I saw the preview of OTG on Youtube with the S2 snugged with a 1TB HDD, Gotta say, That **** was amazing, But not to the point where halfway through the video, I kept picturing Vishal :\

Brad,
I love a great stock ROM back up. And this is a great one. Just a couple of questions.
1) Are you going to try and take out all the ICQ stuff?
2) Will you try and put in the app "ROM Toolbox" It allows one to do more customizations....
Just a couple of thoughts. But awesome stuff and please keep up the great work!

This was gonna be surprise for everyone in the community. But since today is my Birthday consider it as a gift for the G3 community.
I've just finished my training and searching for a house to move into. Development starts soon. I believe everyone would agree that the g3mod kernel has become too overloaded and its time to re-write it.
Mark,Moikop and the rest of G3Mod team did a great work maintaining while i was away. I've talked Moikop and we have agreed that he will continue with his kernel and i'll work on G3Mod and share our experience.
I've been away from development from quite a while,so please help me out if i am unaware about something.Like last time I will go in steps improving the kernel one step at a time.
I believe we have a lot of excellent work done by apollo,arakmar,tom3q for CM9.
Dont worry, haven't forgotten marcellusbe. He has and will always be the most respected person on G3 community. He is my teacher and I still have a lot to learn from you Seb.
Any other developer for G3, if i havent mentioned your name doesn't mean I dont respect you or anything. Its just I forgot or maybe I havent seen your work..I respect each and everyone out there for doing your bit.

[AROMA][USER-CHOICE]OTX - Bloatware Remover

After a lot of struggle, here I present you my project (codename: OTX) that helps the user to remove the apps easily using aroma!!
I found that there are some limitations in the aroma installer which made it difficult for me!
First of all, I know you would say that this script has been already made and you will try to report it to moderators that I am repeating but no one has made an aroma flashable installer in any of the xda thread and nothing has been made like this for any of the devices. Even though it is present, it is not user choosable. It just deletes blocks of applications and can sometimes be even without your notice.
Changelogs:
Added aroma
Added busybox
User choice on removing apps
Overcame aroma scripts limitation
Only deletable apps are shown to maintain stability
Download Links:
OTX: http://www.mediafire.com/download/799ix1k85ay9lb9/signed_OTX_BLOAT.zip
CWM: http://d-h.st/nLL
Report me if the links are dead!!
Installation Instructions:
Make sure your device is rooted and binaries are up to date.
Download signed_OTX_BLOAT.zip and ClockWorkMod provided.
Copy it in the root of the sd card.
Now reboot and access recovery mode.
Now flash ClockWorkMod and mount everything.
Now select "install zip from sd card" and click signed_OTX_BLOAT.zip and install it.
You are asked to select the files to be deleted in 11 checkbox selectable pages because of the limitation of aroma script.
If you don't want to delete anything in a particular page, just click next and proceed.
After uninstalling, reboot your device.
I have tested it in my device and I am proud to say that it works as per my expectations. Its stable but currently need testers for this tool.
Tested on:
Baseband Version: DDLK1
Kernel: Hells Fusion
This is my first project. So kindly test it and report the bugsconfused: if any) !!
This is the base version. New addons will be made soon!
[Q] In what way it is different from old script??
[A] The user have to modify the lines of the script so as to remove the apps that he/she don't like and it takes too much time to type one by one. But if you use my script, it will be a lot easier and saves time.
Note for developers: You can port this to any device but make sure you include my credits :good:

So only not added poll! Will add it now!
And thanks for reviewing!
