Is my handset ready for OTA again - HTC Sensation

Quick question,
Can some one please help clarify if my HTC sensation is caple of receiving the ICS OTA update. (UK)
Stock ROM 1.50.401.1 CL125597 release-keys
CID HTC__001
S-OFF
10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M
This phone was on o2. (UK)
I unlocked it via code to accept my "3" network simcard.
I S-off'd,Rooted & SuperCID 11111111 to install some custom roms, now I have flashed with a RRU.exe to restore stock recovery. Also re-done the CID to HTC_001.. all to prepare for OTA ICS.
So, Does this look like im ready for the OTA of ICS, as I cannot tell.
Thank you very much xda

You can flash it manually but I think you need s-on to get the ota itself

Or flash official RUU, make S-ON and then you can receive and install OTA without problems

RUU is already flashed so they just need to S-ON if they want to get the proper OTA

Interesting,
I had CID from Vodafone then I did S-OFF and changed the CID to HTC__001 and flashed stock HTC Europe ROM.
Afterwards I received OTA updates (ICS not yet).
Do I really need to change to S-ON?
Is it dangerous to change to S-ON in my constellation (coming from a vodafone branded phone)?

[Q] Easyest way to 2.3.4 s-off rooted

Hi,
I have an orange Switzerland branded sensation with 1.35.65.1. It's s-off with revolitionary-tool and permanantly rooted with su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip.
I didn't get the ota to 2.3.4 no matter what cid i tried. Origionally it was ORANG216, I also tried HTC__102, HTC__001 and ORANG104.
I don't need a custom rom, just stock 2.3.4 with sense.
What's the easyest way to get there and what do I have to be careful about?

Can't install ICS RUU or ICS OTA on Sensation 4G (T-Mobile)

Hey guys. I have the latest 1.50.401.1 European stock ROM with stock recovery and all (S-ON, CID HTC__001). I installed this a while ago from the lastest European RUU 1.50.401.1 without any issues. I bought the phone at 2nd hand from a guy who installed some custom ROM on it so I flashed that RUU to return to stock (not T-Mobile stock ROM though, which was originally on the phone).
Now I'm trying to install RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.5_Radio_11.69. 3504.00U_11.22.3504.07_M_release_246089_signed.exe which is the lastest ICS RUU I think and the installer comes up with an error about my model ID. MID is PG5810000 (Sensation 4G - TMobile).
Also, I received the OTA after I went back to S-ON and fiddled with the CID yesterday (after running the first RUU a while ago it seems S-OFF didn't go away, not sure if it was supposed to in the first place). The CID is now HTC__001. Not sure what is was originally though. Anyway, I got the ICS OTA and tried to install, but after downloading it aborted the installation with the attached error.
Any ideas? I've been told that I need MID to be PG5813000 to install the ICS RUU, but why did the GB RUU work in the first place?
I want to install either the OTA (would be better) or the RUU, so if anyone has anything to say, I appreciate it.
Thanks!

Stock ROM

Dear members,
I wonder if there is a (stock) ROM from where I can receive updates from HTC itself. So actually the legit stock ROM.
Thanks in advantage

Restore your nandroid or run a RUU
sorry, bad post .
Well that really depends on the carrier.
There is no RUU for the tmo version that is acutally shipping. Just R2 versions and won't get updates.
Need to revert from nandroid and then restore recovery.

seems to be conflicting information. some threads say that if you go back to ruu and stock recovery you can download OTAs. as long as you have the correct CID.
If you root, set your CID to HTC__001 and then install the Europe RUU, my understanding is that you would still get OTA updates on that stream. I read somewhere that setting the CID to 11111111 (SuperCID) it blocks OTA updates no matter what RUU you install.
Setting the CID to 11111111 blocks any chance of receiving OTA. But it also means you can run ANY RUU, whether it be unbranded, T-Mobile UK, O2, T-Mobile US etc. If you want HTC Unbranded CID (you can flash WWE RUUs, and receive updates over the air) you can change your CID to HTC__001 (two underscores).
As far as I know, if you set your CID to the T-Mobile US one, and run a previous RUU, you should receive the T-Mobile OTA. I think T-MOB010 is T-Mobile US, so you might have to set that CID (fastboot oem writecid T-MOB010) and then flash the stock recovery (fastboot flash recovery link_to_recovery.img , before running an old RUU (not older than your current version, though. It can be higher or equal to it). Then check for updates, you should receive it.

CID

Quick questions!!
My CID is BM__001 (Bell Mobility Canada). It is rooted, unlocked bootloader and CWRM recovery
I want the latest update (4,1 sense and not the 4.0 I'm stuck with and down the line the latest jellybean) WITHOUT a custom rom!
If I change Cid to HTC__001 I have read I can apply the international unbranded RUU and I will get them.
1. Will I have to flash radios or anything of the sort in order to make it work with my network in Canada?
2. What are the advantages of keeping my Bell CID?
3. What are the advantages of CHANGING to the HTC__001 CID?
4. Is it possible without s-off?
Sorry for the noobish questions put couldnt find simple answers to these questions!

The update you seek hasn't been released yet so it's impossible at this time.
I meant sense 4.1 OR the later jelly bean update my bad!

If your phone already has the bootloader unlocked and a custom recovery why not just flash a rom?
Thanks for the answer!
Because I want to be able to OTA update without loosing all my data and settings..
With a custom ROM it will be a bit more of a hassle.
1. If I change my CID will I have to flash the RUU or will it do it by itself?

You would have to run a RUU with the one you would like to receive future updates from. This will relock your bootloader so you would have to unlock it again through htcdev.

Help getting back to stock

I'm planning on putting my phone fully back to stock. I just have a few questions that I can't find answers to, if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
Background
S4 Version
HBoot: 1.06*
Bought the phone second hand, it was carrier unlocked and already rooted etc.*
The phone CID says orangeuk, but*I use 3UK Network.*I'm going to have to use SuperCID before I flash the ruu, because there is no orangeUK ruu available.
1.**Is the HTC_001 the best CID to use for ota's and ruu files?
2. When I re-lock bootloader and flash ruu, will I lose the carrier unlock?
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
I dont have an answer for 1 but im pretty sure about 2 that carrier unlock wont go. Once you unlock it it stays unlocked
Right, this is my plan to get back to stock. If anyone has any better ideas please let me know!
1. Change radio 1.06es version to match ruu radio (read somewhere the ruu might not run if my radio is newer, currently 1.11)
2. Change CID to HTC__001 to run 2.31 WWE ruu.
3. Re-lock Bootloader
4. Run 2.31 WWE ruu
5. Update software via OTA to JB.
6. Carrier unlock phone if necessary using code created while rooted.
Questions
Do I have to flash stock recovery or will the ruu do that?
Can I run the 2.31 WWE ruu from hboot 1.06, or do I need to use 1.53 ruu as that has the same hboot?
I assume the OTA will also update my radio to 1.11?
Thanks

The RUU should update everything. Including the stock recovery, Hboot, and radio. I already Rooted the One S. Then unrooted. Then rooted again. The only thing i will mention....
Make sure you have the stock Boot.img first. Then use Fastboot to load the boot.img. then you can flash the RUU. Good luck
