Most of the hottest iOS games ARE available to Android users. If it's not even available for iOS yet, then what makes you think it won't come to Android?
That's what I got told on another site, iv got a iPhone and the Sony experia play and the amount of high quality games on Ios by the big developer companys is unreal :-( it's just what I see with looking at Ios app store games n andriod game it's disgusting how favoritism Ios gets with games and apps

The only reason why the iOS is so popular, is because it's so simple.
Again though, just because it's coming out on iOS first, doesn't mean Android won't get it. Don't get discouraged, you could even send the Developer an email asking if they plan for Android OS support.
I believe that most game developers release their titles for iOS first (due to having to support only a few devices), then bring their games over to Android (where they have to support several more devices).

The iphone is the most popular single phone so a dev can get the game out to a larger group of people with less development. Games on android often require separate files for different gpus I've noticed. Some games will onlh be for tegra and not work on powervr for example. It would be nice if android had something universal for devs like directx on windows so that all gpus with enough power would work.
Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk
And the biggest reason of all. Android apps and games are selling very small quantities compared to their iOS counterpart, they don't get much money in return.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
Not to mention the gpu on the 4s is 2x more powerful than what the current Android handset has. I'm referring to the Mali on the current Exynos devices in case anyone was wondering.

i dont play games on my phone but if the phone in some way reaches my GFs hand then its a different story and i can wave a big goodbye to my battery
As for IOS getting the latest games i think its because if they release it for iphone it will be a lot easier to implement due to having it on all iphones quickly. Androids problem is that manufacturers nowadays use different components in there phones making it take much more work to develop and application/game for all android devices

Because iOS users actually pay for apps, Android side loading makes pirating software do easy that a mentally challenged chimp could do it. There's also an issue of fragmentation and crappy SDK, which makes Android less attractive to devs.

I have to be honest, I seriously have considered switching to WP7 when it comes out, purely for the xbox live gaming.
But this looks like it will bring a similar experience to Android
2 things have happened here imo:
- Sony have realised Xbox gaming on WP7 is a good idea
- Google want 3.0 to compete gaming wise with the iPhone.
I wonder if they will integrate this into their new "Google Me" Service.
My thoughts exactly Cypher84... FINALLY! After seeing concept photos of what the PSP phone would look like I can finally see it become a reality Needless to say I'm excited and will be following that article.

Also I'm sure the guys at XDA could hack devices to allow running the games.
Hi guys, I found this on the web...
"Many have the saying “Apple have it their way, Android have it your way.” Wrong, Apples mobile operating system needs not to compete with Android as the operating systems top rated UI which never crashes has become the worlds most popular mobile device operating system. The reliability of iOS totally thwarts the unfriendly confusing and crash-prone UI and in general system of Android."
I don't think so.... Android sells 47% of their phones and Apple sells 30% of their phones and the rest are RIM etc....
You only just realized ANDROID RULE

I don't even see them as competing to people to people who know tech, they are too different animals.
In my opinion if you're going to run bone stock and never want to know anything about your phones operating system or customize anything, the iPhone is the way to go, like for old people and stuff. However if you enjoy changing things, high performance hardware and software, constantly pushing the envelope of performance, and having options for configurations and OS versions, Android is definitely the way to go.
Of course we are a very small majority of consumers who buy smart phones, so both companies need to market their gimmicks. But I think for different demographics they both have their advantages. Of course for us on this forum the phones advantages aren't feared towards us.

Hi all,
I've been a both android and iPhone user. And for now I've switched back to android for Galaxy S3 because it has much bigger screen and wanna try how fast it is. However, it's my feeling I think not quite different from 4S, even 4S can respond fast in every game and application compared to galaxy. I don't know why... just feel like that during the time I use it.
One more thing is that I wonder why almost every game or application under the same name from iPhone, got available ahead of android and most of them have much more features and quality than android as well, eg., asphalt 7....
Sometimes, I feel so sad about this...
So I am waiting to read about all of your opinions on this matter...

It's because of the I in front of it. Apple have hacked the Android Play Store to check an online database of Iphone Apps, and if any developer tries to put an app on the Play store, the Apple Virus checks if the same app is already available for the Iphone. If it's not, it will delay the Android app in Stealth mode, and send the sourcecode to Apple. Apple will then convert the app for IOS, put an I in front of the name, and release it for Iphone. As soon as they do, the name with the I in front of it gets transferred to the remote database, signaling the Apple virus that this particular app is now available on Iphone, and it's safe to come out of Stealth mode and release the app into the Play Store, but upon release, the virus cuts out 2 or 3 random features. They did this so they can claim that they always have apps faster then Android, and with more features. Now you know.
Apple has a very limited set of devices which they have to support in their OS. Thus much more optimization can be done to "smooth" such things. That said, I find JB with Project Butter quite impressive in this regard.
But with owning a non-Nexus Samsung device you are not in the best hands regarding non-bloated and smooth firmwares.

Hmm, like what you said I should go to one "smooth" is better then holding many types of devices which is good only in shapes and spec but doesn't have quality. I still don't know how Google encourage their 3rd party devs to make one good app or game for android. As to hacker307 said seem play store is a cow-don't fix.

