I'm looking forward to this phone as well. I'm holding off getting a desire z because of this phone so hope it's worth the wait.

I've been annoying T-Mobile on FB and Twitter about it with constant annoying messages! I'm not sure why I have to wait practically 2 years to get another similar qwerty slider device.

We can't be the only ones out there! This phone is going to be right with other competing ones, if not ahead, once released in July. More people should be on board.

You've got a point. Time will tell how it performs. Would you happen to know if the Doubleshot will have a locked boot loader? It could be a deal breaker for me. The new Sensation has it's boot loader locked. Apart from that, it's an awesome phone (missing the qwerty kb though).

So getting this phone purely because if great specs+ a keyboard! Im goibg to miss,my vibrants screen though
I use swype so expect bad grammar and errors

Yeah I saw that earlier tonight and am so excited. I can't wait to get this phone. I'm very used to the additional number row on my TP2, but I can get used to the ALT option that normal people use!
My first experience with Android has been playing around and setting up my wife's G2, but that didn't tease me enough. I bought a Honeycomb tablet last month (A500) and have been drooling to get consistency up and running with my phone as well. I'll have to get an app that records all phone calls, like I already have though. Any suggestions?

Haha, at least you got some action with the G2. My only interaction with Android has been through my colleague's Desire and in stores.

G2x update

Just went to the local store and was going to by a g2x for my wife out of stock while I was there, guess who a LG REP I probed her for questions did not answer me why no longer on sale, could not tell me but she did assured me that LG will. Be pushing an update VERY SOON.. what ever that means
P.s. she was not as hot as the LG girl

that was a bit un-necessary eh? you can see the "add to cart" button is greyed out. it's pretty much confirmed. The phone is no longer, for the moment at least, up for grabs on the t-mob site and I would guess in stores. just a guess tho

watch t-mo will probably say hey you can trade in your g2x for the new sensation. and watch everyone get pissed cause of the locked bootloaders and tmo will be laughing their asses off

Do you think there will be 2 updates: one to fix the current issues and the other Gingerbread, or 1 update that combines the two? I hope it's both. Right now my phone is on it's way here. I will test to see if I have the same problems as others have.

Update is any day now...they pulled the remaining stock because of two reasons...
1. QC issues with the first few batches
2. The update will need to be applied OTA so it proly makes more sense to do that in house then sell the phones....
these are my OPINIONS, btw...I know I come across as like I know something, but I'm actually an idiot...do not listen to me

I hear you. I want to keep the G2x. I hate HTC Sense. I don't want the Sensation or any other phone or I would of waited. They need to send out a major update ASAP to fix all the software issues. As far as screen bleed. Replacement with a new batch if LG fixes ?

Weirdly enough my backlight bleed resolved itself. It was pretty bad now its not there at all. I agree it needs to be fixed and I think they're just processing the boatload of returns they got on the device.
And the Sensation is a rather large downgrade from the G2x... The Snapdragon's graphics capability is less than half what the G2x pulls stock, let alone when overclocked. I'd leave T-Mobile if they tried to force a Sensation down my throat.

Oh, I don't want the Sensation either. If I did, I would have already returned the G2X and used my Vibrant until then. I am sticking to what I said before and that is, I feel that the G2X is the better device that will hold me over until Tmo gets there SGSII variant. I have wanted that phone since I saw it.
I made my comment because I don't think T-Mobile would ever take our devices back, give us a different phone and discontinue the G2X completely. Thats a serious loss of revenue. No company in there right mind would do that. The most T-mobile will do is replace our phones with working ones from a new batch.

They can have my g2x.... when they pry it from my cold dead fingers. I ain't gonna update ****. My phone works perfectly. Even though I was a bit disapoonted with the can boasting 8mp and have suck ass features this phone rocks. I hope those who do have issues get some justice though.

Would anyone be able to link the post regarding the g2x being pulled? I'm just getting into the android world and the g2x is my first android device and I love it. I can't even find a example of the screen bleed everyone is talking about.
Guess I don't have the issue since I love my screen, but the constant radio bounce is annoying, so is the phone turning off in the middle of the night and not waking me when it's time to go to work. But that had only happen once.

The dInc also got Gingerbread 2 weeks ago, then the OTA was stopped due to some serious issues with it. Those dInc guys crack me up. It's just something about the whining about not getting Sense 3.0 with it and their insane belief that the dInc is best device ever constructed. I swear, if I read one more post where the writer says something like "Sadly, I got a dInc2 from Asurion as a warranty replacement instead of another AMOLED dInc" (like they got totally screwed in the deal!), I'm gonna find them and shove that phone up their piss hole.

