Hello. Just yesterday I had received my new Dell Inspiron 17R Notebook in the mail, which is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit (Other specs: 500 GB HDD, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 525M 1GB Graphics Chip, Intel Core i7 2.2GHz Quad Core CPU), and I went to go plug my Milestone into the USB port to copy all my music to this PC, and it wouldn't install the drivers. So I manually got them from the Motorola site, installed them, and still, nothing. And whenever I view the status of the installation of drivers when I click the bubble saying, "Found New Hardware, Installing Device Drivers" (Or whatever), it says MTP USB Device................Installing Driver Software. And it hangs there for a while, and then it has an X right next to the word, Failed. I've tried numerous suggestions, but nothing has worked. I really need these drivers to be installed!! Can anyone help?
Your problem is not connected to the MS or the Notebook.
If you have the debugging switched on ( Titanium suggests that for ex ) the MS wants to connect in Debug mode and you need the ADB drivers.
after connecting the phone, pull down the bar, select USB mode and select massstorage mode or switch of debug mode.

i have a realy annoying problem.
i cant connect my device to computer. i tried every way.
just plugging the tf to pc. no success.
enabling usb debugging. no success.

i cant even access recovery.
i got my tf today from lab. they replaced my mobo.
and now when itry to access recovery it's just giving me a big green android with a ! inside.
so i thought. is it possible that the problem is with my usb cable?
and that i'll have to buy a new one just to confirm it?
1.) What are your computer's specifications? (OS, hardware, etc.)
2.) When the Transformer is booted into Android and you connect the USB cale from the tablet to your computer, does your computer make any sort of indication that a new device has been plugged in? (In Windows, for example, you'll get the new hardware sound.)
Hi! I have any problem tooi cant connect my transformer to PC.

Try different USB slot, Try different cable (if you can get one). Try different PC with the same OS (Win7 64-bit).
Try to reinstall Asus Sync, and USB drivers.
If it won't work after you have tried all of these, then I have no idea.
My TF works for me out of the box.

Windows 7 would recognize the TF as a Media device and there in lies the problem. You would have to force the Asus Drivers to take precedence and that is the problem. I am also told you would need the '.Net' framework installed and configured properly - as I had installed this long ago I am not sure whether this is required or not as on my PC I did not face problems due to lack of '.Net'.
On Windows XP I was required to install Windows Media Player 11 and then do some more modifications etc and then install PC Sync software from Asus.
I now have my Windows 7 Ultimate, 64bit working with the TF.
When you connect your Tablet using the Charger cable, does your Tablet say something like 'Searching for PC Sync Software on PC' in the notification area?
Only if it does the TF would even be trying to communicate with the PC - otherwise it would not even be doing that.
I connected my TF to my Windows machine with the sole purpose of rooting the device and I did succeed in doing that.

this still happens when you've enabled usb debugging?
Yeah its been on this whole time.
I turned off debugging, and now it works. Weird. At least I can access my files now.
does Motorola have its own program to sync your milestone with? Like Samsung Kies or HTC Sync? Maybe you can install the drivers through that program. If not, maybe install the drivers by putting the phone into download mode?
Cause before I was experiencing problems, I downloaded and installed the USB and Charge drivers from Motorola's site, and they installed fine, its just the phone wouldn't be recognized by the computer as being a match for those drivers, but not that I disabled Debugging, it immediately worked.
nice, as long as its working.
Hello
At the beginning I would like to apologize for my english.
I have mk888 / k-r42. Specification:
SoC – Rockchip RK3188 quad Cortex-A9 CPU @ 1.6 GHz + Mali-400 MP4 GPU @ 500 MHz
System Memory – 2GB DDR3 SDRAM
Storage – 8GB Nand Flash + MicroSD slot (Up to 32GB)
Connectivity
10/100M Ethernet
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n with external antenna
Bluetooth EDR 2.0 (no have yet)
Video Output – HDMI 1.3 + AV output jack
Audio Output – HDMI + S/PDIF
USB – 2x USB Host
Ok and i have some questions:
1. I connect usb external hdd 320 gb and it's works. File managment will see him but XBMC and efps no. They have no choices to check USB mass storage. Can i fix it ?
2. I connect this box to pc and try rooted. I have windows 8 64x (i try on vista too) and i have problem with instal rockusb drivers. always i have code 10. I do it with this instruction:
=Make sure USB Debugging is enabled on your K-R42(Settings -> Developer Options) - done
=Connect your K-R42 to a Windows PC via the mini USB port. (now only support rooted via Windows PC, no linux or Mac) - done
=Your PC should detect a new device, and try to install the driver. You can download the driver 'link' ( ver 3,5 ) - error
anyone have an idea how to get around this?
3. Anyone from XDA forum is going to buy this device? Interests me support in the future.
If you have any questions about this product is ask and I'll try to answer them.

