Can't send files through bluetooth - HTC Sensation

Hi,
I have a Sensation XE and I can't seem to send files from my laptop to the device (neither vice-versa). I have Windows 7.
I know its bluetooth works because I once connected my old Nokia phone to the device.
It goes like this: before any pairing I try to pair my device with my laptop. Confirmation code appears (my phone is discoverable obviously), I press Ok on my laptop (and phone), my Windows stays for like 30 seconds on "Connecting..." or whatever it was called then it says it has successfully added my phone.
Ok, so now I'm trying to send something to my phone (while it's still in discoverable mode), I send the file, see my device in the List and it just stays for 1 minute on "Connecting" then it says "couldn't connect to device because it hasn't responded". I don't have any notification on my phone whatsoever, my FTP service is turned on.
When I try to send something from my phone to my laptop same thing happens: no notification on windows or anything. After a minute it says on my phone's notification: "This transfer is forbidden by the target device" dafuq is that all about.... i frigging paired it.

Can you bluetooth an image to another phone? This would either indicate or rule out your laptop/phone as the issue area.

LG Incite CT810 - Problem with USB

So I got my shiny new LG Incite at Best Buy yesterday. I knew I was getting it a while ago, so I downloaded a bunch of games and apps to load it up with as soon as possible. I get home from the store, play around with it and let it charge for a while, then I try to connect it to my computer (After installing ActiveSync 4.5 from the included disk, as well as both of the USB drivers on the disk). Windows comes up with that "found new hardware" stuff and asks where to look for the driver to install. I tell it to look on the CD, as well as the directories where the USB drivers from the disk were installed. It looks like it's working at first, but then I get this error:
(Error: "The data is invalid.")
Then it gives me the message balloon about how there was an error during installation and my new hardware may not work properly, etc. Now when I go to Device Manager, a number of things showed up with that little yellow exclamation point that I'm pretty sure were not there before, but I could be wrong:
- IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers: VIA OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller
- Network Adapters: Unknown device, WAN miniport (L2TP), WAN miniport (Network Monitor), and Windows Mobile-based Device
- Ports (COM & LPT): Communications Port (COM1)
So I tried reinstalling the drivers from a link I found in a thread on these boards (after clicking uninstall for "Windows Mobile-based Device" and having it tell me that the device is necessary to boot up the computer), but the same thing keeps happening. I also tried having ActiveSync scan for devices, but it never finds anything (Just says that USB is "available").
Please help, I really want to start putting pictures, music, and all that good stuff on my brand new phone
(btw, I'm pretty sure the problem is with the software/drivers on the computer, because when I plug in the USB cable the phone starts to charge. Other than that, nothing happens on the phone.)
If at all possible, I would try using the phone with another computer. For quite some time I was only able to sync data with my laptop and not my desktop, so I knew it was a software issue and not the phone itself.
would say it's down to
dead activesync install and no uninstalling it is not enough one have
to remove all traces of it in registry too
and it could also be an issue with usb drviers for the motherboard

Well, I'm not going to have another computer until September at least, so I really want to get it working on this computer, but I guess I could test it out on a friend's pc to see if my computer is the problem.

Know of any links or tutorials that would tell me all of the registry entries I'd have to remove?
(Sorry for the double post, but no one was replying...)
So I found my bluetooth adapter for my PC, and after I installed the proper software I could connect to my phone no problem. After that, I just used the bluetooth adapter's software to transfer files to my phone via FTP. (ActiveSync still just sat there, even when I set my phone to sync with bluetooth instead of USB, and I allowed wireless connections in ActiveSync)
So I'm glad I can finally transfer files, but I still want to get USB working. No one has any ideas at all?
(Triple post... sorry)
Ok, something happened to the bluetooth drivers and software now. I turned my computer off for the night after using bluetooth to transfer files to my phone, but when I turned on my pc today and clicked the shortcut to start the bluetooth software, I got a message saying that the program the shortcut was linking to no longer existed. Sure enough, the folder was gone from my Program Files directory. Now, every time I try to reinstall it, I get an error 183 that installation was interrupted.
So now I'm back to having no means of transferring files to my phone.
Please, any suggestions at all will be helpful to me at this point. I'm at my wits end!
Any progress on this?
I have a similar problem. I think usb sync worked on my laptop at one point, but hasn't for at least a week.
I was able to fix the problem at least temporarily by disconnecting the device, deleting it from ActiveSync and reconnecting. ActiveSync happily added it back and resynced everything. Now I can install the new Xcite ROM.
Still nothing...
Now my computer doesn't do anything at all when I plug my phone in, not even make a noise or ask about drivers. My phone, however, still recognizes that it's plugged in.
At least I got bluetooth working again, but still, USB would be nice.
It's hard to believe that out of every member on this forum, no one has even the slightest idea of where to start...
Menu - settings - connections - USB to PC.
Uncheck Enable advanced ...
OK TO ALL AND READY