I actually miss my dinc a lot. It's a great little phone. Great specs. Great dev support. Only thing keeping me from going back is 4G.

the Dinc is a nice phone but too small for me. the tbolt reminds me of my old evo4g, that's why i bought it. i think my next phone will be the htc vigor.

What killed the Dinc was that it didn't have enough memory to run sense. I have a Dinc & a TBolt and I have 270 mb free most of the time with the TBolt and only 70 -100 mb free on the Dinc. The Dinc has a stripped down sense rom and the TBolt rom has most everything.

Best phone every tell that to me who went through 6 Inc all for reasons that had nothing to do with Rooting or dropping the phone. The phone over heated on a few of them and fried the board. Some phone would reboot and wipe my phone clean for no reason. I did get to keep the last phone which my daughter has as a video game phone so she would keep her hands off my TB, and surprising it been a great game system/netflix for her anyways. But I would have loved to get upgraded to the new phone as a replacement it only happened to me one time but I was like HELL YEA, and that was back when it was a flip phone but I got a 3.2 MP camera.

The incredible was a good phone but the Tbolt definately has advantages over it. I wouldn't trade my Tbolt back for the Incredible but it definately was a good phone.

The radio from the 2.11 leak is freakin great. I know with the TB it seems different phones respond to different radios but I have seen more positive posts about the one from the 2.11 leak then any other radio. I got 15 hours of heavy heavy usage the other day after flashing a new ROM and that radio before I even changed all my settings to help optimize battery life. Plus my 4G hasn't cut out on me at all like it did sometimes before.

Yea. That's probably because its an older device with newer ios. Usually its best to downgrade then jailbreak. Well, from what I've read. I'm not an Idevice expert.

Yeah to downgrade isn't hard...just save your SHSH blobs using TinyUmbrella and restore using a custom .ipsw. But this is an ANDROID forum, not iOS! xD

Huawei myTouch?

I saw this another website (can't link you to it, against XDA rules, sorry!) and it looked interesting. Give me your opinions, thoughts.

In no way do I have any solid information from T-Mobile regarding the new MyTouch line, I am simply posting based on information from tmonews.com, and other sites.
According to sources (and a very convincing video posted by the guys over at engadget), the newest Manufacturer to add the MyTouch to their resume will be Huawei. It is said to be a mid range phone, however testers have stated that potential buyers should not be concerned about the device being mid range, stating that it is very solid, and smooth in testing.
My only experience with Huawei has been very low end entry devices, so I am curious what other's thoughts on this might be. Give me your opinions in the comments!

Compared to a pantech or a huawei, maybe.

I heard the Huawei is gonna be pretty good. All they've made is entry level, so obviously the experience won't be up to par. They introduced some new high end stuff at ctia or whatever just passed lately. Give em a chance, at least read a review first

i just got the new myTouch last week when it was released. I had the one from HTC as that was my replacement to my G2 from Asurion. Have the say the HTC one was a piece of garbage. Worst phone i ever had, thank god it broke a week after i got it and i was forced to get the new myTouch. This device is everything that the G2 was but better. Sure the HTC cam was a really nice piece of hardware, but only the stock OS could run it and that just wasn't worth running.
I'm hoping to root this device tonight!

and what was so great about the HTC myTouch4g if you think i'm wrong? The 3 roms for it were barely stable. Had to remove my battery more than ever. Stock rom was loaded with so much bloat that the phone was virtually useless. Even when they were removed, you still have to choose Maps every time you wanted to navigate someplace as it wanted to use TMo's subscription app.

Seriously man... stop hating. We have enough going on here. We don't need anyone going on about how some phone was better than the slide or the glacier on the GLACIER forum. Whatever phone you have go to that one and talk about how superior it is.

How sad we are thinking Huawei "stepped their game up". Its still got GB on it troll. The simple fact that Hawaii (or whatever the eff they are called, lol) is behind it automatically makes it a paper weight. Why dont you go "upgrade" to that and I'm sure in no time you'll be trolling here again because there wont be jack for dev. over there. Now kick rocks.

Do you have eyes and the ability to process images? Then have I got the challenge for you! Look at our dev section and look at all thoses roms and happy users, count them, if the rom count is under 3. I'll give you $400

This genius is confusing the mytouch 4G Slide with the myTouch 4G. Not only is he wrong about that, he's posting in the wrong forum.

you guys are right, i didn't confuse it, i've got the slide version. my fingers are way to big to use just a touch screen.
you kids need to calm down though, all this troll talk and stuff, is there a bridge that i have to cross? am i looking for a holy grail? geese...