I have exactly the same problem with this device! I used 4 different cables that are tested with a multimeter and 4 different computers with Windows 7 32bit/64bit and Windows XP SP3. None works. .. windows 7 gets the error and windows xp wont install the drivers at all (says that drivers are not suitable for this device or something similar)
I will try again more and more.. i hope to find something to stop me from returning the device.

ERROR CODE 48 -
"The software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)"
Which means it does not seem to be an issue with the driver not getting installed, but with Windows not allowing the device to be connected!!??
WTF??
Help much appreciated!

Mark.
Problem solved
The Error (code 10) Problem solved with a proper one-piece USB to MicroUSB cable.
Do not use adapters or combined cables (MicroUSB-to-USBFemale combined with USB male to USB male) as they're not working (at least for me on this device).
can you suggest me smart box with av out for connecting with crt tv and have a miracast features in it.
but if miracast will not be available then it will be also ok.
I bought an Irulu 7" tablet, it's running Android 42.2 Jelly Bean. Win 8.1 and Win 7 won't let me connect to it by USB. I just keep getting told I need a USB driver for this. Irulu's website does not list my model in their drivers section, nor do they seem to have any USB drivers up. Where can I find a driver for this tablet? The model is just Irulu_MID. I do not know the chipset for it. I've had no luck searching anywhere for a USB driver for this. I even tried using other drivers from different manufacturers, but nothing works. My pc's just keep insisting I need the right driver for this. Has anyone been successful in connecting this kind of tablet to a pc? My pc sees the device and calls it an Android, it just won't let me do anything with it.
Solved
Solution:
No driver is needed. It is compatible with Win 8.1, but the USB storage is disabled by default on the tablet and the only way to see it is when you plug it into the pc, then it will give you a notification on the tablet to enable it.
It took me twelve hours to figure this out because I was missing seeing the small USB icon on the tablet and didn't bother to look at the notifications on it.
What happens when you plug the Irulu into your pc is that the Irulu puts this tiny USB icon in the upper left of the Irulu tablet screen and there will be a message in your notifications that says click to enable USB. Click it and you finally get the Enable USB Storage screen. Just click the button and it will enable it and your pc will recognize it.
So basically, we've always been looking at our pc's, seeing that it's not recognizing it, when you just needed to find the USB message on the Irulu to enable mass storage and it will only show up when you plug it into your pc.
drivers tho
there you go...
When I connect the USB cable to my Dell Precision M4800, I hear the 'device connected' tone, but then it immediately disconnects. It then proceeds to connect and reconnect at random, often very quick, intervals. Windows never attempts to install the drivers, and when I manually install the latest Samsung USB drivers, nothing changes.
Interestingly, the tablet says 'Connected as media device', but it is not showing up as storage in This PC. I think the rapid connect\disconnect cycles cause Windows to not even try to get a compatible driver, but I'm not sure what to do about it.
Has anyone else been able to connect a GT-8013 to Windows 10?
-------
FYI, running Gnabo Rom, KitKat 4.4.
----- EDIT -----
I have a Windows 7 laptop (Dell XPS 15) that works flawlessly with the tablet. Hooks right up with no fuss.
Win 10 no problem.
Sounds more of a cable or usb port problem .
Sent from my GT-N8013 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I agree. The laptop makes the tablet and cable 'known good'.
Try other USB ports on the troublesome PC; try updating the USB drivers (including the hub) and chipset.