T-Mo HD2 failing to Bluetooth sync to Windows 7 Laptop

Ok guys, here is the scoop:
I just purchased a new laptop with the following relevant specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Integrated Broadcomm Bluetooth Adapter
Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1
I am using the standard (non-modified) T-Mobile HD2.
When I try to pair the two, there is an error on the laptop talking about how the "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" driver did not install properly, but others did. I can use some functions of the bluetooth pairing such as going through the file system to the device and transferring files from the phone to the computer. However, Windows Mobile Device Center does not recognize the phone as "connected" even though the option to allow the phone to connect via bluetooth is selected.
Also, I can not go through my phone to "push" a file from the phone to the computer. Actually, any bluetooth related action fails if initiated through the phone.
I have searched for hours on this issue and can not seem to find a resolution that works anywhere on the internet.

Pandora Stops When Connected to PC

I've successfully gotten the Pandora app to work great on my HTC Touch Pro 2 phone (WinMo 6.5) following advice from another thread here, and have a device adapter for my larger computer speakers...it sounds great! Thanks!!
However...whenever I'm listening (at work) and connect the phone to my computer (via USB), Pandora stops working! In the Microsoft ActiveSync Connection Settings, I even have "allow wireless connection to device when connected to the desktop" selected, but selected or not, it still stops playing when I connect it to my computer. (I want to keep it connected so the battery stays charged).
So basically, I want to listen to Pandora thru my phone and keep it charging at the same time. (It charges as it's connected thru USB. I can't listen to Pandora thru my work computer, cuz it's blocked by a Barracuda filter.) Is it somehow reading my phone as an extra drive? If so, is there a way to turn this on and off as needed?
Any clues on how to fix this? Keep it simple, cuz I am a newbie when it comes to messing with this stuff.
Thanx!
(sorry if this question has been posted before...I couldn't find anything on it...)

[Q] G2 USB connection problems

I'm trying to use android file transfer on my macbook and every time i plug in my phone it automatically selects the "PC Software" option and it loads up a screen that says "Installing PC Programs.....Please check your PC" but nothing happens on my PC or phone.
I select the Media Sync (MTP) option on my phone but it will literally switch it back to PC software on its own. I've even unplugged my phone, changed the setting and plugged it back in and it keeps forcing itself onto the PC Software option, i've even gone so far to restart my phone and computer.
I have the USB drivers from LG for my macbook and phone installed but it's not working. To make things more annoying I was using android file transfer like 3 weeks ago but for some reason this keeps happening.
Any help would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you.

Bluetooth: "couldn't connect" to Win10

Hi. In the last couple of days, I used "Bluetooth Audio Receiver" from the Microsoft store to be able to play back music from my S20 FE android 11 device at work. I often step away from my work desk with my phone in my pocket, but yesterday I wasn't able to reconnect my phone via Bluetooth when I came back. Since then I can't connect to my work and my personal PC anymore, even tho I didn't even connect to my personal PC for a while.
I'm able to unpair and pair with said Windows 10 machines, but as soon as I tap the entry in the Bluetooth menu, it says "couldn't connect". I already tried to use the reset for wifi/Mobil/Bluetooth within the android setting, but it didn't change anything.
Restarted my phone and both PCs multiple times. It feels like something in my phone hang itself. I'm still able to send files from my PC to my phone and vice versa. I'm still able to fully use my smartwatch and Bluetooth headset.
Is there anything I can do? Any ideas?
PS: My phone is rooted.
Edit1: I just deleted cache and data of the Bluetooth app and did another reset of my network settings. I now can't pair with Windows 10 anymore. It says "couldn't connect" after the pairing dialog. My Win10 Device recognizes my Android device as paired. Which means I can't even send or receive files at my phone from my Windows 10 devices.
Edit2: My headset was still paired. Is there a way to reset saved pairing and data related to that?
Edit3: I don't know why I couldn't pair with my Windows device anymore, but it works again (Didn't do anything). Still can't connect to it, but can send files again.
TLDR:
Android 11 S20 FE can't connect to multiple Windows devices anymore with the massage: "can't connect".
UnPairing and pairing again won't help
Restarting effected devices won't help.
Resetting network settings won't help.
Nobody has an idea what it could have triggered it or what I could try to do?
Any idea is much appreciated.