I regularly eat apples. Sometimes they tell me stuff.
Apple has far better system integration with their line of products. A good example is the iPhone 4S which has inferior spec compared with similar priced Android phones, but still it runs much more smooth than most of the android phone. Because every iPhone 4S is exactly the same, so software developer knows exactly how their software will perform on those units, and hence much more easier to optimize performance.
As to why iOS games is always ahead of Android, I believe that has a lot to do with the eco system of AppStore and Google Play respectively. iOS is more profitable than Google, but that is just my guess.
I can't understand what u have found about this two devices. I own an ipod 4th gen and I can say that my galaxy s plus is faster. I know iphone is the most beautiful but not the best at specs... I am sorry my friend. Also about the hacking is correct...

I think you are right, that is the reason. Dev`s tend to develop apps/games to get the most profit first.
I believe that all apple devices are pretty much the same since the first one so so application's can be made more quickly and easily. But android phones are made by different companies using different hardware so harder for developers

all know that apple is the world's most famous, loved and reliable company. Has great fan following but when i consider or even think of b s we uying an IDEVICE....i think of loosing all the customization and tweaks i use to do with my own samsung device......i purchased Galaxy note2 few months back and if i compare it now in market, there are almost 5 devices which look exactly same as my Galaxy note2, and how can i forget the build quality(cheap plastic **** all over them).
Being a hardcore gamer i purchased a quadcore device thinking i would be able to play all games(earlier i had tab2 dual core) but now question arises is AM I HAPPY WITH GAMING EXP.?
certainly not. There are lot of title which are not on android and also here THD games into the picture costly galaxy devices doesn't support THD titles but how cum all these are playable on IDEVICES? We all know this but without any lags unbelievable
IOS VS ANDROID less extreme
customization ''
---------------------------------------------
less very high
tweaks and fun
due to restrictions ''
and other reasons

highy stable less ''

less devs lot ''
choice to work ''

samsung- keeps cheating apple and increasing sales and earning a lot.
apple- crying and suing samsung
Court-no result
apple vs samsung big fight but apple don't cheat....lol....who cares people want quality this is what samsung does
don't u guys think its the time to return the favour back and apple should take a big step and launch its first android device
like htc did, they are lauching windows as well as android devices playing on both's sides
WHO CARES? MONEY AND CUSTOMERS SATISFACTION SHOULD BE THE FIRST PRIORITY.

will this ever happen?

Absolutely incorrect, not at all the world's most loved company at all. Everyone hates the fact that they can get away with releasing the same thing each year with the same 5-year-old OS and no innovation and still make the best-selling phone of the year.
No, Apple will never release a device with Android. That's completely absurd. It would be like Microsoft announcing their new Surface which runs Ubuntu out of the box.
Now, I don't actually know what the point of this thread is but the entire bit in the middle is a bit difficult to understand, maybe you could try a different translator?
Finally, the reason games work smoother on iOS is because of app optimisation. It helps that the iPhone has a great GPU but the main reason is that devs only have to optimise their apps for a small range of phones on the App store whereas the apps on the Play store have to work for hundreds of different phones with different chipsets. You get things like Tegra optimised apps but not much more.

Get rid of the poorly autotranslated program descriptions. They sound ridiculous, at least in German. Use English text instead or look for good translators.
Try to include important keywords into your app desription, like the title of the original games - but in a "natural" manner.
The visual style of your game is not appealing. Use a better font, do not use "dirty grey* backgrounds. Use flat graphics. Try to get inspiration by games like Dots and Threes.
It looks like your game is quite hard to play on a 4" device. Try to make your assets bigger.

Your target devices have amazing hardware inside. your game should be able to tap into that powerful hardware resource available.
Otherwise target the low end android devices to improve the game popularity nad bugs and then work your way upto the flagships !!
You should also do more to promote your game. Go on Google+, start a blog, etc. You can't just depend on word of mouth, you have to self promote.
I generally love when people try pushing their apps into the store, but this game does not look attentive at all.Just because you worked on an app for a long time doesn't mean it will be a hit.
People like hd, possibly 3d apps that aren't too complicated.
Average people want a simple game to kill time, which is attractive. I don't know how to describe, but you must have talent for it xD

But vast majority of user have budget devices when newly launched. These devices were launched as flagships ( flagships are not brought by majority of people ).
Try improving the basic graphics of game so that, it does not give an impression of a cheap or free game even if small in size.
Release the app on iOS and Windows store . Since iOS popular games are more blindly followed into the Play Store popularity ratings by blogs.
This will give enough popularity fir your game.
See the problem is you are good in designing and all , but you need to learn to market your skills to people also. you need to highlight your plus points more visibly in the already crowded world of apps & games.
make people notice the difference.

Honestly , with the current icon, even when i am searching for a game and title meets the requirement, i would likely skip it for some spam and all.
Cause it looks like many other games out there already popular, just in different background. There are still a lot of games that can be played on budget hardware, I still use my evo 4g on cm11 and run a lot of the games I like that came out this year.
And now to me you've made it to where people will point and laugh and say that's the dev crying nobody's downloading they're app...actually, that is good marketing lol
